She smiled slightly, then took Rei's arm. "I need to talk to you." she murmured.
Eva aimed carefully, and fired again, ducking down. The arrow came close to her cheek, making it cold with the air that breezed by.
Xion dropped to her knees, her hands over her head. She felt like she was about to scream....then the pain vanished.
She slowly crawled over to him, confused, but determined. "No one needs to be alone." she murmured, patting his leg gently.
Eva spat, clearing her mouth of dust, then leaned against the wall.
She tilted her head. "Are you okay?" she asked.
Eva grabbed her bow, dogding two more arrows. "I'll cover you." she murmured, quickly shooting an arrow, grinning as she heard a yell.
She looked up, even more surprised. This was so...unPheonix like. "Why?" she asked.
Eva looked up the new voice, then shook her head. She knew right then and there she wasn't killing Rei.
She smiled at him, then nodded. "Let's go." she said, grinning viciously.
The pain came suddenly, making Xion double over. I'm not gone yet. the voice hissed, clawing at her.
Eva slumped back, holding her hand against her chest. "For all I know it could be a portal to hell. Why would you send me back, anyway?"
She smiled up at him, her eyes sparkling.
She shuddered, staying still for a second. She wouldn't kill Rei, even if he was stupid and childish. She wouldn't. She closed her eyes.
Eva gasped as the arrow brushed past her, cutting her shoulder, again. "Get down." she hissed, closing her eyes against the pain. Who the hell was here?
"I'm not going to do what you would do." she murmured. "I'm not going to kill, just because you are a threat."
She managed to smile back, holding back her tears. So much had happened.....she rubbed at her eyes, then took a deep breath.
Eva violently shook her head, struggling to get free again. She lifted her leg up and kicked behind her.
She smiled, lowering her hand slowly. "Anytime." she murmured.
Eva moved toward the door, knife at the ready. Just when she was going to peer out, her shoulder twinged, making her flinch, and the floorboard squeak.
