Yeah, actually thinking it'll change anything is nothing short of delusional. Things will be what they are for better or worse. Just because it's okay doesn't mean I don't still wish they'd shut up.
All writers are fallible. From the best to the worst, none are perfect. I am more than willing to accept that sometimes the writer just plain ****ed up. They can do wrong. And like any other element in a story couples can be done well or badly. While I'm not really into the whole shipping game, I feel like you can legitimately criticise the flaws in a piece and feel that there are better alternatives with pairings the same as fight sequences, character deaths, plot twists and everything else. So accepting what the creator put out isn't necessarily the best thing to do, whether it's couples or anything else. In fact, I feel that if you're not at least trying to be critical of the author's decisions then you're being somewhat... complacent. /not actually all the related to topic
