I call half the front page.
Honesty is the always the best policy. Honestly without any positive or negative spin is what people need more often than not. We aren't so immature that this, even if we aren't satisfied with it, is going to make us all sad pandas. So there's really no need to try and act like it's all unicorns and rainbows. Things changed a lot. They will now incrementally change until the site is in some reasonable working order and then things will remain more or less stable for a time before it hits the next big change. That's inevitable, no one's opinion of it will change it. We need a realistic evaluation of the situation because that's how we'll decide whether it's time to leave or time to head over the the suggestion box. Acting like everything is fine will only hurt the userbase in the long and short of it. You'll see one day if that's true or not, but for the moment we'll assume that you are.
Not a man.
Expecting a certain outcome without significant basis for it is wrong. That's why I feel that optimism and pessimism are frequently detrimental to a clear and free view of the world. I have been stating my specific problems. Other people have too. Don't assume that I was trying to victimize anyone, I pointed out problems and told you to be a little more straight with people. Things changed because someone thought they had to, because of actual verifiable reasons. I acknowledge that and it doesn't mean I should be all aboard the happy train over it. I don't hate the site. If I hated this site, I'd be gone already and you'd all probably be the gladder for it.
I feel like the only one who's trying to stay normal until the day I die.
I don't like it personally, but I can see where it'd be helpful if I ever left this section.
Does constantly having alerts make you feel important?
That's one thing in their favor.
Your settings might be off or it might be a bug.
Either or.
No. It just means you weren't pressured into doing something stupid.
I don't see anyone having trouble using the site because of a lack of knowledge or understanding. What I see is people having problems with a site that is different in many ways they would not have liked to have it. In the end you're just sugar coating, they're not going to learn anything. You're telling people that eventually they'll give into the reality and allow themselves to become subordinated by it.
I meant within threads and sections. So change that to who's viewing I suppose.
Can't see who's online at the bottom of the page.
No more friends, just followers and followed. This is not twitter. I refuse to "follow" anyone and I'd most prefer it that no one "follow" me.
I'm just glad that I'm leaving for the Fall next week. We'll see if I return for the Winter session at all.
Alerts for everything. Fewer options on the control panel. Edit: Fixed the alert problem.
Rep is replaced with likes. Never using this feature. @Libre: Just listing problems I'm having because it's my way of seething. I could complain, but nothing will change. Some of my issues will be solved in time and some of them are inherent to this whatever they call it thing.
Pages load slower. Logged me out when I tried to go the the control panel. Looks bad as of yet. Censors are done wrong. Posts aren't showing up 40 per page.
Depends on the url. Though I'll admit I usually don't even check.
