I have a sudden craving for donuts.
TIME TO GET ALL POLITICAL IN THIS BITCH! And I am here to provide that information. Cancer seems to be the go-to disease when you want to sway people in your direction. Now I don't know what act this guy was reading but I'm reading through the PPACA right now and there's nothing on this page that has any reference to cancer. The actual quote is "we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of controversy", and she's talking about all the lies and false rumors that were spreading about it. Things had gotten so absurd that by this point many had given up on trying to have an honest dialogue about it, since people kept worrying about things that had no basis in reality. Pelosi was simply trying to say that once the bill is finalized and passed, then everyone can look at it and see, without question, what is actually in the thing Actually, there are multiple parts of the bill that specifically state that the recipient of tax credits and other good stuff must be a legal resident of the United States. And while the bill doesn't specifically forbid illegals from buying insurance or getting treated at hospitals, neither did the laws in the US before the PPACA. So even at worst, illegals still have just as much trouble getting medical care as they used to. Just checked the document to confirm this and I have not found anything that suggests it so I'm just going to disregard it at the moment. Haven't found any reference to this either and I'm starting to believe that the person who made this email didn't do their research since section 164 isn't anywhere near page 65. Section 1303 is on page 65. ._. On 6/28/12, the Supreme Court ruled that the act was Constitutional, as long as it was considered a tax on the uninsured and not a penalty for not buying insurance... nitpicking about wording, mostly, but the long and short of it is it looks like this was accepted by the courts BECAUSE IT WAS TREATED AS A TAX! Incorrect. After 2015, a doctor's pay will be determined by the quality of their care, not how many people they treat. I personally don't know the full details of this part of the act yet so I suggest reading this to clear things up. Have found no reference to this as well. Or this. Or this. OH COME ON! NOT EVEN THIS! This page is actually the part of the bill where health care quality improvement are stated. xD Not true. Members of Congress won't have a health insurance plan funded by our taxes anymore and will instead have to use the same health insurance that any normal citizen would have access to. I thought something was fishy about this so I decided to do a little research, more like a little Google search, and I found that the bill being referenced in this email isn't even the PPACA, the actual basis for "Obamacare". It was instead the America's Afforadable Health Choices Act of 2009. Y'know...the bill that was never passed in Congress. Thus many of the references in here are irrelevant, outdated or both.
Congratulations on becoming green and our first translator, gurl! Be the best translator you can be, Sumi.
I read the thread title and instantly thought of this. "Listen up, maggots. You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else." And damn, I can't choose an option. They're all so awesome. King is tempting.
Besides being a cool kid who happens to read Homestuck, I did nothing. She decided to read the webcomic on her own. NOW CONFORM AND READ HOMESTUCK...
Where's the "all of them" option!?
DaveXJade <3 Spoiler: omg dat rap My body wasn't ready for that rap, Kelly. Too awesome. I agree that it can be relaxing at times. It's just that motivating yourself to do it is difficult. And thank you even though you've never tasted my food. xD I'll make sure to cook something for you someday.
Dave is one of my favorite characters. As if that wasn't obvious enough. >_> And give us a phat rhyme, MC Kelly! Cleaning is so boring, right? At least there's that satisfaction of having a clean room afterwards. And oh god, I have to cook for myself this whole entire weekend. Let's hope I don't kill myself with my own cooking... I thought the "Schoolgirl" part fit me the most. teehee :3
Liking the new name? Oh nice. What do you think of Homestuck so far? I know it can be weird but some people like that. And you're always cool, Kelly.Totally. Yeah. (⌐■_■) I'm not up to much. I've finally gotten around to doing the things that I've been neglecting as of late like cleaning my room or doing the laundry. Boring stuff. D:
Yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sup mah homies?
Homestuck - wwretched wwaltz
It was the updated version. The old version is working just fine. And no need to worry, I can wait until Friday. I'll just work with old version...
So I was looking through all the parts for the MEP and I found out that my download of your video must have gone wrong since it was corrupted. So...
I was bored. I was a hipster before you were born, son. B| That's kind of the point.
No, wait. I got this. Just let me get some rum.
Impressions plz :3 How did you decide on the name Saxima when you first joined? What do you think your life would be like without KHV? What foreign country would you like to visit? Favorite movie? Favorite movie soundtrack? Which Homestuck character do you relate to the most? Could you explain to me why the name Kallisti was chosen for the group? You don't have to answer this here if you don't want to.
Yann Tiersen - L'étal
Amaury...cursing...well ****. And where's this character limit at? ._.
But premium isn't a big enough motivation for normal members nowadays. Have you seen how many normal members become premium nowadays? It isn't many. A Noble usergroup is good idea and I like the idea of having something to motivate premium members to post more but in the end, premiums are a minority. There are around 150 of us. Less than half of those members are actually active. Motivating us to post more should be secondary. We've already posted a lot already. It'd be better in my opinion to motivate a much bigger group, the normal members, to post more.
I imagine Misty blushing when she reads this thread.
