Maybe I'm being a little naive in thinking this, but people should know when what they're saying or doing isn't strictly relevant or contributing. Like just having people of varying opinions and abilities shouldn't mean than it all goes to hell in a handbasket. It should actually mean that people learn to be better than they are by seeing people they can admire or appreciate. I won't deny that stratification is the fact of the day, but I don't think it needs to be what we strive for. I always have to strive for the impossible. A goal that can be achieved isn't worth trying for. So we should be striving for a more integrated and symbiotic system where everyone helps each other even if it can never actually happen. Again, I feel that people can or should parse for themselves whether something is worth saying and if they can't someone should help them learn to. Then let's also bring up the point that someone who's already good at art will receive a lot less assistance from a bunch of laymen than someone with no ability at all. It's why for a long while I made a point of editing people's work when they needed it that got posted in the writing section, to help them achieve more and get better. When people were already far past me I'd usually just ignore them or add to their reputation because I had no way of helping them. So even if the artist is better, I'd rather see their thread die for lack of criticism than push out others by getting nothing but generic praise.
I'm assuming he's talking about Izayoi from Touhou and it's referring to some part of the collective headcanon which is the only actual canon for the series where she wears breast pads since basically all the characters are flat as a board nailed to another board.
As a horribly mediocre person I'm going to have to get a little offended over this. I may not be one of those codependent little nothings who I'll leave unnamed, but I'm not really all that smart to talk to or all that engaging to be around. From a perfectly selfish perspective, I feel that there needs to be a place for everyone and if not a little site like this one, where? The internet is a very harsh place and many of us wouldn't make it elsewhere. Everywhere else I go I'm a lurker and I only go to people watch. In a more accepting and diverse environ people feel that they are allowed to talk without worrying about being shouted down or ignored. That's why I wouldn't like a place that's full of intelligent and interesting people, it'd basically be like everywhere else, it'd be a museum, an exhibit for me. I wouldn't say a word and it'd fuel my already pretty unhealthy feelings of crushing inferiority. Also, those are really general and subjective terms. Intelligent and interesting.
Not really. A lot of people come places online to put on their inside face so to speak. They don't want to deal with the stresses and problems and expectations of everyday life and the face they have to put on to put up with all that. So when the place where they go to get away from their troubles and relax a bit begins to be less soothing than irritating there is no longer a point to it from a logical perspective. That's when you either move on or get out of the game entirely.

I've never had nutella. People always go on about how wonderful it is. I wonder what it's like.
Yeah. The whole thing was kind of a half baked idea. I just happen to like the half that got baked to the safe edible temperature and dislike the other half that is still goopy and possibly bacteria filled.
My problem with it was pretty much that I played as Roxas. Got to know him. Felt sorry for him. Killed him. Then I had to slog through a game with Sora and very few actual references back to who was basically a better leading man for this game in some ways. The game pretty much just let that one week be it. I felt like there should have been more, I'm not talking about small changes to the game. I'm talking about wanting a totally different story.
I would have been able to like it more if it felt like it meant more later on. I feel like the kinda dealt with the whole Roxas deal in a kind of ham handed fashion storytelling and plot wise.

That was bad. You should feel bad.
Sounds like your trip will have a ****** sense of rhythm and have a dead end career where all his peers can only look down on him.
