Kira's breath caught, and she tripped, sprawling over one of the roofs to hang over the edge. Damn she thought, trying to pull herself back up. Her sword seemed to weigh more by the minute. She looked down at the street below, wondering how many bones it would break if she dropped.
Kira didn't look back, running to where Kate was. She needed to find her for some reason. She turned a corner, falling slightly,scraping her knee, then she was back up, running faster. She needed to find Kate. That was the only thought going through her mind.
