Hmm...we my current ipod is my third ipod XP I'm serious.My first one I was given to it defaulted,my second one the hardrive stopped working and so I'm on my third ipod lol Well it could be possible that your ipod's hardrive stopped working.That's what happened to my second ipod.The screen would turn white and it would make a beeping sound when I would connect it to something.
I think I know whats wrong with your ipod.Does the screen by any chance turn white or the ipod makes like a beeping sound when you connect it to charge or to update?
