"Riku, who is that guy? Why does he know your name?" Sora asked, a little worried. Riku stood up from tying logs together for the raft. "Someone who shouldn't be here. What do you want Dexeon?" Riku summoned his Keyblade. Sora sensed Riku's unease and took out his own Keyblade. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Garxena went to the lobby and sat next to Kai. She nudged her gently. "Kai. Kai wake up." "Hm?" Kai sat up straighter. "What is it?" "Did you know about Dexeon?" Garxena asked. "I know he's our brother and he's got a twisted mind." Kai didn't understand what Garxena was talking about. "Silax and I figured out that he's a Heartless." Garxena stated with some difficulty. "Oh jeez." Kai sighed. "Well, at least I know how to fight those. If he tries anything, you know I won't let him get away with it." Kai said reassuringly. OOC: AAH! too many characters! :0
"I can't believe I didn't see it before..." Garxena put her hand on her head. "This makes things much more difficult. Now I see why he's stronger than me." She sighed. "I wonder if Kai's got it figured out."
"I remember my brother... and yeah the next thing I knew... I was here... does that mean my brother is a-" Garxena stopped. "That can't be...." Kai walked into the lobby. "Hm, they're not here. Well that's okay." She sat on a couch and closed her eyes. Garxena's sure to wake me up when she comes.
"Yes, I'm a Nobody, so I don't really know how I was born.... hm that's something to think about when I'm bored..." Garxena looked up at the tall buildings. "Wow. They're huge." Kai stood up. "I guess I should head back. I didn't get enough information from Telren to figure out a strategy. Usually it only takes me one good look...." She headed back to where Garxena and her friends lived. I'll have to ask them the name of that place later.
Garxena shook her head. "It's fine... Let's go." "I'd like to see you try, brother." Kai turned on her heal and left. They'll see how scared I am. Kai walked across a field and sat atop a hill. Garxena can wait a little while. I need to devise a plan.
"Yes, I am a Somebody. But don't you dare assume that I'm afraid of the Darkness." Kai glared at Telren. "Garxena is far from a fool. She is brave and has endured much pain." Kai was indigent. "I've experimented with both Light and Dark, and they are powerful when combined. But alone, they are equal if put to the test in battle. I am not afraid of the Dark." Kai kept eye contact with Telren. "Alright." Garxena stood up. "Where do you want to go?" I'd love to go to Destiny Islands... but I couldn't bear to say good-bye to Riku again.
Garxena nodded. Alone again. Oh well, I'll wait for Kai to come back. "I don't take sides. Especially not the side of Darkness." Kai looked Telren up and down. "So you're the one my sister and her friends have been fighting?" She asked sceptically. "What exactly are you fighting over?"
Garxena smiled. "You sure go deep, Silax. But you're right." "Yeah right." Kai went over to Telren. "You're Telren right? I have a few questions for you." Kai spoke with no intimidation. This guy can't be as bad as anything I've faced before.
"Oh." Garxena fiddled with her locket. "Well, I think you'll like her. She's a curious person. I'm surprised she didn't get distracted while training. Kai's the type who'll stop right in the middle of something to ask a question. But she's also very determined. And from what I remember, she'll never give up. No matter what." Garxena smiled to herself. "I guess you could say I'm jealous of her." "Yes, I would." Kai agreed. "And don't think I won't protect myself if anything weird goes on. I didn't train forever for nothing." Kai shifted the weight of her Doublesword to her right shoulder.
"I'm not taking sides, Dexeon. I never have and I never will." Kai put her hands in her pockets. "But I am curious to know more. Who is this Telren, really?" "Well maybe the author thought differently than you do, Silax." Garxena picked up the book he'd tossed and placed it back on the shelf. "And some Darkness can be evil. But they shouldn't generalize and say all Darkness is evil." She sat back down. "What do you think of my sister?''
"I'm gonna explore this world. Be back soon." Kai gave Garxena a hug and then went outside. "Hm, kinda barren." Kai walked around and soon came to a large building. "Looks like the place where Garxena and her friends live. Couldn't hurt to go in." Kai opened the door and went inside. "Uh oh. Maybe this is that guy Telren's place. I should pobably leave..."
"So what's been going on before I got here? I want to get things straight." Kai sat in a chair. "So much! I think you'll like Xalan. She's got the power you've always wanted." Garxena winked. "She can read thoughts? Wow, I've got to meet her." Kai said, amazed.
"Um, nothing." Kai was sure that Kairi wasn't supposed to hear what Garxena had said. "So you are fighting Telren? He doesn't sound too hard." Garxena scoffed. "Oh he's hard. He's way hard."
Kai went through the portal, thinking about what Dexeon had said. "Back." Kai gave Garxena a small hug. "Miss me?" "Sure..." Garxena said sarcastically. "This is Nova, and Kairi. They're my other friends." Garxena whispered to Kai. "They like each other." Kai giggled. "Nice to meet you."
Garxena tried a smile. "I'm sure she'll be fine. She's a much better fighter than I am. I bet she can hold her own against our brother."
"Haven't you learned anything? There is no winning or losing. There is only won and lost, victory and defeat. Until then, there is only struggle." Kai showed only pride as she spoke those words.
Garxena sat in a chair and folded her arms. "I don't think she should've gone." "She told me that you, this Telren person, and a guy named Frostex are their enemies. And from what you said earlier, I trust that information to be accurate. She showed me that she has kept my locket all these years. And you have done nothing but abuse her." Kai gave Dexeon a steely look. "Have anything to add?"
Kai squeezed Garxena's shoulder as if to say 'I can take him.' Garxena nodded. Kai stood by Dexeon but didn't take his hand. From what I can tell, he's on the bad side. But I still don't know what's going on, so I can't jump to conclusions.
Garxena and Kai looked up at the same time. They nodded at each other and Garxena portaled them to the library. She glared at Dexeon. "What now?" Kai put her hand on the hilt of her Doublesword.
Garxena managed a smile. Yeifou's so nice. "What have you been doing this whole time?" Garxena asked Kai. "Oh lots of things." Kai took Garxena's hand and sat on a couch with her. "I trained myself to use a Doublesword, you'd not believe how hard that was." Kai smiled. "And then, I went looking for you and Dexeon. Along the way, I ended up helping the worlds that I visited. I didn't do it for fame or anything like that; they needed help, so I helped them." "Did you ever run into Sora?" Garxena thought it was a possibility. "The short one with the spiky hair?" Kai laughed. "Yeah, just once. I think it was in Agrabah. Hard to remember. We talked a little, but he couldn't help me. And he sounded busy himself." "Wonder what he was doing in Agrabah." Garxena shrugged. "You have to meet everyone else too. There's Jordxy, Xalan, Kairi, Xarden, Nova, Kade and her baby Kaden. We're a great bunch." She smiled. "First, I'll need a room." Kai playfully punched Garxena's shoulder. "Stay in my room. I have an idea of how to make a bed for you." Garxena led Kai up to her room. "Watch this." She mixed her Sand and Twilight energy to form a bunk above her own bed. "You can sleep on my bed and I'll take this one. It's sturdy enough." "You're grown up." Kai commented. "And you've got great control of your elements. I can't wait to fight beside you." Garxena smiled. "I'm not really the best." She admitted. "You'll get better." Kai reassured her.
