She blushed. "I've never had a reason to.." she murmured, then blushed a little more. "I hate to sound...stupid..but...what's a date?" she asked, genuinely curious, but feeling stupid. It must be something special, he was blushing too. The only thing she knew about relationships was from watching her father's TV when he was asleep.
Daine sat back, thinking. "You live here alone? Have you ever had any family?" she asked, her eyes thoughtfully staring into the flames. There was so much they didnt' know about each other, and yet, he had rescued her. The wolves would inevitabley follow them, once they found the strength, so why would he risk all this?

She blushed. "I'm glad. It's good." Opening her eyes and looking up at him, she smiled a little, not a full one. She hadn't fully smiled for years but today it had happened enough to count on one hand. "I would live in the lake if I could. It's so pretty there, and everything is balanced. Peaceful, almost." she thought for a second. "I'll have to show you sometime."

Daine nodded, then moved quietly over to the fire place. She feared fire, as did most of her kind, but they had accepted it. Taking a breath, she pulled a box of matches off the counter next to it, and struck a few, getting a tiny blaze going.
