    Immature

I had a similar conversation with a group of friends one time only ... it didn't involve rape ... it didn't involve Billy Rae Cyrus ... it involved Robin Williams movies in a dim lit room with a Janitor walking in at the most awkwardest of conversational topics. I mean the two conversations are basically the same, right?

Srsly tho, I didn't get how that was funny. Not trying to be like righteous or anything, just saying it was a poorly crafted joke. I laughed harder when I heard Peter Griffon, from Family Guy, say the line "Guess what. Chicken butt." I laughed for a good ten minutes, then another ten when I repeated the joke aloud to myself. That 'joke' didn't even incite so much as a smirk, chuckle, or even a sigh.

Maybe it's just a generational thing though. Or perhaps it was simply a situation appropriate thing and your reenactment of the punchline is flawed.

At any rate, you guys shouldn't judge. We were all kids at one point in time. We all laughed when the word 'boob' was mentioned. We all laughed at fart jokes and fat jokes. We all grew didn't we? Well most of us anyway *looks in the direction of the oldfarts for no reason whatsoever*

Oh-ho, wow. I happen to be doing an English paper on stereotypes and I can see this sort of got into that portion of things, even if momentarily.

    Thoughts in a nutshell:
    • People stereotype because they hate to lack information regarding subjects. Therefore they take into account that the moon has only ten percent of earth's gravitational force while never having been to the moon themselves.
    • People use stereotypes when there is a lack of information or understanding. My prime example and basic topic for the paper is bronies. Bronies are stereotyped because people don't understand why bronies exist (lack of information or understanding).
As mentioned by DigitalAtlas above, or implied I suppose, people (not all but a lot) take information from a book written well before their great grandfather's great grandfather's time and they believe in it wholeheartedly; lest they find a contradiction through personal experience in which case a portion of information gets rewritten. So it begs the question, why are we all so gullible? Have you ever thought about how hard it is to just say "I don't know" to someone? If you haven't you probably make your own ideals and beliefs as opposed to using some based off of other (potentially unreliable) information. For a lot of people it is difficult to simply say that you don't know anything about the matter at hand. It's for that reason that we take information we've picked up before relating to a potentially similar situation or matter and use it to fill in the holes.

I know the old cliche "men are the only ones who don't admit when they're wrong" thing, or maybe that was just directions (not sure), but everyone does it. I actually find myself baffled as to why it's so difficult but it is. Maybe it's just fear of persecution, the thought of being judged, that makes you want to subconsciously fill in holes that you don't have the information to. Ironically a lot of the time that only makes us out to look like fools in the end. Don't get me wrong, there is a difference between deductive reasoning and just tossing up dirt. Deductive reasoning requires you to stop and think about an issue or situation in hopes of using what you know along with logic and reason to figure out a solution that fits. Anyone can say that being *insert race, religion, sex appeal* will lead you to a life of damnation because they read it in a book. Truth is that you can't really know that. I can say that there is a boy with a wand who fights an evil wizard with his friends and saves the world because I read it in a book, does that make it true?

They say ignorance is bliss and I'm sure it is. Constant use of the brain is tiring and often leaves you feeling drained. How blissful it might be to be in a state of constant thoughtlessness. I'm envious of such people.

I'm sorry but I just have to ...

I'm gonna go with 'reassuring men of their heterosexuality' for 500 please!

I have to agree with Misty on the article. It does appear to be reassuring 'straight' men that they are 'straight'. While it may contain what looks like some effort, it could have been given a little more. It does kind of fluctuate between sides and stays 'neutral' if you'd call it that.

I also agree that not everything is black and white, I mean we have 3D television now ... 3D!!! There are many ... many ... many shades of grey in this world along with a full spectrum of colors. If anything I'd have to say I lean straight, if we're going by 'modern' terms. At least the article says that, or implies from what I took of it, bisexual isn't good enough anymore. I do agree for one reason only and that's people almost instantly think 'homosexual' when hearing the word 'bisexual'. I lean straight infers that I prefer women but still have that possibility to like men.

Basically, people are always going to be filling in holes about stuff they don't know. If we start to give out information to disprove and replace the already gathered information there may be a chance to abolish inaccurate beliefs or stereotypes. In thirty years homosexuality may, and will more than likely, be common and accepted.

    Final thoughts:

Old folks and their crazy antics. Young people are just as bad. I think middle aged is around where good drivers are normally found. Too young and they don't stay off their phones. Too old they can't remember if they have a phone thus inadvertently distracting them from driving. It's all just a complete mess.

I'm not a good driver either. I regulate at 1 hour of sleep per day and drive an hour both ways to university ... I don't fall asleep I just don't care if you're only half a cars length behind me when I merge, learn to hit your brakes (at least at that hour of the morning anyway).

Basically the roads will never be safe. Basically run. Basically don't stop running till you find a mad man with a bigger on the inside blue police box, after all he rarely crashes ... except for every other episode. Hmm, just hope the wife is on board.

Looks like it might have changed slightly, but not enough to set it completely apart from the prior style. May have added/removed/changed an artist or something.

    • Looks like the first image is from the first episode, as captioned by the caption within (>_>).
    • The second and third appear to be from an episode that was revealed at Bronycon. Here's a video, though it's just the storyboard, however it does have voices. The song in this panel preview was actually pretty good, even though it was just storyboard animatics.
    • The last one is a toss up though I'm willing to bet it's also part of the same episode as the previous two images. That or a lot of these eps are going to involve depressed Twilight Sparkle ... though with Season 3 ...
At any rate, I'm definitely looking forward to the upcoming season. Just roughly seven days left till the premiere (in my area). Can't wait to see the show prove all the 'Princess Twilight Sparkle' neighsayers (pun intended) wrong. It's going to be a great season and a good way to end the year (statement would fit better if the air date were on new years eve but I don't want to wait that long so xD). See everypony on the twenty third (yes I said everypony) to talk about how awesome the premiere was ^^

Translation: People are dumb ***wholes and I'd really like to just run them over sometimes. Learn to drive you dumb motha****ers! Parents, watch your ****ing kids, man! Army dude guy, while we appreciate your services to this country you can't break traffic laws.

I agree with everything except the last thing. Dumb **** citizens do it, so I ain't gonna say **** when it's an army dude. Especially not when he's taking time to help the trick or treater's on Halloween.

But yeah, most people don't know how to drive. A lot of people don't pay attention. It's life. You're just now noticing this?

Be like me and live in a backwoods area where they give out licenses to anyone. My parallel park was pulling up behind a parked car ... with no other car blocking. I can parallel park though, just wasn't a biggy on the test. You'll do fine or have done fine if you read this post test taking. The worst thing that's going to happen is you'll hit something. You don't really go fast during the test.

ProTip: I always find backing in to be the easiest method of parallel parking.

Such a horrible event. I feel sorry for all the children.

Don't read spoiler if you don't want to see a pessimistic rant about society.
It won't end. As long as there is a single human being alive on this earth it won't end. I don't mean to sound so pessimistic, well I sort of do, but it's true. Human beings are truly the most savage creatures on earth. Why? Because they can think. They can process and organize information in a way that most other creatures can't. That makes them the deadliest predators.

The only thing that keeps us from going all out into savage fits is a little thing called self control. Most of us would know that shooting up a school is something you shouldn't do. However, when you have people who snap or just don't care then that self control is lesser or abolished completely. Once this occurs there is nothing stopping them from acting on impulse, going into a fit of savage rage.

Be it a cause of drugs, a disorder, or just the results of a twisted demented mind, it's a possibility hidden away in each of us. It's a possible event that could be triggered in any human being. That's why the senseless violence will never stop, so long as we all shall live.

    Legal Age

I think eighteen is a completely acceptable age. It's not about being accountable for what you do but the freedoms that come with it. Sure, you are held accountable for anything you do but that's your choice to make. Plenty of kids well under eighteen get emancipation and move out on their own. You're better off than trying to go out into the world at fifteen or younger.

At eighteen you should be pretty close to full development both physically and mentally, though seeing a lot of the idiot guys I know I'd have to think that over. If you're going to be stupid then you're going to be stupid. Two years won't make a difference. We learn from experience and that's what life is, an experience. Not everyone moves out of the house at eighteen anymore anyway. With the economy the way it is most kids are staying home.

As a note, you should be more specific when making threads like this. In some countries kids leave the house at fourteen. You should consider yourself thankful that you aren't plunged into the real world any sooner.

I could also go on to say that it's part of the development process. Think about it like this ... If you move out at twenty and your brain is even closer to being fully developed (though I'd argue that it should be fully developed a lot earlier than that) then you're less likely to adapt to the sudden change a phenomena I like to call "real-world-itis". At eighteen you're still learning, still adapting. You're more inclined to accept change.

So all in all, eighteen is a pretty good age for stepping out into the real world. If you wait too long you might not be able to cope with the change. If you go to early it can be too stressful on you. Eighteen is middle ground and I'd argue it's the best age to be considered an adult. By then you should be waking up and smelling the roses. Take one last big sniff because life is full of thorns you have to get past to reach your goals.

Quotes are like a bucket full of seeds. You plant the seeds and sometimes you're surprised at what they can grow.

Figure out that analogy for bonus points.
