Megumi flew through a window and shook off the glass from her feathers. "Now, where is that scroll?" "Scroll?" Dai was confused. "That's what I said. Your ancestors were in the war. That particular scroll has instructions coded in it that can only be brought out by my magic." Megumi walked down a hallway, ignoring the alarm.
"I guess all we can do is search." Garxena shrugged. Kai walked away from Telren's base and wandered around. Have I been here before...?
Megumi rose to fly above the houses. "Relax, Dai-sama. This won't take long. I might not even have to hurt very many people." She smirked. "What are you doing?" Dai asked hatefully. "Taking back what's ours." Megumi flew to the museum.
Just before Dai reached her driveway, she heard the tolls of the clock tower signaling nine o'clock. Damn! She held her stomach as heat and pain rose within her. "My turn." Megumi laughed as she emerged, spreading her wings.
"I don't know where she went..." Garxena ran a hand through her hair. Kai looked around. Where am I? How did I get here?
Dai looked up at the clock tower. "I'm sorry, Becky-chan, but I've to get going." She stood and walked briskly to her house. It's almost nine...
Garxena sighed. "I don't know. But when she woke up she asked us who we were..."
