Dai leaned back in her chair. That was just about the stupidest school day ever. She stood up and left the school, walking slowly, not really paying attention to where she was going.
"How can I forget about it? It's not that simple!" Rukia wiped away her tears. She'd never talked about what had happened to her and she didn't expect to start crying when she did.
Rukia smiled a bit, glad that Sasuke had remembered her, but the smile quickly faded. "I always wanted to hang out with you... but then you got busy with training... so I made new friends... I was out with them... and when I came back... I heard... 'All Uchihas murdered'..." Rukia lowered her head so Sasuke wouldn't see her tears. "I couldn't listen anymore... I just... ran away... I didn't want to be the only one... After a couple of years of listening to whatever excuses I told myself... I began wondering if the Uchiha clan was real or just something I made up... My only proof was my Sharingan, but I wasn't able to use that until I was twelve... So I went around doing what it took to survive and finding out what I could about the Uchihas through listening to people talkiing." Her shoulders shook with sobs. "Then I finally came back here... to see where it happened... to see the home I'd forgotten..."
