"All alone, are we?" Van Helsing began with a smile, stepping a little faster to walk next to Anna.
"Who said anything about werewolves?" Van Helsing said, pushing past Anna slightly to get inside. "And, as far as vampires go... there's nothing wrong with having an inside man."
"The Vatican knows about you, miss," Van Helsing added slowly, carefully. "They want to help as well."
"We're actually looking for some assistance," Van Helsing began, taking his hand off the handle of his gun. "Regarding what you base your life around. We have some information that will assist us all in the coming future... I'd appreciate it, then, if you'd..." He paused, reaching over to lightly brush her hand on her own gun, "... if you'd put that away."
"I figured someone like you would know my face at a glance, Miss Valerias," Van Helsing began, a small smile on his face when he caught her eye.
"Try it for a few hundred lifetimes," Van Helsing muttered, unable to stop himself from touching the handle of his gun.
"Thank you," Van Helsing sighed, looking up at the windows of the high stones again.
"I hope so," Van Helsing muttered as they reached the giant, looming front doors of the castle. He knocked the ancient, iron-clad wood with a fist.
"I'm going to be honest, for once," Van Helsing answered them both. "I'll tell her, at first, what Carl and I are up to... and then all you people in there... and then the information Edward gained so honorably in Rome that can finish Dracula. She can't refuse to help us and tell us anything she may know."
"Let's go, then, gentleman," Van Helsing said, stepping forward now.
"True," Van Helsing muttered. "Well... I guess Carl and I can go..."
happy song!!!!! *parties*
"Should we just go up, I guess?" Van Helsing asked.
OOC: ALL MUST LOVE MY NEW AVVY!!! "Me either," Van Helsing muttered, slowly down the pace of the carriage as they pulled closer to the enormous castle, admiring how old and strong the stone fortress seemed to be despite the look of fragile age. He knew that the marble, sandstone, cement, and brick that composed the huge structure would last for many centuries despite what the Transylvanian weather tossed at it. The castle was more storm-worn on the northern side, facing the mountains and the direction that the snow came from. He eyed each of the windows he could see carefully, trying to catch any sign of light, guessing that if there was more than one lit pane, there would be more than one person inside. Nothing reflected any light; all the dull, faded red, velvet curtains he could see were coated in dust, the afternoon light destroying them even further. Van Helsing tilted his head up higher, smiling when he saw that the tops of the tallest spires of the castle were caught in the clouds that hung low over the land, making the afternoon sun seem almost night. The light passed through the rain-heavy stratosphere in an almost unearthly way, the yellow dashes contorted to an ugly, demented grey-silver that made the castle's stone faces seeming alive, coated in moss, weedy growth, and dust. "Lovely, isn't it?" Van Helsing said, finally letting go of Jinx's hand to pull Lexi and Sorin to a stop near the front gates. His tone was almost serious.
Van Helsing nodded. "Wow!" he exclaimed suddenly, motioning his head forward. "Now that's a castle!"
oml me too!!! time for johnnypoo!!
"Maybe dead," Van Helsing thought aloud. "If that's possible."
kkk sounds guuud! (JUST LIKE PEANUT)
"Oh, I know," Van Helsing sighed. "Trust me... but I have Carl, have for a long time... and look where that's got me."
"Doesn't show much intelligence on her part, though," Van Helsing said. "I mean, having such a dangerous mission in her life, I think she'd have more protection."
