Luke retreated the few steps he had taken forward, standing back next to Elizabeth. "We're... lost," Luke began slowly, amazed he was talking to the animal. "We don't know where we are."
"What's it doing?" Luke asked, taking another tentative step toward it.
Van Helsing turned, grabbing Anna by the throat and pinning her against the nearest tree. "What the hell is wrong with you?" he snapped, tightening his grip in anger. "Why did you do that?"
Luke sighed and rushed forward past the others, bursting into a small run. He dodged around several trees, looking around him for any sign of an animal. He slowed when he saw little tracks in the snow, close to him. "What are you?" he asked himself quietly. Then he stopped in his tracks, glancing around the tree and finally seeing something. "Guys," he whispered over his shoulder. "It's a... badger."
"Jinx!" Van Helsing shouted, aiming his gun quickly, but he couldn't shoot yet, waiting for a clear shot at just the werewolf.
"What is it, Liz?" Luke asked. "What do you hear, exactly?"
Van Helsing raised his eyebrows, surprised. Wow, he thought to himself. I never thought I'd hear that voice come out of that body...
"Velkan, I think," Van Helsing answered. "Her older brother, whom I know she thought was dead until tonight."
Luke stopped and listened. "I can't hear... wait..."
Van Helsing turned in the direction that Jinx has showed him. "Can he hear us?" he whispered to her. "I can't see... can't smell as well as you."
"There's nothing to see," Luke commented, following the others. "Liz, come back here!"
"You should speak with Alex," Luke said as they walked. "She's the one 'in charge.'"
"Not really," Van Helsing said, walking out onto the dark path and gazing around from under his hat. "But I have a feeling he's looking for us as well..."
OOC: HERE WE GOOOOO!!! Luke followed Elizabeth and Alex, still smiling to himself. "There's no one here," he began after a minute. "Do you think we'll find anyone to speak to?"
"Um," Van Helsing thought aloud. "Yes... I figured I'd need you with me so they would believe anything that happens. Plus you can help kill him if you wish."
"There's no way to control a werewolf like this, just days after he's been turned. Jinx, trust me..." He turned to look at her as they left the castle. "I've thought about all you've said already... we don't have a choice."
"He's going to kill, Jinx," Van Helsing muttered, snapping apart his gun to load several more bullets. "We can't risk that, especially with the way he's behaving."
"Anna's brother," Van Helsing began, motioning for her to start walking with him. "He's a werewolf, and he's just been bitten recently, I think, from the way he's behaving. I've got to go after him." "I'm better than you, apparently," Edward pointed out, letting go of her and stepping away from the bed. "I'm just going to ask what's going on. I won't leave the castle."
