Prologue

It was the last week in October. It was warm and humid on that Sunday afternoon. Sora was sitting on the warm sand. Just thinking about Saturday and what would be going on then.

It would be Halloween and the official "Destiny Islands Harvest Festival". It was established a 20 years ago when a group of kids (who are now all adults) asked about creating a Halloween Festival.

Since the island grew tropical fruits and October was around the time when the farmers collected the fruit, the Mayor decided to call it a Harvest Festival.

Ever since the event was organized there were five activities that everyone can participate in. The activities were: a GIANT trampoline, carnival games (ring toss, test your strength, etc...), whack the pinata, costume contest, and lastly a dance party where the winner of the costume contest party would be announced after a few songs. The winner of the costume contest would get a special spotlight dance with the person of his or her choosing.

Of course they would have to be in your age group. The age groups were: 3-5yrs, 6-8yrs, 9-12yrs, 13-16yrs, and 17-18yrs.

Everyone older would be chaperone and everyone younger would have to sit through a puppet movie about flowers.

It was kind of funny. The little kids' babysitters would fall asleep and that's when the action would start. When Sora was little Riku broke into the candy stash while their friends Tidus, Wakka, and Selphie pulled out a rated "R" movie unknowingly. It was called "The Return of the Duck and Dog men".

All of the kids were awake and hyper throughout the whole movie. They all saw the whole thing. Of course little kids and a rated "R" movie don't exactly get along. They all had nightmares until they were old enough to realize that the events in that movie could never happen.

But...

When Sora was out adventuring for his friends and Donald and Goofy accidentally fell on top of him. He freaked out. Luckily they were able to explain the situation and get on with the adventure.

As Sora kept staring into the ocean thinking about the costume contest, Riku came over to see what Sora was doing.He was curious because Sora had been gazing into the ocean for a two hours now.

"Hey Sora. What's wrong?" Riku asked.

"It's nothing really. Just thinking about the costume contest next week." Sora replied solemnly.

"What you don't have your costume yet or something?"

"You do?"

"Yep. But that's okay. You have a whole week to get ready."

"This year I wanna win the costume competition this year. I really actually am not creative in the costume area. That was kinda Donald's thing"

"Look. it couldn't have been that bad."

"Oh yeah?" Sora dared as he pulled his wallet from pocket and took out a stack of pictures from all of the years he competed in the costume competition.

The first year he thought if he dyed all of his clothes black then it would be an actual costume. The second year Sora tried to wear a ghost outfit, but he found out that wearing a pink bed sheet with holes was just like asking to be called a girl. The third year he dressed as a magician, but he didn't consider the fact that him going on the trampoline with an out fit longer than you is not a good idea.

The pictures went on until finally Sora reached last year's photo. He dressed up as the keyblade master but he didn't win because a competitor arrived. A competitor that would do anything to make sure Sora didn't get what he wanted by any means necessary. His name was Kai. He pulled the water fountain trick so that Sora had to hide in the bathroom until everyone left. Riku, of course, knew exactly what he was trying to pull.

Sora figured that if he did that last year he would pull something even worse this year.

"Okay I admit last year was pretty bad, but this year we'll have everyone help you with you costume. I mean everyone already has theirs." Riku explained

"You mean Donald and Goofy too right?" Sora questioned.

"Of course! Donald can poof the outfit together after we make the design and Goofy can strengthen the out fit so it's water, fire, and stain proof.

"Sounds like a plan." Sora said with contentment


Day 1 THE BEGINNING

Morning 8:00 a.m.

"Alright everyone," Selphie said in a harsh tone as if all of the people gathered to help Sora were in boot camp. Riku had done a pretty good job at rallying everyone together. He was able to contact Donald and Goofy and they came right away. Selphie, Tidus, and Wakka sprung to the challenge the first opportunity they could get. Right now Selphie was explaining the plan.

"here is what we are going to need for Sora's awesome Halloween costume. We'll need a huge package of foil, some black and gray camouflage fabric, some flour, and water. We'll also need some body guards with Sora until the day of the contest. Lastly we're going to make sure that Kai doesn't go near Kairi. If he does he'll only try to become like Sora only he'll try to be a better Sora than Sora. Got it?"

*Cricket* *Cricket*

"Just keep Kai away from Kairi."

"Right!" said everyone in unison,

"Now I'll divide you guys up into your groups and your group assignments. Riku, Tidus, and Goofy you'll keep Kai away from Kairi, Donald you'll have to be Sora's body guard, and Wakka and I will collect the supplies. Any questions?"

"Yeah. Why can't Wakka and I be in the same group?" Tidus asked naggingly

"Because instead of body guarding Sora you two would talk about blitzball and Sora would have had a blitzball print on his face for the whole entire week!" Selphie exclaimed.

"Meeting adjourned."

"but..." Tidus started.

"We have six days to find everything we can't get off schedule at all or else Sora won't have a chance!"

"Fine..."

So that ended the morning. And as the sun rose in the sky,their helterskelter little plot that was formed in the morning, would begin to come together, into an organized plan.

-There will be Seven chapters (days) each will consist of morning, afternoon, and night.
-The new guy, Kai, is (or should be) the only custom character
