What the fuck kind of insect are you dealing with?
My little cousins were never so difficult.
Can't ignore his girth.
Yeah, I noticed that after I made the suggestion but it's still a horribly cumbersome and inconvenient system that no one will enjoy using.

It's 'cause they don't want us to see anything.
Best have been a damn good cheeseburger, girlfriend.
It did briefly cross my mind that that might be the case. Thanks for the update, though.
Funny how we now use the least popular alternative to asterisks in this thread. Was that the Xenforo default or did someone really think that the word filter didn't look stupid? No offense intended, it's hard to get this idea across without sounding rude, though.
You'd have to kill me before I used it. But in lieu of this can we instead modify sending private messages to make it quicker(not take forever, this Xenforo thing loads much slower for me for some reason so nothing that takes loading a bunch of new pages in between messaging and getting back to the thread) and more accessible from posts or introduce something like saging so that I don't have to bump a thread to respond to it?[DOUBLEPOST=1345249654][/DOUBLEPOST]Also, is it possible to change the listed words on the forum from Discussions to Threads and Messages to Posts? It's small but it does annoy me.
I still try to think of his advice when working on landscapes today.
One day I will put a padlock in someone's gauge and then throw the key across a busy street.
The whole like system is pointless. I used rep to send short private messages either correcting their error or showing approval. It helped me keep pointless things out of threads while still letting someone know exactly how I felt about their post without calling needless attention to it. This system let's everyone see how liked a post is and has removed the ability to add comments or neg. Then there's the fact that everyone's like is worth the same so it's basically worth less than nothing to have likes on a post. I'm never going to use this system and I suggest others ignore it as well.
Off the top of my head: Re-add multiquote, it was a useful function. Re-add custom number of posts per page, it was a useful function. Remove likes, it's tacky and unsightly.
Quickshot.
Anything that comes from here on out will be different and even if it doesn't completely suck will still be different and no one will ever feel the same way about it. You know very well that history is irreplaceable. You can go on about how much you need to make new memories and you can't dwell on the past, but there's a difference from having a past and dwelling on it. What we lost wasn't the ability to remember or think about the past, it was the ability to see it. You want a fresh start? Then you're running from your past, which is just as bad as being trapped in it.
Much to my chagrin I discovered that user notes were gone. All of them. All the history. Gone. No one will ever go looking through the forum and find older member's profiles and get an idea of what brought this site here. No one will ever have the pleasure of finding out someone they just started talking to was actually someone they'd seen before. No one will ever see something they left themselves to look back on like a time capsule. No one will ever see messages from old members, long since gone. No one will ever know anything. It's all gone. Probably forever. Before you start posting, "No one used those anymore, anyways," or ,"Stop being such a nostalgiafag," or anything really. Just remember, we had a history. We are this site, we were its past. That past has been slowly chipped away at and lost over time, but we had relics. We had something easily accessible to prove that we were here. Now how much longer before the old threads are just deleted because, "No one uses those anymore, anyways."
Gotta draw a new one up I guess.
Yeah, I don't like it when people get like that about it and pretend that a change doesn't come with any negatives. It inevitably has problems and acknowledging them is important, otherwise you're just blinding yourself or trying to force your own opinions on others, neither of which is really graceful.
That's not how I feel. I don't like trying to categorize or compare feelings. It's usually difficult and far from fruitful. I'd probably miss talking to you, but in the end I wasn't making a prediction I was just acknowledging that we'll part ways at some point and that you'd only know for sure then.
