Angel didn't bother looking up as she stuck the whip in her belt loop, running her fingers over it. "That's what you get. Next time you'll end up with a knife in your back for not noticing." Satisfied, she looked up, studying him, then the others. Not enough to be a threat.
Because everything counts.
Angel ignored the scientist, pushing past him roughly to get to the table. She scanned the weapons...did she really want one? Her eyes caught on one in the corner, a long whip made of leather. That was....interesting. She gently ran her hands over it, picking it up, letting it unfurl. Maybe.....maybe not.
Eva took another step, then another, forcing herself. She had changed her ears back to human, but they still picked up those screams of triumph, of the insane. She stumbled, landing on her knees before the struggling maniac and Elevir. Those screams were like needles, making her head spin. She was going to lose, she knew it. She struggled, placing her hands on the ground, her shape shifting quickly again, making her bones creak. "Larz......you have to stop." she whispered, her voice changing patterns through the shifting animals whose shapes she took. "I know you're a good person in there...." scenes of what had happened to her sister flashed before her eyes, and she cringed away, finding her face awash in tears. "Elevir.....if he doesn't stop, you have to do this."
Gently nibbling her lower lip, now fed for the hour, Cally drifted along the road, a greyish ghost in her clothes and hair. She could barely be seen, and she didn't want to be seen. After what had happened....she shook her head, then started jogging lightly.
