But there (technically) already is CFW. I installed it about an hour ago. It adds the "install PKG files" and some other "/PS3_GAME" thing. KaKaRoTo or someone did it, if I'm correct.​

That's what I was thinking, since the keys did that. How would one get the homebrew things onto the PS3? USB drive?

I'm still not so sure what jailbreaking does to a PS3, really. What it enables/etc. Backups and such? Of course I have Version 3.55 (I think) and it seemed like too much trouble to try and jailbreak it anyway.​

Not really much I can say though. Now I (we) wait for a way to hack PS3 games, cause as far as I know there isn't a way yet. Cause of the signed junk I assume. Need to jailbreak it too. I'm happy about this, I guess. :B

You compare two dumps and go to the address of the code in the dump in which the code was hacked. If KH2FM code, go to address in a KH2FM dump; if KH2 code, go to address in KH2 dump.

Then you look around the code for the data stuffs. I forgot what it was called. ...the 0242abcd XXXXXXXX. The X's. Then search in the OTHER dump the same data and try to find if they're the same, or close to the same stuff. That's how I do it.

If that was confusing, I'll try steps:

1) open dump with non-ported code
2) go to address of code in dump (G)
3) look around at all the data of the addresses (and the original data of the code, they may be the same)
4) open another dump of the game you want to port to (if originally US game, then PAL or Jap is what you're porting to. or FM in KH's case. and vice-versa)
5) search (CTRL+F, check "As Hex String" and be sure to type the data BACKWARDS for every two digits; if data you want to search for is 3c020001, then you will type 01 00 02 3c)
6) keep looking around like that till you think you got it.​
