Veronica pushed Kaisune away as he helped her up. When she got to her feet, she stumbled backwards and took a step away as soon as she regained her balance. She stared at him for a couple seconds before turning to the side to dust herself off. She looked at him before turning away once more, seeing him drink something that was pretty obvious what it was. So much for being grateful. I’m not saving some random kid’s life again. She thought to herself, rolling her eyes. When she turned around to face him, she raised an eyebrow, hearing him begin to apologize. Veronica crossed her arms, staring at Kaisune. “Uh…†She unfolded her arms, raising one hand to scratch the back of her head. She looked away for a moment and opened her mouth to say something. But she closed it when she saw him begin to walk away. “Hey…†she said in a quiet tone. She figured it’d probably be best if he did leave. After all, what he was about to do was idiotic. Then again, she’s one to talk. She recently took her own life. “Wait a minute…†Veronica was sure she was dead, but how could someone be able to see her? Unless all of this was a dream. She lowered her head, knowing it wasn’t. If it was, that burning sensation she felt earlier wouldn’t have hurt so badly or possibly wouldn’t have hurt at all. She raised her head to stare up at the clear blue sky. Nothing made sense; why was she even back on Earth? “Is there something I have to do…?†she wondered, stuffing her hands in her pockets of her sweater. She looked around the area figuring she better look for something to do. Or maybe look for that kid. She turned around, seeing no sign of him. He left. Veronica sighed, beginning to walk in the direction she saw the boy leave. Might as well look for him. I doubt anyone else can see me. She took her hands out of her pockets, putting her hood on and putting her hands back in her pockets. If anyone were to be able to see her then there’d probably be someone that would recognize her. As she headed into a street, she got the idea that maybe she should make sure nobody can see her. She looked around and finally stopped a young woman on the phone. She stood at the corner of the street, waiting for the light to turn green so she could cross the street. Veronica stepped towards the woman, staring at her. “Excuse me.†she said but the woman didn’t turn. “Excuse me.†she said once more but the woman still didn’t turn. Veronica took a step back as the light finally turned green and the woman began to cross the street. I guess that kid is the only one that’s able to see me. She turned around and continued heading in the direction she saw Kaisune go to. “Ibetter find him then.†she muttered to herself, picking up her pace.
