"I can't argue with you, Dexeon." Garxena sighed. "And I know the memories hurt... all of them... But I'll deal with it. I don't want to forget."
Angel tightened her grip on her daggers. She recalled stories of a long time ago when the stars and constellations spoke to people. Surely this boy couldn't believe that those stories applied to the now. Let alone her. She shook her head. "What are you saying?"
Hannah squeezed her hands together and risked at glance at Edward. Seeing him struggling with the cloth brought a slight smile to her face. "Do you want me to help?" She asked carefully. John sighed. "It's you girl." He folded his arms and leaned against a tree. "Though it would be much more entertaining if it was the werewolf." Beatrice bit her lip, contemplating making a run for it. Jinx had said she was faster and stronger than any of their group, but did that apply to outside their group as well?
Angel had drawn her daggers, and stood in front of Sagittarius, but she didn't move more than that. "Would someone please explain what the heck is going on!?" She yelled, the confusion pushing her to her limits.
Angel stood her ground, not believing what she was seeing.
Angel fingered her daggers, but didn't move. "Yeah.. I did."
Shoot! I need those! Angel followed Aurora.
Angel grit her teeth and looked away from the display. "What about them?"
So he's headed there too? Angel mused. I'll just 'join' him shortly then. Looks like acting classes are about to pay off.
It's a wonder they hold so much information I need... Angel thought to herself, curling a strand of loose hair behind her ear.
Angel narrowed her eyes, paying more attention now to the conversation behind her than to the display.
Angel kept her attention on the display she was looking at. She wasn't interested in other's affairs.
"Yeah, that was it," Hannah sat up, lowered her eyes, and breathed through her mouth. Though werewolf blood didn't smell good in the least bit, the sight and idea of blood was making her lose focus. She doubted that going through a town full of people was a good idea at this point. "Give me a second...." She said quietly, her burning golden eyes locked on the floor. "He's younger than Edward," John began. "But he is an efficient hunter. You just might get yourself killed if you antagonize him." John's attention turned to a tree near them. "We've company." Beatrice covered her mouth and stiffened against the tree. For a brief moment, she wondered why she couldn't hear her heart racing, but she quickly shook the thought from her head and focused on staying still. She scolded herself for stopping to listen instead of doing what Hannah had told her to.
"Then come with me. I didn't say you couldn't." Hannah tried to smile. "You're going to willingly upset a werewolf?" John tried not to laugh.
That's a good idea. I've been mulling over the cover forever! My first idea was that it was connected to Edward and Alice's chess games. Then I thought that it was symbolism for the whole series; it is all like a chess game if you think about it.
"No," John replied. "I'd like to see what Edward will do when they meet up." "I don't like the idea of her out there alone when that hunter is still...." Hannah faded off. "I should go find her."
It's a cliffhanger that will never be continued! TT-TT At least Midnight Sun will becoming out in a year or two. ^^
Garxena cringed at the words. "You're right. I know I shouldn't feel this way. But I do. And I can't change that."
"But," Garxena protested weakly. "He was my first friend... and I feel like such a bad person for making him feel that way...."
I saw "the end" and I just started at it thinking "What...? No, it can't be over now! I want more Edward! DX"
