I'm the same way. Can hear throughout the house from my room which is on other end from where everything normally is. (Granted our house is not that big.) It can suck hearing everything at times, but, in my opinion, it isn't really a problem. When there is a conversation you do not wish to hear zoning out by reading a book, listening to music, or simply day dream always works. Otherwise it can be really useful. Like using picked up things for blackmail (which...is bad, so shouldn't do that. Just a random example.) or picking up topics to use in your own conversation.
Got a few now. Been going back and forth, but being a lazy reader for the time being. The Looking Glass Wars and Seeing Redd by Frank Beddor Nightshade by Andrea Cremer Hunger by Michael Grant And some manga on the side.
Those mayhem commercials are my favorite. :'D

Spoiler I love how happy he looked after the girl called him a good person. Hm, possibly why he helps out everyone, to get praise like that. Oh, maybe he was also hoping to find somewhere where you could be normal not to have a dream, again possibly to some pressure back at home. And my guess is he didn't have a nice life back at home since he used the excuse that their school had dorms so he could get away from home. Could just be a lot of pressure though, considering he was in a prep school. Not much of a spoiler, but decided to hide it anyway. Either way, pretty funny and I would like to know what is with the spoon. And though I normally don't like reading things without a touch of something supernatural this was nice and I just might continue along with it.

Vanessa looked over towards the one who was laughing with a look of distain. It was people like that, who got thrilled at the sight of blood, who she almost hated the most. I bet he'd wouldn't care for killing parents in front of their daughter, either. She wished to leave the area before she did anything rash, but to be alone at a time like this, unarmed... It was stupidity. Besides, she was curious as to what the teachers had to say so instead she returned to her classroom, sitting down in the chair closest to the door with the strap to her messenger bag still on her shoulder.
I think KH1 was harder. Fighting him in Kingdom Hearts II was very simple, in my opinion. Defeated him on the first try. (Though I probably got really lucky.)
