This made Daine smile even more. She looked at the water, perfectly content to remain quiet. Water creatures darted about her legs, tempting her to join them. They wanted to have fun, and she sighed. Easy for them to say.
Xion trembled with nervous energy, her blue eyes turning fever bright. "I don't know how it got here, but we have to-" she cringed, covering her ears. She coudl hear the screaming now. Aerith looked up at Xion, her green eyes worried, then back at Cloud. "Go down the street, and take a right." she directed. "You'll find her." She smiled, then gently patted his cheek. "I know you'll come back." she murmured, green sparks coming off her finger tips.
She shrugged. "Helps me. Then again, we are very different. We'll see how desparate you get." she murmured, rolling onto her stomach.
She shrugged. "To each, their own. Do as you like. I for one am not taking your free will away." Not like mine was. she sighed, keeping calm, then dipped her feet into the river. "Are you a God fearing man?"
She held her chest, her eyes wide. "Something...something's coming. Please....It wants..." all she could do was point at her chest. She could feel that whatever it was, it wanted hearts. Aerith's and Cloud's were strong enough, and there was someone else nearby. She smiled, her eyes opening. Aerith looked up at Cloud, then smiled gently. "Do you remember?" she asked, lightly pressing her palm to his cheek. "Do you remember the creatures that destroyed our world? So long ago? You thought you lost her."
She couldn't help but smile. "True. If your head hurts that bad, try lying flat on your back." she shrugged, feeling slightly self conscious. After all, she wasn't trained in this sort of thing.
She turned from Demyx and smiled at him, her blue eyes warm. "A little bit. Don't worry, it was enough." she didn't add the rest, about why she couldn't sleep. "You slept okay?" she asked, worried that she had kept him up in some way.
Xion smiled slightly, rubbing away her tears so he wouldn't see them. "But this human...it's like he..." she stopped, cold terror sweeping through her chest at the memories. The shadows moving, the deathlike eyes. If Axel hadn't held her, she would have been banging her head against the walls. Anything to make it all go away. As it was, she closed her eyes tightly, biting her lip till she tasted blood. She had to endure this, so he woudln't see how bad it was.
Xion stayed close to Demyx, drawn to calm Axel down, but...what could she do? She was just a girl, and not even a real one. Larxene...Larxene scared her. She could barely breathe when the other girl was around, she scared her so bad. But right now she felt as if she couldn't breathe, like her heart was snapping into splinters, only to stab at her lungs. What....."Demyx." she was breatheless. "Something's wrong."
She turned back, half surprised, then smiled. "Pleasure to meet you, Nox." she murmured, bending down and placing her fingers into the river. "Are you intent on following me home then?" she murmured, half to herself, as she stared into the river.
She looked up at him, tilting her head. "You're a blunt kind of guy, aren't you?" she asked finally, pushing her hair back from her face. "I don't know about that, since I just met you and all."
Xion smiled, then shook her head. "My stomach hurt. What is everyone arguing about?" she asked, taking his hand. "It's upsetting Aerith." she explained, looking out at the group. "She would never say anything, but I know it does."
She smiled, then put a finger to her lips, almost dreamily, and let her hand fall. It was like he was hiding....she spotted a flicker, and backtracked, but it was only Demyx. "I can't find him." she murmured.
Lots of love going round. Get better soon! People will be trying things.....
Kay. Thanks.
She tilted her head. "I am sorry if I offended you." she murmured, her eyes on his face. He was good at hiding his emotions, but not the greatest. She smiled slightly, giving him a play curtsey. "Please forgive me."
"Veralidaine." she murmured, setting off in the direction of her house. Mother was gone for a while, so she had the place to herself. Her heartbeat slowled as she walked along the river, smiling dreamily. Maybe she should shape change...it would be quicker getting home.
She smiled up at him. "Sounds like they have a good life." she murmured, closing her eyes. She saw Demyx as a pale watery spout and broadened her vision for a few feet, looking for the blaze of fire she knew so well.
She looked up. "You could what? You might as well finish the sentence." she murmured, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. He seemed to have the ability to make her smile, which was more then she coudl say for others.
Xion shuddered, holding to him tightly. "But if he..." she stopped. Axel could take care of himself. He had proven it before. He would be okay. She shook her head, then held tighter, letting a few tears fall. Never show any weakness. Never... she wouldn't break down here.
