Kira jerked awake, tasting blood in her mouth. She hadn't been allowed food in ten days, and her stomach felt like it was trying to digest itself. Maybe it was. She couldn't see very much, only that there was a window and a large door made of some kind of metal. "Help." she whispered, though there was little chance of anyone hearing. She just wanted to know she wasn't alone.
