Aly looked away. "Revenge won't get you anywhere." she murmured sadly. "It only breeds hate, which breeds more hate. An endless cycle."
Nadia considered, then threw the bread at him. "We aren't alike." she retorted. Eva barely held back a laugh, covering her mouth with her hand to keep from smiling.
Aly looked over at him sympathetically. "I'm sorry." It didn't seem like he had moved on, as she had. "That's why you asked me those questions, correct?" Her inquisitive mind had gotten her into trouble, but she couldnt' help but ask these questions. She wanted to know.
Eva shushed Nadia by shoving the tore up bread into her hands, giggling at her face. "He's right at that, Nadia. Now let it go."
Aly smiled again. "That's the grand illusion of it all, isn't it?" she murmured, mostly to herself. "So what about you? Any hidden madness I need to worry about?"
Aly grinned again. "Wait till you get to know me. If you last that long." she looked up at the sky, counting the stars as she walked. "I'm the type of person people try to avoid, for their own personal safety."
Aly glanced over at him, her eyes curious. "I gave him a drink, and he paid me. That's about it." she answered, then looking straight ahead. Tonight's encounter had made her wary, she didn't want to be caught off guard again. "I just assumed he didn't like me for some reason. People usually don't." she flashed a grin.
Aly watched the other guy walk off and shrugged. He didn't seem like the stop anc chat type. She turned to Tai, then slowly nodded. "My home is across the park." she murmured, slowly walking in that direction.
Nadia held up two fingers. "For one, it's entirely your fault I'm stuck with you. And two, it could be a hell of a lot worse, but it ain't. So stop asking for things I'm not going to give."
Aly turned, watching him leave. "Strange...." she murmured, drying her hands, then picking up her notebook. She sighed, flipping through the old pages. She might need a new one soon.
Aly shrugged. "Nothing else to add. I guess there are some things I never let go of." she gave a brittle smile, then started doing dishes again.
Aly rolled backwards, tumbling into a bush, then got up, wincing as it pulled at her clothing. "'the hell, man?" she yelled. "It's not like you can take it on either!" then she spotted someone else, her eyes widening. Today was just full of surprises.
She rolled her eyes. "None I will share with you." she muttered.
Eva turned over, her face watching felix. What is he doin?
Aly watched him, more wary then ever, then shook her head. "I don't remember." she murmured. "I woke up on the edge of this town, knowing only my name and birthday. I have....." she quieted. He didn't need to know about the dreams. She didn't even really know him.
Aly whipped through the air, kicking where she thought the enemy was. Unfortunately she was wrong. She spun towards a tree, yanking her arm out and spinning around it at the last second. Pulling herself back, she winced at her bleeding hands, then launched toward the creature again.
Eva leaned back, her eyes almost closed, but not quite. She couldn't help him unless he asked. It was her curse and her gift.
She warily, watched him, then nodded, closing her notebook and cleaning the table. "People everywhere need business, I suppose." she murmured. "It's a hard time. All everyone can hope to do is survive until better ones come."
She smiled, looking over at him. "I used to dream too. It eventually goes away."
Eva sighed, then smiled. "Can't sleep?" she murmured, glancing at the prince.
