Well last time I checked (And I could be wrong about this) most IP addresses are assigned temporarily, but a digital record is kept on who had what IP address at what time. Also, I'm fairly sure that IP addresses and MAC addresses go hand in hand, so wouldn't they end up with the ID number of the network card that is being used?

Honestly, at first, I thought it was some cheap rip of Minecraft, but then I bought it, and it's been bloody brilliant. It has an inbuilt multiplayer feature, instead of having to download a separate server program, like Minecraft does.
Why should post count matter if you enjoy doing what you do? (inb4 it's been said before say something new) If posts have not counted in the RP section before, why should that change now? Has anyone had a life changing experience because they don't get posts from the RP section? I very highly doubt it.

The root of the problem is ACTUALLY Role Players being sadface about other people saying no to them having post counts.
And I don't think that the people voting no are getting the respect they deserve, by being told to say something new or shut up.
This isn't me providing reasons. This is me asking what RPing brings to the site that another section doesn't.
And what does RPing add to the site? Somewhere to relax? Spam Zone/Usual Spot both do that too. Somewhere to meet new people? Forum Families (Oh wait, it's inactive. Oh well.) Somewhere to be creative? CREATIVITY ****ING CORNER! The RP "Arena" is basically a mish-mashed cluster**** of those three sections. Why should you get more posts because you prefer to type parts of a story instead of writing your own? Rules & News: Dunno why, but posts count here. Kinda seems stupid. Kingdom Hearts: That's the reason we're all here, no? So obviously posts would count there. Gaming: Again, dunno why posts count there. Maybe it's just because posts get deleted if they aren't on topic to gaming. Interests: Posts count in the majority of the section, but not all of it. Seems fair. Fun and Games: Posts do not count at all, which is, again, fair. Off Topic: Suggestions doesn't count, but the other two sub sections do, I assume because it involves helping other members and it provides somewhere to go to get help or advice on tech issues. And no. I don't post here. A lot of people don't. But I think it's pretty rude to say that because I don't post here that I don't have a voice. This is open to all members, not just the RP'ers. Welcome to equality.

I'm against this. Take the Code Vault example. "Code vault posts count, but it's a hobby." It's also in the site description: "A site dedicated to hacking the games and producing videos with the results. Also provides cutscene downloads and analyses." because that is what this site is for. Coding is part of the reason that people come to the site. It is essentially one of the sites major arteries, where the other is the media side. (bit of Human Bio there) Besides, if no one has complained about this yet (And complained fairly) then why now? Following the logic of "It only affects RP'ers so we'll post it in the RP section" is total crap. You want a fair poll, you ask the whole site. Don't direct them to this thread either, because there are probably more RP'ers that will see this than anyone else. It's like going into a town and saying "The Government wants to destroy this town and kill everyone in it. What do you guys think?" Logically, everyone is going to side with themselves. Segregating the RP section with a srs RP and a loljks RP section is like saying that once everyone was equal, but now those that aren't as good are now lower class. Mod wise, as it has been stated, people can just type more than usual for a post to count here and there. Personally, I don't think that there is any reason as to why posts should count, but maybe it's just cause I don't Role Play.
