She lightened the pain up a little so they could answer. Amber knew steeping aside would damge her ship greater than it would if she stayed. She held both arms up, crossing them, and then used her power of shaping to fuse the weapons together into a shield.

Once the King was killed Surren shut herself in emotionally, though, she never was the open one. When it didn't call for it she wouldn't bother being nice. She would only show emotions when she was playing with people to get her way, which she never was caught at. They were cruel in her opinion and they deserved to in as much pain as her. No, they deserved to be in more pain than her. She hugged herself, grabbing her shirt tightly and looked towards them, hoping her powers would work on them. "You're straching up my ship!" She shot twice more at him, and got ready to get out of the way if he continued and attacked her.

Since Vanessa is reading minds which would make their mind connect somewhat, wouldn't that make her more venurable to Yuki's power?
