Well, the only legal way to get it, that I know of, is to buy it. You could try Ebay or Amazon to try and find one that costs less. Myself, I was lucky that my dad had it and let me use it, since he had an updated version.
Mine were made the size they are now. There isn't really a trick, you just need to have it that size to begin with. You can't take it and put it in your sig and have it be bigger that it normally is.
