I'm a huge fan of Densha Otoko, Train Man. If anyone's read the novel or watched the show they'll understand my position a lot better. KHV isn's just a site, it's a place where people come to unwind and be themselves, or not themselves, depending on who they are. KHV is only half of what's actually there. it'd be great if we could work into the plot that this is actually a site that we go to online and read and interact on and everything, but at the end of the day we still have our real lives to contend with. I'd split it up into three separate narratives running either parallel centered around key events or in three distinct acts with three different styles, a new member, a veteran member and a third kind, maybe a really old returning member or a banned member. Anyways we'd explore how the site activity is influenced by their everyday life and how their everyday life in turn goes through some dramatic change due to their time spent online. All the musical numbers would be representations of online communication to create a distinction between the online world and the real one.

The main conflict would probably be determined by each character, but we could also run a grand overarching sitewide conflict like it shutting down or some major shitstormery or something. The setting would clearly be divided into the site and the real world. The site would be a more fantastical or generally surreal place based around the sections, perhaps even going so far as giving them all separate art styles to accent this. On the other hand, the real world would just be real. The characters would be represented by avatar/headcanon forms when the site or any online communication, including msn or skype, is the setting and more realistic interpretations when they are in the real world. Not every character gets a real world version of themselves since the main windows are the three protagonists. The site interactions would be either direct learning tools or metaphors for the problems of the member's in their real lives and the online and offline climaxes would intersect in a weird bleed through where you see some of both for a musical number. But at the end the conflict is resolved and everyone's the better for it and then they get back up to their same old shenanigans and take us away with a rousing exit number.

This is actually a horrible idea. Wow.

Only 'cause you did first. Don't want it to get around that I'm into that initiating social contact thing in any way.

Totally off topic, but I saw your avatar and nearly cried. Like legit, I felt my tears kind of well of and then pass. How many years has it been since it's updated...

Totally on topic, but I never really talked to the OP so I don't have anything to say.

Many more on the same person refers to many more breasts on the same person, like someone with more than two, six or even ten. That's how English works.

You know what? It's fine. You don't need a pity gun. Because that's what the Dragunov is now, a sign of that bitch looking down on you. Well, you don't need it. You're going to make your flight with time to spare. Good job, you. Hell, you're going to get there with time to spare and look like a perfect little angel. You change into a set of clothes matching your packed set and leave your house but not before packing something for the long trip. You know what you mean. Not much happens on the way to the airport. Some bum tries to cop a feel, you crack him good with your elbow and tell him not to bother. You're way out of his league. He rubs his cranium with confusion and scurries off. Maybe you just look more like a quiet victim stereotype in these clothes... Bugger that. No way you're turning back now. You've arrived at the airport and

    So

I realise you think what you did was funny. I understand how someone could misapprehend their own words so greatly that they'd assume they were funny. I really do. But regardless of how serious you were, you made light of something that, personally, I feel no one on this site should be making light of. I have been quiet recently, but I'm still very displeased with the change. So perhaps my reaction is a little more than is warranted, but don't think that gives you license to insult my intelligence.

In the town of Fawlinbrook the summer days were long and hot and the winter days were short and cold. In the town of Fawlinbrook the children ran and skinned their knees on the sidewalks and played on swing sets and slides. In the town of Fawlinbrook the adults all made good, honest livings and kept their feet firmly planted on the ground and their heads well away from those white fluffy monsters. The men mowed the lawns of their own houses and grilled with charcoal in the summer and shoveled the driveways and spent days picking out the perfect Christmas trees in the winter. The women cleaned their homes and cooked without removing their pearls and always had some new bit of gossip to share with her little friends. It was a nostalgic little town, harking back to an era gone by. It was a quiet sleepy little town with a nice, peaceful, relaxing air about it. Like everyday would last forever. Like the slanting of the shadows and dulling of the light wasn't a sign of the passage of time for it had happened exactly like that before and shall happen exactly like that again. So silently certain and self assured was it that it seemed it would last forever. Even when one would leave for the present day, that small town of Fawlinbrook would persist as it was, a small pristine little slice of idyll, in memory forever.

In the city of Fawlinbrook the summer days are sweltering and oppressive and the winter days are bitter and dreary. In the city of Fawlinbrook the children stay indoors and run around their parents' ankles screaming bloody murder. In the city of Fawlinbrook the adults are all on the lookout for new job prospects and keep their hopes down lest they be taken in by a loan shark or ponzi scheme. The men drink themselves to sleep and stay out suspiciously late. The women stay out of their husbands' way and frequently have strangers come to call. It is a bleak little city reflecting the attitudes of an even bleaker era. It is a stoic little city with a dirty, mean, overcast atmosphere. So repressively worried and uncertain was it that if one looked away for a second this ville might just disappear beneath the sands of time, blotted from the pages of memory. Even when one comes to stay for the rest of one's days, that small city of Fawlinbrook would only remain a small tarnished little slice of misery, anxiously waiting to be forgotten.

This little... er, thing, I guess, is an introduction. A mood setter of sorts. I really like slice of life novels with that generous helping of surreality that's so prevalent in unpopular fiction and this is going to be something like that.

    Questions, comments, concerns, complaints?
    Yeah, me neither.

Your head is oddly clear. No internal arguments, just a single driven purpose. It's less interesting but it saves time and effort. So you grab an outfit that won't stand out. Something that exudes that air or demure and reservation that is precisely antithetical to your personality. They'll be completely and utterly fooled. The tossers. Whoever they are. They'll see you and they'll think you're innocent and pure as a freshly fallen snowflake. Or a nun. Nuns are pretty nonthreatening. It's just a sweater and a long skirt you remind yourself. Nuns have wimples. Those things are probably the only threatening thing about nuns though. Never know what's under those... Maybe even baldness. You also need to see if your Dragunov is done. It took a tumble back in Belgrade that you thought was the end of it, but Snowflake had been kind enough to salvage it for you and have it sent to your repair man. She always had a way with guns. You're pretty sure her sexuality is somehow related to it. She's never been with a man in all the years you've known her but she sleeps with that damned pistol EVERY. FUCKING. NIGHT. It's absolutely bonkers, could a piece of cold metal ever feel as good as a real... You call Calvin to see if the gun is finished with repairs and wipe the drool from your mouth. Come on, have some damn poise, ya lazy little wart. He doesn't pick up. You text his cell. He doesn't reply. What is this witchery? You have to

[] make your flight. Fuck the gun, you'll buy a new one later.
[] go see if Calvin's okay. Someone might have stolen your gun.
[] leave now, they're after you.
[] pack a little friend. If you know what you mean. Selfwink

Alphabetize your lists. Make it easier to see if a given idea has been used or is on the will use list.

Alliteration (use it in related entries)
Assonance (use it in related entries)
    Dissatisfaction
Formal (use any true structured poem)
    Limerick (use this particular structure)
One Chance (make no changes to anything once it's committed to paper or document, no formatting, no editing, no starting over, no corrections, no matter how small, no exceptions)
    Scale
    Size
    Sonnet (use this particular structure)
Timed (give limited writing time, honor system)

Please... don't. My eyes burn from the shittiness.

You just need to get a steady update schedule. There are a couple points where I was kind of lost, not a really a problem but you could go for a little bit more clarity at times. Like your writing has a lot of the metaphors and descriptions and other basic elements that it needs but you should probably make sure that you're using them when they are most needed rather than everywhere. Strunk and White say, "Omit needless words." That's rule 1. So think about economy of language and ease of reading sometimes, try to keep everything more or less there but remind yourself that what's necessary is what's good.

You just about know everyone is going to be looking up that join date for a clue now. I'm however going to call Maki-rin as the villain since he's the most likely to become one.

You were about to eat. Yeah that's right, you were about to finish off that pizza from last night. You're supposed to be on a diet, but let's be completely honest with yourself. You've never been fat by any stretch of the imagination unless you're counting some of your more conspicuous endowments. Why were you even on a diet? Maybe it's your generally unhealthy eating habits you were trying to fix. Regardless of any of that pointless drivel, you've got a pizza with your name quite figuratively on it. Alright. Here it is in all its cold, hard, day old glory. Your banana, pineapple, jalaepeno and pepperoni pizza. As you're working your way through your first slice, you realize it's missing something. Yeah it's missing something alright. Needs more mayonnaise. After you've rectified that oversight in the manufacturing process it's time to get a move on. Seriously, you have somewhere to be, what's all this wherewithall about pizza you've got going on. There are people that desperately need you to get revenge on them and a psychobitch who is going to help you do that whether she is aware of it or not. You've got an hour before you've got to leave for the airport. You haven't packed your... anything, yet. Perhaps now's the time to get on that. You

[] Pack up a set of cute clothes and check to see if your package has made it to the States yet.
[] Pack up a set of conservative clothes and call a guy about a gun.
[] Pack up whatever and get a move on early.
[] Don't pack anything and stop by Lemarckus' place.
