Kairuto sighed. He shut the front door and went to the basement. He put his hand on the door, using a small bit of Rei's power to unlock it. Walking inside, he fumbled for the light switch. He left the door open and finally flipped the light switch on. The basement was filled with shelves of books and bottles. Kairuto picked up a large book and sat at a fair sized desk. He opened to a page in the middle that was marked with a ribbon. "You won't get much from that." Rei said. "At least it's something." Kairuto muttered. He flipped back a couple pages and started reading. "Don't fall asleep." Rei laughed. "I won't." But after an hour Kairuto fell asleep.
Kairuto opened the door to the Ayume house for Becky. "I've got one last thing I gotta do. You go ahead and get some sleep."
OOC: yup! ^^ BIC: Kairuto ruffled Becky's hair. "How 'bout we catch a movie after school?"
"I could take a break tomorrow if ya want. Maybe we could spend some time together." Kairuto suggested. "I feel bad." "Take out somewhere girls like to go." Rei said. "I don't know where girls like to go." Kairuto replied. "Shopping, movies, ice cream, or just a walk-and-talk." Rei provided. "I guess those would work. It depends if she wants to or not. I just don't want her to feel like I don't care about her anymore." Kairuto said.
"Hey, you sure you're alright? We haven't really talked since Rei and I merged..." Kairuto said.
Kairuto laughed nervously. "We were... uh.. out." He kept pace with Becky. "Rei told me not to tell anyone. I guess he thinks what we did is, like, top secret or somethin'."
"That sucks." Kairuto sighed. "Well, we should be getting home. Ya know, school and stuff tomorrow."
OOC: srry. i'll be on and off BIC: "So that girl was Dai?" Kairuto asked. "Doesn't seem like her and the White Wings have the relationship that Rei and I do. That's kinda sad..."
"Lowlife." Rei rolled his eyes. "Knowing my name won't do them any good. They need to know that it's Kairuto." "Hey, Rei, could we land in the park?" Kairuto asked. "Sure thing." Rei flapped his wings once to gain speed. He descended slowly and landed by the fountain in the park. "Alright, buddy, your turn." Rei let go of Becky and receded. Kairuto shook his hair. "Woo, that was cool. What'd you think of our entrance?" He smiled.
"Not a problem. Kairuto said he had a bad feeling. So we switched and he led me. Glad we got there in time." Rei smiled. "What did they want?"
"A simple Genjutsu can do that." Orochimaru made hand signs and muttered something that Satoshi couldn't hear. The jutsu took effect before Satoshi could protest. Her eyes glazed over. Dammit... I don't know how to break these!
"Yeah right." Satoshi folded her arms. Orochimaru sat in a large stone chair at the end of the hall. Snakes were around the chair, hissing as Kabuto and Satoshi approached. He smirked when he saw the look on Satoshi face. "You want to fight?" I can't.. Satoshi's eyes teared up. "No..." Orochimaru stood and went over to Satoshi. "You are a smart girl. Tell me, what do you desire more than anything else?" Satoshi didn't need to think about that. "To be with Gaara-sama." "That's all?" Orochimaru laughed. Satoshi nodded, and felt tears roll down her cheeks.
"And then kill me." Satoshi muttered. I won't use it. She put a hand on her stomach. I can beat him without it. And I know he won't kill me. I'm pretty sure he needs me alive.
Satoshi walked slowly down the stairs. There were torches on the walls held by metal snakes. Creepy...
"Did they hurt you?" Rei asked Becky. Hiwatari turned to face Dai. "Dai, tomorrow-" "Yeah, I know." Dai said. But it's not like I'm gonna do it. Megumi merged back with Dai in a shimmer of light. "You could've told me you were gonna do that." Dai complained. "If I did, you wouldn't have cooperated." Megumi pointed out. Dai sighed. "Duh."
Satoshi payed no attention to her leg as she followed Kabuto. Gaara-sama... I'm sorry... I hope you understand...
Satoshi rolled her eyes. "I don't care what you would do. Let's just go already."
"I can take care of myself. I don't need them worrying about me. I made a promise to do this on my own, and I don't break my promises." Satoshi said determinedly.
They don't understand. Satoshi stood, supporting herself on her good leg.
"I'll go." Satoshi said, putting a hand on her leg. She knew going with Kabuto would be the fastest way to Orochimaru. She didn't want to leave room for questions either.
