Ok, In most Play station games, the selecting button is X, the bottom one of the four. On the DS, however, the select button is usually A, the right button of the four. The buttons on the playstation control and the DS control have the same design, so does anyone else find it wierd that we dont use the bottom button for the DS or the right button for the Playstation?

This is probably chapters 1 to about 1 and a half of my new story: I’m Rhiannon, an average girl at my school. It’s a pretty small school, somewhere where everyone knows you somehow. It’s also really fun because it’s a private school and we get extra days off. Our school is also very big on its opinions. If you do something really cool like do drugs, you get into ‘The Group’. If you do something really nerdy, it ruins your reputation forever! I have to say I’m fairly hot. I have long, dark brown hair with a slight side fringe, hazel eyes and tan skin. Somehow I get most of the guys, even though I’m not in ‘The Group.’ A lot of them seem to like me because I’m quiet, shy, smart and not a complete show-off like the rest of the girls. Though I seem really cool, I’m not because I’m actually obsessed with video games. That lowers your reputation to about…zero. It all started with the holidays before school starts again. I had this really weird feeling that I would have a falling out with my friends, be in ‘The Group’, and somehow this weird guy from school was going to be a big part of my life. So in the 5th week of term 1, I was invited to a real, 15 year old party, Cathy and Cassie’s 15th birthday. Either they were going to completely humiliate me or accept me, but I doubt it. The theme was ‘Zest’. We had to wear black, white and another colour and we had to look hot or else we were thrown out. I wore a dancing costume from ages ago. It was a black vinyl crop top with a red cheerleader skirt and a white tie. I wore this costume 5 years ago and I’ve lost a lot of weight since so I looked smoking! At the party, everyone looked hot. We looked like we were in a strip club or something! Anyway, I went inside for some water and Cassie, the evil twin, goes “here, have some…um…coke instead.†I took a sip and it didn’t taste like coke, it tasted more like vodka or some alcohol or something, but it was nice. I only had half though because I didn’t want to be drunk. So I danced the night away and went home. The next day at school, Cathy asks me “We want you to be in our group, you know, The Group. It’s so fun we get to do whatever we want! We always act like class angels so the teachers always believe us! Don’t sit with those losers, come with us!†I said okay, and sat with them. My friends Bianca, Beck and Bree walked past and looked at me, absolutely stunned. Bianca was shaking her head in shame, Beck muttered “Should’ve seen it coming.†And Bree nearly punched Cathy. Bianca and Beck held her back and she stopped but she also shook her head in shame. That night, I was on you tube, looking at funny kingdom hearts videos when in the credits, it said, “thanks to videogaming.com.†so I figured I should go on the site. The next day at school, I didn’t do my homework, so I went to the library and finished it. I finished It 5 minutes into recess and the computers were free. So I went on the site. This really weird guy, Dennis, walks in with his friend Dean and they sit down and do their homework. After they finished, Dean walked out but Dennis went over to me and looked over my shoulder. Dennis, the weird guy, is really well spoken. He looks a bit like me actually and he’s kinda cute. Everyone calls him weird because he seems really involved with lessons and stuff. He’s a nerd, but cool. He saw me on the site and walked out. I was thinking “what a ******,†but then again, he’s really wise in video games. Wonder if I should talk to him and see what he knows. This sounds really weird but I thought we were going to play soccer and Dennis was going to be there, that didn’t make sense because Dennis was on the soccer team and I was in Extra PE (for the people who didn’t want to be in sport teams, also lowering my reputation). I go down to Extra PE and I see Dennis there. The coach tells us we’re going to play soccer. Ok, that was weird. I asked Dennis why he wasn’t in soccer and he said he didn’t want to do it anymore, which is fair enough. Next period, Science I think it was, I sat between Cathy and Cassie. Beck gave me a weak death stare. I was listening to the teacher and out of the corner of my eye I could see Dennis looking at me all the time, so I ignored but I cant help but think he’s talking about me. Every lunchtime I do the same thing and usually talk to Dennis about whatever. I think I’ve become friends with this guy but I have to keep up my popularity with Cassie and the rest. What do I do? NB: This is about 0.5% what happened at school 2 years ago mixed with what happedned 5 years ago. Its partially a true story!

See if you guys like it: Shatter Thursday, 12th August, 2004 Dear Diary, Today was the worst day of my entire life. It all started with the accident. There were two cars in front of school, Carmen’s and Samantha’s. There was smoke everywhere and fire that burned endlessly. Everyone ran up to Carmen’s Car because they knew who she was but I sprinted to Samantha’s car because she was my sister. My heart thudded when I saw Samantha’s burns. I haven’t written to you in a while, so you probably forgot who I am. That can be fixed. My name is Kayla Stevenson. I’m 15 years old. I’m fairly tall, brown hair and blue eyes. My sister Samantha is 18 years old. She is tall and has brown hair and green eyes. Carmen has no relation to me whatsoever. She has short, curly, crimson hair and hazel eyes. She’s about my height but for a 22 year old that’s not good. Carmen or should I say Miss Carmen Jackson is my teacher, best friend and she feels like my sister when Samantha isn’t around. Back to the accident, Samantha and Carmen were taken to hospital. Just then, principal Wyde came down from the main office. We told him about the accident and he said until he gets better, all lessons taught by her are cancelled. That was good for me because most of my lessons are with Miss Jackson. Woo hoo! Friday, 13th August, 2004 Dear Diary, No wonder they call Friday the 13th a bad day, today was worse than yesterday! I took the day off school, which was fine. Then I went to the hospital to visit Samantha. She was telling me about the crash and out of the blue, her head just plopped on her pillow. The monitor that measured her heart rate had gone from beeps every 5 seconds to a single, long tone. Samantha was dead. And all I could do was watch. As I left I passed Carmen’s bed. She was holding out a bracelet I gave her a long time ago. “Take it. She will remember you.†She quietly said. “Um, thanks.†I replied. Tuesday, 17th August 2004 Dear Diary, On Saturday I was depressed and shattered. I was freezing to death and wearing 3 jumpers and lying in my bed. I turned my stereo to two songs-My Immortal by Evanescence and Welcome to my Life by Simple Plan. I went into Samantha’s room. All her clothes fit me, but I didn’t want to put them on. I was frantic. On Sunday I went to a counsellor and told her about the accident. She told me what my problem was, but I didn’t listen. I was trying to figure out who’s fault it was. On Monday I tried to sleep and I woke up every 5 hours or so, but I did manage to sleep a lot. Today I didn’t go to school. The trauma of it all just gave me a headache, and I ended up really sick. Thursday, 19th August 2004 Dear Diary, I went back to school, wearing the bracelet Miss Carmen gave to me. She was back with a broken arm and bandages everywhere. My friends were trying to comfort me, I said it helped but I still died on the inside. Tina told me Miss Carmen came back. Al, day I looked for her to see how bad she looked. Lydia, the ***** of the school, said to me, “this whole thing is your fault! If your sister wasn’t uncoordinated in her driving skills, none of this would’ve happened!†I punched her in the face. I got a detention for it, but at least no one else will be bringing up Samantha again. I spotted Miss Carmen but I didn’t want to look. Seeing her everlasting smile change when she noticed me made me feel really guilty about all this. The same thing happened on Friday. Like I’ve said in the past, shattered. Saturday, 21st August 2004 Dear Diary, My friends Bianca, Tiana, Renae and I have a band called Faid 2 Blak. We wrote a song about how our lives would be different if one in 6 billion ended. After practise, I went home and packed my backpack. I couldn’t take it anymore! The fake smiles, stupid lies, I didn’t want to do this anymore! I climbed out of my bedroom window, disappeared into the night and never returned. Finally! FREEDOM! No more worries, just starting a new life. I stopped to sit on a bench at a park. Carmen ironically sat next to me. So much for a new life. “I quit my job. Couldn’t take seeing someone being torn up so much.†“Same. You look nice.†“I straightened my hair before I found out it was raining. Now its frizzy as hell.†“What are you doing here anyway?†“Same thing you are, running away. Why don’t we run away together? Block out Sammy for a sec and imagine†Carmen persuaded. “Better to forget about the past, right?†“I guess so. All right. Lets go.†Sunday, 22nd August 2004 Dear Diary, For some reason, I woke up on the other side of the park with Carmen next to me. I don’t know what happened, or how I got here, but I’m enjoying it. Carmen brought up Samantha. I recognised the name but it was like I completely forgot about her. This, Dairy, is a new beginning.

Here in Australia, our Mother's day isn't till 11th of May. At my old school, we used to have stalls and stuff where you can buy your Presents at school. That was mad. I'm actually stumped. I hav no idea what the hell I'm getting my mum.

Oops. sorry about that. Anyway, here's chapter 2: Chapter 2-The Search For Ruby “According to this ancient thing, we have to find the others in order.†Jasper explained as he read the book. “Ok then, who do we start with?†Amethyst asked. “Oh my God, we start with, um, Ruby Pennadale.†Jasper said “The Ruby Pennadale? The one who has a palace on her own island, the princess a whole country was named after? There is no way we are going to Pennadale Palace and convincing Ruby to come with us! No way!†“Well, if you wanna destroy the Stone Collector forever, you have to get all the stones at the same place and time. We need Ruby to come with us.†“Fine.†So they sailed to Pennadale Palace in search for Ruby. It took three days and nights but they eventually got there. Amethyst and Jasper, using their awesome fighting skill, passed through all of the guards until finally reaching the end of the labyrinth, Ruby. Ruby was blonde with a single red streak in her hair. As she was in the northern hemisphere, she wore a red, one sleeved top with a thick, black cardigan on top. In the northern hemisphere, it was Autumn and it was starting to get really cold. Her necklace was a red choker with rubies dangling from it. She looked like a princess but she still looked a bit like Amethyst too. “Uh, we’re looking for a…Ruby Pennadale?†Jasper asked. “Well, who do you think you’re looking at?†Ruby asked. “Um, please excuse my friend, Jasper, your majesty. But according to our book, you are one of the five stones who are destined to defeat the Stone Collector.†Amethyst told Ruby “That mongrel destroyed my country, my people and my parents…†Ruby replied. “I will not rest until that monster is slain before me!†“Great! Come with us! With your great ability, we can destroy the Stone Collector forever and save the rest of your country!†“Then I will go. But if that is our vessel, we might as well just take my arc.†Ruby’s arc was huge! It looked like it could fit over 100 people in it and on the back, with protected rubies, it had ‘The Stone’. Being the very stylish arc that it is, Amethyst and Ruby destroyed the old boat and set off for the next stone.
Wow! first compliment I have ever gotten! Okay, here's chapter 1: ~1~ In the city of Zerphyr, a tornado made by the stolen powers of the Stone collector had occurred. There were only two survivors-Amethyst and her best friend, Jasper. They had found an underground hideout which no one knew of that somehow protected them from the disaster. Now they live in an underground, abandoned city where they sit around, talk and practise their fighting skills. Amethyst was punching an old, torn bag to fight away her anger. Jasper was looking at all of these books that had fallen into the abandoned world. “Amethyst, look at this!†He shouted. He had just found a book that looked ancient. It had some information about the legend of the stone collector and his destructive powers. When Amethyst had a look at it, she saw the pictures of the necklaces the chosen girls wear and that one of them looked exactly like hers. She also read that there are four other girls and in 1450, their names would be: Amethyst Aquamarine Amber Ruby And Pearl Their locations are scattered all over the world. So Jasper, being the nerd that he is, built a boat big enough to sail the world and hold at least 10 people. “You’re one of the legendary stones! You will defeat the Stone Collector and end his catastrophic disasters! You and the other four stones will save the world once and for all!†Jasper was obviously very interested in legends and stuff. Amethyst agreed to go on this adventure. And so the journey begins…

Here we go: Prologue The Stone Collector The world is in peril. Thousands of devastating disasters had occurred since the returning of the stone collector. Legend has it; five girls are chosen and born all over the world. The Stone collector wants these girls, takes them for their power and becomes more powerful so he can destroy the world again. The same cycle every 50 years. As there are 5 girls chosen, there is also a new Stone Collector chosen after 50 years. Enough of this rambling on, the five girls chosen now were Amethyst, Amber, Ruby, Aqua (short for Aquamarine), and Pearl. The five girls (or stones, whatever you want to call them) have the power to stop the Stone Collector. But they have to be altogether at the same place and time. Sounds like a bad idea? post your thoughts!

Fave foods Ok, looking at the Anything Else section, there are a lot of threads that say "whats your favourite flavour of chip?" or "What's your favourite food?" I think it could be possible to make a sub-topic in Anything else (like how Creativity Corner has Original Work) for fave foods and all topics about favourite stuff. Please delete this thread if you don't think its a good suggestion because I don't want to take up any space or anything for a stupid thrad!
