I know me. If I met my eight year old self, I would troll his ass because I just don't like little kids. I'll tell him that a zombies took over the world during my high school years, so he needed to quite school and prepare for the worst. Poor, unsuspecting bastard.
In the great words of Yatzee: "well, it's like my right hand on Sunday night," I say "Why's that," you ask. "IT BEATS THE FUCK OUT OF ME!"
News is news. As long as you get the information out there, it's okay to be a little late.
It hasn't even been a full month since the release of Dream Drop Distance. Give SE some time.
That's really looked at in the later books. In the first one, he's just a random friend with no purpose to the story.
To those who don't know what I am referring to as the Big Three in anime/manga, it is Bleach, Naruto, and One Piece, all owned by Shonen Jump. They are probably the most well known names in the industry, and even non-fans know enough about each show. They have also spanned a number of years, lasting hundreds of chapters (Bleach being the youngest, and I believe, the shortest out of the three) I basically have two questions around the Big Three: 1. Why do you think these three have become so big in the industry. Does it have anything to do with the fact that they are all shonen manga? 2. If you are a fan of any of the three series, which is it and why? This is not a "which series is better" question, so please don't see this as a reason to attack a series you do not like.
Okay. And to add to my whole "this story is used before" discussion, I thought if another example: Future Diary (Mirai Nikki). The concept was used very well, in my opinion, and showed that it didn't have to involve any kind of dystopian world or government.
Got a nomination and a vote? ...and voted saxi...
I go behind people and whisper "I'm Batman". I can't get "Hey Mickey" out of my head.
Agreed, which is why Facebook gives me such a headache right now, if only they visited snopes. I do find it funny that with most people, they're always more vocal about who they are not voting for.
The idea of forcing people to fight against each other isn't really something that's uncommon in literature. Now, I've read about half of Battle Royale and have seen some similarities between the two, but that's just because they share the same idea. However the two ate completely different in tone, pacing, and even story telling. It's like saying that J.K. Rowing is completely ripping off C.S. Lewis because they're both stories about magic.
In a way, yeah, but it's also the taste of it that also relaxes me.
I grew up on Coke, and I'll always pick it over Pepsi; however, I really like how much sweeter Pepsi is than Coke. Coke just gives me a good, relaxing feeling though.
My favorite is Coke, but Pepsi tastes better.

Eve quickly got bored with the sight after finishing her meal. She guzzled down the remaining broth thst was in the cup and tossed it into the trash can. While leaving the room, she bumped into Kenji. "sorry," Kenji said, afraid of offending the girl. Eve just continued to log on. "Kenji, my boy," Luxord called out, a quick oust to get away from Larxene's awful drama, "your evening has been more fairer than others, I can safely gamble?" "Yeah," Kenji answered. Kenji took a quick examination across the room. He was always one who was last to be filled in on situations.
Looks good.
Luxord entered the kitchen, late to the action. By now, Eve was heating up water for some quick, instant ramen, while Kenji seemed to be nowhere in sight. He was perplexed at what had happened out of his sight, and was surprised to see such a strong and furious fighter lying on the floor. "Even the best card sharks take a loss every once in a while," Luxord commented, as he observed Larxene.
How one person translates something will always be different from another. FUNimation has the rights to the One Piece anime if I remember correctly. Try their site. They should have a backlog of all the episodes, subbed and dubbed (I don't know for sure since I don't watch One Piece). They even simulcast all of the new episodes from Japan. Since FUNi is a big name company for anime, I'm sure their subs are fairly accurate. Plus, it helps support the official release.
