DF, I think it's in general more prudent to go with whatever flows best to you. It's not like it's going to hurt you to do it whichever way is most convenient to you, right? People will probably appreciate it all the more if you try to make everything as cohesively continuous and comprehensive as you can with your formatting because it's just easier to read when the breaks aren't done based on length but on plot points.
