What server you on for FFXIV?
I like keeping the Aurochs actually! They're awful at first but once you level them up some they're fantastic.

Mish lagging in this poll is unacceptable. You kids have no sense of history.
I think on a community like this it'll be fairly common to find stories of people getting catfished, though perhaps to a lesser extent. My personal experience is similar to Bueno and Coma's in a way, but here goes. I don't want to name names because I don't know how comfortable this person is with having the whole tale out there, but it's not exactly a secret either. A member here was fairly popular, had posted pictures of herself, and was pretty open about her real name. I got to know her quite well and we talked on a pretty regular basis. A few months (maybe a year? I'm genuinely not sure) after we'd gotten close, she came clean that she wasn't really who she claimed to be -- she had basically adopted the identity, photos, etc. of a real life friend of hers for online usage, because she was afraid of getting stalked. I admit it was a bit shocking at the time, since I had gotten used to who I thought she was, but it wasn't a huge difference really -- different name, different appearance, and slightly younger than I thought. Nothing earth shattering. After the initial shock wore off we pretty much just continued as we were, and we're still quite good friends. Something like that of course is far lesser than being actually catfished though, but in an online environment like forums or messenger, it's so easy to adopt a different identity and nobody will be any the wiser. At least, it was a few years ago. With everything being so interconnected these days (it's so easy to find someone all over the internet, on Facebook and Twitter and tumblr and Pinterest and everywhere), I would argue it's harder to catfish someone, though not impossible. You saw it a lot more in Myspace days I think. But basically if you just follow some of the suggestions Llave posted I really think you'll be alright. I've been talking to strangers on the internet for years and my only catfishing story is, as you've read, quite minor. It just comes down to being careful about what you share and making sure you put some effort into verifying someone's identity.
TY PLUMS FOR YOUR POST ON AVATAR. MODEL PODCAST COMMENTER EVERYONE One thing that I have to acknowledge about Adventure Time is that it really isn't for everyone. It's absolutely immature in humor sometimes (fart jokes aplenty) which some are just turned off by, others don't always get some of the themes in the episodes (and I've been in that camp before) and don't really feel it worth figuring them out. I do think that, if you do want to try it, you should try to stick it through at least the first season and a half because the first season is so different, but if you're not into it you're not into it. We don't go in any kind of order for the topic suggestions. If we can't think of anything amongst ourselves for the week, we dip into the suggestions and basically just choose whatever interests us, regardless of when it was suggested.
There's no switch for us to turn on previewing avatars, sadly. I can put in a suggestion on the XF support boards but minor things like this don't usually gain much traction.
I know of this place and holy **** she is right (my sister went to FIT)
I've been aware of the add-on but it never sat well with me to publicly log and display that information. Not only that but on a board as large as ours, that list could get long.
We don't really publicly speak about the reasons for a ban but it is only a temporary ban. Any more details should be directed privately to the staff or to the member in question.
I CAN'T BELIEVE U WAITED THIS LONG TO WATCH IT
Guest seats might be limited but listening and commenting is open to everyone... ;)
It's Tuesday and we're back...! After a break last week in the podcast, we're back to discuss Western Animation! Joined by @metanoia and @Plums, @Misty, @Llave, and @libregkd first nostalgia trip over some of the cartoons we enjoyed as children, then launch into a chat about what cartoons we're watching today. I spend a disproportionate amount of time expressing my Adventure Time obsession (especially where a certain ship is concerned), but we cover several other shows, including Steven Universe and The Legend of Korra. Finally, we discuss some of the differences between western animation and anime, and the place that Legend of Korra occupies between the two. We then answer questions from @Graxe and @. : tale_wind and finish off with some community news. Please listen, enjoy, and share your thoughts in the comments! Be sure to check out & participate in the Summer Mini Series! I bought that when I went in 2012 for mostly the same reasons... but it fell off my purse in the parking lot of my job and I never found it. :(
It wasn't the very first thing I bought but after a few months of working I purchased myself a PS3. Congrats on the job though!
