Vanessa looked up when Holden did and saw the message in blood. The purge... It was something quite infamous. And something she wasn't looking forward too. But was this for real, when one had happened just the year before? It would be wise to leave the school until it is over... But where could I go...? She sighed a defeated sigh and headed towards her locker to remove whatever she had in there still. Obviously classes would be the last thing anyone had on their mind and she wasn't about to leave behind any of her belongings. Maybe she could skip... But to be deemed a coward? And besides, finding herself alone at any given moment... Even now, when a kill had just been made, was a dangerous time. Thinking this made her return to the others, hoping not to be a target. They will probably go for the lower ranks and weaker ones first...right? If so... Hopefully by the time they reach me they'd be done. But just in case... I will be ready. While at her locker she removed a pen from her messenger bag. It wasn't a knife but she could still stab someone with it. Maybe even in the eye. That alone allowed her enough time to fight back. I won't be caught defenseless ever again. Ever.
