I'm glad only a small contingent of my friends actually play it.
Not compared to anything. It's just a weak title because it's not incredibly well made or anything. If you want a comparison, compare it to Dota. It's a Dota clone and does everything worse. In Dota one build might beat another build but will lose to a third one. In LoL builds can be objectively better than others meaning there are fewer ways to play each champion than there might be if they thought out their item base a little better.
Doesn't make it better. I don't mind people playing it since a bunch of people I know in real life do, but it still is a weak game.
There is no shifting metagame, instead to shift playstyles and prevent it from acting like a solved game they patch it every week.
Throw it back.
1) phoenixkh93- I think you said that you spent a lot more time on this one than other entries and honestly it really does show. This is a great drawing only made more impressive by the fact that you did it with a mouse. Some of your perspective on the right side of the face isn't quite right, but the coloring and lighting dynamics are so spot on that I hardly care. 2) Ienzo - Overall a decent piece. The background is very well put together. The body itself needs a little work like his left hand. But you've got a lot of the general things pretty much as done as they need to be. Like the angles and foreshortening are pretty good, but parts of the lighting and anatomy make him look a little awkward and flat. So it's a good drawing made better by the fact that you actually colored it and gave it such a solid background, but it doesn't look perfectly finished. 3) No voting for yourself. NOTE: My gif is set to run only once. Making it an infinite loop kind of felt off. I also recommend watching it at full size through the link. Sorry for forgetting to mention it earlier.
Hero sees part of his friend and thinks he made it out okay, then notices his friend is actually grievously injured or dead and there is nothing he can do about it.
Well, you did what you were supposed to so there's no problem. It's not like you have some asian parents that are gonna beat you for lying and never let you out again. EDIT: Also, wrong section. Take it to Help With Life.
Just tell her what's up. This isn't even a question.
Be a liar. Tell lies.
Thanks for the encouragement. Not sure if this is what you were getting at but I feel I should clarify that the bones were there in the original version, they just were wrapped around her corresponding body parts. Like she doesn't wear shoes because she stands on the feet and the toe bones curl up like shoes and the hands just sort of do the same sort of thing. Having them move autonomously was to show the second state they could be in. God of practicality and board games: http://i.minus.com/iVA9ZYlNyDmsF.png -- Manually merged doublepost -- SAI only allows 10000 pixels. Expect like 15 more of these. http://i.minus.com/is3YDtMNNCSD2.png -- Manually erged doublepost --- I love the acrylic tool in SAI. Nostalgia character aside, this is one turned out decently. http://i.minus.com/ibvfKxfzYLhJun.png General Footer and Notes: All of my art from now on is probably ending up in this thread/post. I post here for the same reason I post my art anywhere and that's for feedback and criticism. So... well I've actually no idea why people have a tendency not to post here so I can't even call anyone out on anything. Either way, just a reminder that CnC is always and I mean always appreciated. Out.
Gundam style.
F5... F5... F5... F5... Oh, something happened. F5... F5... F5... F5...
Eh, we can talk anywhere. We don't need a designated, "It's okay to talk here area." Ideally, everywhere should be more or less like that. I'm not saying that everyone should be thoughtlessly accepting of everything that gets said all the time or anything, but the goal is openness so don't close it off to just one secluded area.
I'm against filters. Censoring looks bad but retains intent. Filters look ridiculous and will, I promise you, grate on someone no matter what words you choose. I'd prefer censors to look more like the hide code than the **********.
B-a-s-t-a-r-d-i-z-a-t-i-o-n. It means to lower the quality of something or alternatively it twist and pervert it to a certain extent. It's a good concise word with no great synonyms.
Running with toast.
*******ization is a legitimate word. ****** is not. So why does it show up like this?
There's may indeed be no way to physically and literally implement a solution. But since this is something that's about communication at its root, we've already made progress since we've all communicated here. It's like I understand why you appear offline and I don't blame you for it or begrudge anyone the right to it but I also see why in some cases it's unnecessary. In my head this was never about policy change so much as talking it out and trying to find common ground and in lieu of that a certain level of understanding and comprehension at least. I know that I know more now than when the thread started and while nothing is going to change on the books or in the actions of most people, the way I see things is going to be a bit differently. So it's not so much that I thought you guys were getting off topic or out of hand so much as extending that train of thought wouldn't have really brought much new to the table and like I said, the goal is to communicate, to exchange a little info, to in a way teach each other a little something. Wow, that sounds kind of goofy.
At this point I feel like it's good enough that several members have effectively voiced their opinions and probably will continue to do so. There isn't a need for argument, though. We now know how people feel about the issue and should take it upon ourselves to take from this what we can and act accordingly. If you felt you got nothing from being here, sorry for wasting your time. If you felt like you got a better perspective something, you're welcome. This topic shouldn't have to end here or anything but no one is benefiting from a protracted argument without a reason for either side to budge. Perhaps I'm being optimistic, but I feel like talking this out was a good thing and may have at least helped someone.
