Ahh, I must agree. It's always more fun when something is left open for the watchers/gamers to use their imagination to fill their blanks. I think that draws more fans than having every detail explained.
Hello~ Extra the greeting o:
Hello there. Going to try to avoid a gentric greeting, but you know, rules and all. Since you are on another site you shouldn't have to be told to read them and might of already have, but tons of people will say the same thing. >.>" Anyways~ Welcome to the site. I hope you enjoy it here. KHV offers many different sections so there is something for everyone here.
Been wanting to write something for my characters but only just got around to doing it XD If anyone is interested here's Beyond's thing. It's... yeah. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6599911/1/Beyond_Black_Character_Introduction
Tsubaki couldn't wait for a reply, the enemies didn't seem in the least bit friendly and even worse they were on either side now. She transformed into her kusarigama form and landed in Black Star's hands. "I shouldn't have to tell you this, but please be careful. I got a bad feeling about this group. Tsubaki's visage on the blade said. "We should stand back and just watch as things unfold..." Terra suggested in a quiet voice. This seemed like a gaint explosion waiting to happen. Beyond smelled the souls of others arriving on the scene and looked over to them with a curious expression. His smile returned to see even more of the students coming towards them. And childern as well. "Young blood... It must be so tastey... I want some of it... I want all of it." He corrected himself with a twisted smile and licked his lips.
Link to the OOC thread and profiles reaper When we died, we became someone else. We see how we were when we lived in the mirror, but no one but ones like us can see that visage. Everyone else sees a guise, one that ages and, when typical human should die, changes into a younger appearance. Our guise may change sooner, if our existence is close to being discovered. Someone else, unknown to us, takes care to the details and fakes our death with an illusion. Some of us miss being alive, but there is no going back. We aren't even allowed to tell our families who we are, if they are still around that is. how it works Our job, as you can probably guess, is to guide the souls of the dead on to the next plane. In each city there is a group of us, size varying depending on the odds of one of us being born. We were good people when alive so most believe that, that is the reason why we become reapers. I am not so sure about this. In each group there is a leader. This leader is simply the oldest of us. We don't know who, but someone delivers him or her the names of people who will die each day. Each day he or she assigns us a few names each. In the assignment is a name, time of death, and location. It is our job to find each person and stick with them until...the time comes. While they are still alive we must touch them, this is the touch of death. They soon are killed by death spirits, something only we can see. We do not know anything about them expect they take on many forms and cause our marks to die once we have marked them. Then the spirit is separated from the body. Now we are the only one who can see each other and we explain the situation as much or as little as needed. Then the light appears. Typically it is just a light near by, but sometimes it is something else. Like when once a child died, it was an amusement park so the child would eagerly go to it. We are forbidden to enter this light, and we know very little about it. Perhaps it is Heaven, if you believe in such a place. No matter how much we hate it, or are indifferent to it, this is our life, and, as far as I know, there is no way out of it. an opposing force Now, I wouldn't call them bad people, they are doing what they think is right, but they do make our jobs a lot harder. They don't really call themselves anything, and my boss doesn't either. So, since I have to name everything, I'll call them The Saviours. Apparently they can see into the near future, the next 24 hours to be more precise, and their visions normally entails someone dying. They believe they see these vision because it is their job to stop the death of whoever they see. Our boss says we must deliever the touch of death and keep the natural order of things running. I suppose we got the upper hand since they see the people dying, but who can be sure? The future is always changing, even by the smallest of things. "All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves. We must die to one life before we can enter another." -Anatole France locations and the date The town in which we live isn't a very large one. There's only one high school, one middle school, and one elementary school, all of which are located a little ways east of the Town Center. Buses provided for those who live far away. In the Town Center are the political buildings and the public library. To the North is mainly buildings such as the power companies, etc. Past the medows is a mountain surrounded by a forest. The townspeople often camp and hike there. To the East are apartments which can be described as rundown. To the west is a cluster of houses and stores. Just past them is the ocean. And to the South are hotels, restaurants, and places of the like. Current Date: December 20th, 2010 rules 1. No godmodding. Don't have your character pop out of nowhere to save someone. This is close to a real-life rp. 2. No powerplaying. (Ask other people for permission if you feel like you have to powerplay at some parts) 3. No autokill. If you create a person just to have them killed, or if you wish for them to be saved, you must make that clear. 4. Nothing above PG-13. That includes romance and violence 5. Use proper grammar. Periods and commas, complete sentences, etc. 7. Make at least 3-7 sentences for each post. If you get Writer's Block, that's okay. Just don't make it a habit. The last death of the day. He wasn't anything special... But it didn't seem fair. He did bad in his past but he was starting to get a new life, only to have his old life get in the way and end it all. But then again, no deaths were fair, really. Her's wasn't. Her afterlife didn't seem all that fair either. She got to watch others move on into the light while she was stuck here as a reaper. She also got to watch her family move on and return to a normal life. It felt like they had forgotten all about her. Whether this was true or not, it bothered her. Either way, she was here, waiting for the other reapers and the leader to come. Their meeting place was a small coffee shop in the west side of the city. It was a nice little shop and never really crowded. It was peaceful here and the smell of coffee woke her up from her grogginess and she sat at their usual booth with her head tilted back and eyes closed. Her life might not be fair, but it was a lot more peaceful than her pervious life, even with all of the death around her.
"Merlie!" Tsubaki looked over to Kirby breifly then back at Merlie. "If you care for Kirby then get him out of here. With him being out cold.... He needs help. We can take care of this." She started speaking with a serious expression but ended her setence with a reassuring smile. They were more expirenced than Merlie, who was now without a partner, so it was best for them to take care of this. Beyond laughed while watching Colt rage. Emotions were so fun to watch, especially these kinds. He was slightly off to the side now, circling around the group of DWMA students until he was behind them. "Fighting that kid seems no fun... Let me kill the blue haired one..." Beyond spoke while chuckling. This is going to be so much fun~
Beyond frowned at the thought of leaving them to live. That was just no fun. "But killing is never a waste of engery. Plus..." He inhaled deeply and exhaled with a wide smile. "Their souls smell so good." Tsubaki frowned upon seeing how intent the boy was on fighting while the others seemed willing to move on. They needed to get Kirby out of there for some help as soon as possible and this group... Something was off about all of them. They had to be the ones they were warned about. "We need to get Kirby out of here..." She whispered to Black Star.
Elizabeth nodded happily. It was nice to see Madison so happy for a change and for it not to look fake in the slightest. "Yes. We can play games and such; whatever you want to do." She spoke with a wide grin and ended her setence with a slight chuckle. Today should be a fun day.
I think Evee has evolution figured out the most.
ooc - no need to apolgize people, I understand. Good to see you two :3 "Did you know, thanks to an Ink member's magic, we never really enter or leave the same shop each time we come down here? Otherwise, our base would of been found a long time ago..." She spoke softly so only Vincent could hear her as she noticed that some people were still around. "And there's a scout with this person who's so good, they can track our every movemont so, if needed, we can go through any door and end back up at base, even if the door isn't attached to anything." Olive's ramblings was to distract herself from any emotion she felt as she made her way to the shop which they came from. "Thank you." Shiira said to Mya as she returned to the group. She made a gesture and the crowd scattered to return to what they were supposed to be doing. About two remained in the end to make sure that these three didn't do anything to harm Shiira. "Hardly." Shiira answered Grey with a laugh. "Everyone who comes here wants to kill us. You're fine since I arrived with you though." She turned around and examined the town. "Everything seems fine here, so we can leave as soon as possible, or would you want to rest here for a bit and gather some supplies?"
Helena laughed softly at Willow's remarks. She was fine going solo, but this kid seemed immature with how things worked in the world. Their enemies were probably trained to work together, so they would have little chance if they couldn't even see eye to eye. "Self defense should be allowed, but it'd be best to flee so they will not learn of your powers before we are to go on the offensive." Helena stated quietly, looking off to the side. Her eyes then looked over to the mentor and she nodded. "Understood. I will not let you down." Our focus is always on Penny... Penny needs our love, but that is no excuse for neglect... "I am fine dear sister." Elizabeth spoke with a kind smile as she looked down on her younger sister. "Aha!" Elizabeth blurted out, stopping with a wide smile. "How would you like for today to be one where we can hang out the whole day?"
Hey, was just wondering if you had any ideas for Olive and Vincent in my rp, as the other sides may be busy and I don't want them to be left out.
You shouldn't. I think she feels guilt and wants to be hated for it, but there really is no reason to. That can't be true. He broke your heart so if you didn't care for him then it wouldn't of hurt at all. The best thing for you to do is to move on and in no way does it mean you didn't care for him.
A bamboo art tablet sounds amazing.
ooc - short posts are fine. I think I'll wait for Terra before posting as Shiira though. I hope everyone is having/had a wonderful Christmas/Holiday <3 Olive's fist clentched and unclentched several times until Alex was gone. She watched the flames, their reflection burning in her eyes. "Dismiss." The letters around her faded until they were gone and she turned to face Vincent with a smile. "Let's go back now." She walked past him, knowing he'd follow, and hurried to get out of there.
Olive followed Vincent and soon Alex came into view. Only that Jason was nowhere to be seen. "Did you lose him?" She asked. Or more like she intended to ask. The moment she started to speak was the same moment an explosion went off in the background. She rushed passed Alex and looked over in the direction where it came from, seeing that there was nothing to be done to stop it. "Was... Was he in there?"
ooc - giving Jason time to do through this before posting as Olive >w< Jason couldn't find a way out of the building and ducked into a hiding spot when Alex entered the room. There was only one door... And the hiding did little to help as the gas quickly filled the room and his lungs. He clumsily stumbled over the boxes as he desperately looked for a way out or even a window. Soon his head began to spin and he ended up tripping, landing heavily on the ground. ooc - blah, my post feel bad in comparison but I dun have much to say >w<"
Elizabeth looked down at Madison with a soft smile and continued to walk a little before stopping at the end of the hall. "Hello, Madison. How are you today?" Perhaps my thoughts are selfish... She seems to be lonely. Elizabeth thought sadly, thinking about how she could help brighten up her younger sister's day.
Olive was already climbing over the rubble when Vincent came back to her, yet she still heard the woman's words. She simply sighed and jumped down from a larger piece of the building to a smaller one before landing on the ground on the opposite end of the alley. She then looked around to see that the street has emptied out. "Where did they go from here?" Jason finally caught his breath and managed to clean off most of the blood from his skin. He took a deep breath and stood back up. He really wanted to get some payback, but it would seem he was no match for these guys. Damn it... If only I was a Speith already! He thought as he moved as carefuly through the maze of boxes as he could, hearing Alex's voice through the walls. Shiira stopped suddenly and spun on her heel when he asked her yet another question. She held up her index finger and waved it around slightly. "I'd rather be eaten alive by the monsters than join Sin; most of the people in the settlement feel the same." Her middle finger went up as well now. "And secondly, most of them hate The City as well. If they don't, then they already left." Her arm fell at her side and she shrugged with a small laugh. "Besides, believe it or not, we like it here. Danger's fun!" She said with a wide smile and turned back around. She said in silence until the reached the town. It was like an old western get-up, only with a watch tower on all four sides. And whoever was at the one closest to them must of annocenced Shiira's return as there was a group of people waiting to greet her when she got there. After a breif conversation off to the side she noticed that some were looking at the forest people with warily eyes as they must of noticed Azure's bear claws and their other weird traits. "They're from the forest." Some of the younger people seemed to become more curious while others got more wary.
