Sorry if the rp is moving too fast for you or anything, hopefully that'd change. If you're still interested that is? Just thought I should check in.
aforgottensoul is my skype thing
Well now there's four so that's even better. And yeah a smaller team means they will most likely learn to get along better and form a better bond than those who are in a big group would since they would need each other to live. But that also means it would probably be harder for them to get through certain places, though that could mean fun. Since we're waiting for the weekend to start we could at least discuss any ideas you all have for this rp as well as hopes and stuff. So that way we'll at least have a nice start.
I'm interested in this. I'll work on my character after I get some sleep.
[ooc; sorry for ditching that group just went to the current solo person. you all can time skip to the woods or dungeon in your next post if you want just talk in the ooc thread if you want or whatever works for you and we'll see if the entire group meets up or something.] After the sell had been made Meerna decided it was best to casually slip away, having no real interest in direct contact with people. Sure she wished to know more about them, but they were going out of her comfort zone and were too hyped up for her to deal with. So she did what she always did when faced with people too much for her; disappear. Going outside was a relief as she was soon greeted by the freshness of the air once more. It was much better than the cramped inside of the traven, one she may simply ditch after this. However before she even thought about that she returned to the fields, finding it to be the best way to clear her head. Great... More people. The guy seemed to be overly dramatic and harsh. Though cruelty is what made one tough, which was the only way to live in this game. And oh, twins. Twins were rather interesting to Meerna and she never did stop wondering if they really did pick up on each other's thoughts and feelings. This curiosity drew her towards them without much thought, though when she realized this her attention went back to the mentor. Who would do that? Waving to him she wished to get his attention, wondering if she could sell him anything. A teacher type often did collect things for their students after all.
With everyone talking about their histories it felt like a therapy session in the room, though give them a few more minutes and the bar just very well turn into a fighting ring. The only real surprising bit about this though was the fact that Sophie had retained a cool head throughout it all. In fact Luce was making her seem perfectly sane. Though that may change down the road. Speaking of down the road... A literal road was mention. Road trips? That was something familiar to the teen, although she never went in a group before. However it sounded fun, as they could finally move on from this...whatever it was, and actually learn what this new life would bring them. Wait...she never got to tell her tale like the others had done. It wasn't her fault though, it was just that these guys were hyped up on something. Those orginal few. It wasn't like her to want to do any story telling, but if all the others did it then she might have to. In any case she just looked towards Lenny, the ring leader for this group of wayward orphans for a sign telling them what to do next.
a bit slow on posting this but here's my profile since muff monkey hasn't posted in a while. hopefully it wasn't too slow though. Username: Monochrome Name: Sophie Rey Age: 19 Power(s): By making eye contact with someone she can access their minds to read them and control not only their thoughts but actions as well, though things too strong may be immune. She can also overload the brain to cause it to shut down. Given enough demon blood and eye contact is no longer needed. There's also premonitions and the ability to freeze things by touch. Background: Being blamed for her mother's death brought upon unfair treatment from her father. The abuse left her broken and even when logic said otherwise she blamed herself as well. At the age of fourteen Sophie tried to kill herself only for her father to walk in during. He laughed and said about time and they began to fight. During this fight Sophie yelled die to him which caused him to collapse suddenly. However he remained alive, only brain dead. With her father in a coma and no other family members to claim her she was sent to several foster homes. She kept being switched due to several reasons such as abuse which lead her to try and run away or her attitude that got her sent to another. Personality: Though normally calm Sophie suffers from sever from mood swings that can send her into a freezny or cause a break down. The violent outbreaks has hurt many over her years but thanks to it the abuse did finally stop. Wanting to be happy and a more likeable person she tried to find better ways to relieve her stress and it was working until her powers started increasing. The headaches made thinking straight near impossible and she ended up killing someone with her icy touch which lead to a final attempt to run away. This time it worked with many thanks to her mind control power. She become vain since she was able to control everyone up until Lenny. Since she couldn't control his mind she found respect for the guy and now acts curious about everything out there and wishes to learn, moreso than to hunt. Appearance: Sophie Favorite Weapon: A hunting knife attached to her belt Other:
it keeps logging me off or closing on me tho
No it's no problem, I figured as much. I just wanted to make sure you know for future reference.
I'd just like to point out that you, Chie, got a bit ahead of yourself on your post in the rp. Saying that the group left after that without the others posting first can be considered godmodding, so this is just a bit of a warning.
I'll have my character meet up with yours in my next post if that is okay with you?
[ooc; I've been having some irl issues thus the late replies. I'm really sorry but hopefully they're over now.] After counting the money and doing the math Meerna nodded with a smile. "The girl has enough on her own." It took a brief moment but soon everything was added to a trade list and the request sent. Now all they needed to, or rather Mya needed to do, was accept the offer and their deal was done. But before just heading off she wished to know more about this group. "So you're going off to training right? There's nothing left worth fighting against in the fields unless you get a random rare spawn or something but there's a dungeon near by in the wooded area. Alone I wouldn't recommend it but since you all are in a group it should be fine for you."
With all of them agreeing to at least check out her items Meerna smiled. Sadly they seemed smart enough to know the actual prices, or at least the one girl did, so no rip-offs here. It wasn't a thing she enjoyed doing anyway and at least this way she would be helping them out as well as getting the cash for herself. That made a lot more sense compared to giving it to a NPC, a thing that would never use it. And in a world like this, where all fought to live, it seemed unfair and just stupid not to keep it among the players. Opening her menu now she came upon the item section. With ten health potions she figured selling five of them would be okay so she took them out and placed them on the nearest table. After that she found three teleporting crystals and one antidote crystal she was okay with selling. That seemed like more than enough for the group, in fact it was quite generous of her in her mind. "So all of this or only a bit? How much can you afford?"
[OOC Thread] Hospitals filled to the brim, the patients all having some sickness never seen before. Some question if it's even an infection rather than a curse as those who should be dead rose once more. These people - or rather- these things spread their disease and ate the living. In an attempt to save everyone refugee camps were set up and evacuation orders were given. Portland, Oregon was no different. The streets and highways became cramped with cars, all trying to leave the city. Some scared for their lives, others thinking that the threat would pass soon. All having no real idea just what waited for them in the future. Soon after the city had been mostly cleared helicopters flew in. 'Bomb the streets.' That was the gist of their orders. Even if some had lingered behind, unable or unwilling to leave their homes they were to bomb the streets. Though with the army so thinned out they had to wonder if even this would be enough as it seemed hell had been unleashed on the world. Or worse - the gods had done this, leaving no one to save them. The starting location for this rp is Portland, Oregon. It is expected for most to be on the highway leading away from the city, though as it is so filled no one can even drive through it most have exited their cars to talk to others. If you've watched the show this is very similar to how Lori and Shane were in the beginning of the outbreak. On the radios there's a broadcast on every channel that repeats the same thing over and over, to remain calm and head to a refuge camp which is near the city. However it will soon cut off. If you can see the city still you can witness the bombings. Another choice for a starting point is to be someone who refused or was unable to leave the city or a solider trying to save said people or fighting off walkers. By morning the troops there would have fallen and will lose radio commutations right after being given orders of retreat. It's your choice to stay in the city though it would be highly unsafe here. You could form a group, join an already existing one, or brave the world on your own.
Well for the time being I think we'll make The Walking Dead one, but maybe sometime later I'll come back and make the Alphas one as well. Not too soon though of course but yeah at some point it'd come to be.
