A bit stingy with your cash, you ask the maiden if she could reconsider the pricing.
"Sorry pal, my prices are final. Take it or leave it." Hoping to negotiate once more you try and see if you can bring the price down to 200 silver. She insists that she won't budge her prices down for you. Normally you'd pay for it after the second no, but she looked to be a reasonable young lady. Attempting to do so one more time, you explain why you need the price to be dropped and see if she will change her mind. "Oh, I see..." You sigh and smile with relief. you have finally gotten through to her.
"You think you can just walk into town, find a naive saleswoman and get a cheap bargain? That's just pathetic." Your smile fades, realizing she was not headed in the mindset you were hoping for. "Depending on what you say next, I can either break this sword or fix it." She holds in front of you, a strong and powerful hammer over your father's blade. You can't help but notice that people have already started to stare into your direction. You were attracting more attention then you wanted to...
Mentally defeated you poor the full price from your pouch onto the table and say you'll pick it up later. You just needed to get out of there and away from the marketplace...
You now have time to spend until your sword is prepared. You figure you should visit his majesty to find out what needs to be done, but at the same time, part of you wants to see what became of your old home. There was a childhood friend at each destination that you both owed an explanation to.

Now on his keyglider, Krowley raced into the skies. He held onto the vehicle firmly with little intention of letting go. Thankfully, his helmet kept any possible wind away from his face while he was zooming around. His first objective was to protect the denizens rather than to see how many heartless he could destroy. Base had already gotten a head start on clearing the aerial field allowing him to swoop in to add to the clean up. Seeing as how poor Dumbo's eyes were still folded shut by his ears, Timothy was struggling to keep it that way until the keybladers were done. Last time he was embarrassed and frightened, a swarm of heartless showed up, and soon after those bizarre pink elephants. Who know what would appear if he saw these sights.

Focusing back on the battle, Krowley could rely on most of his blizzard magic, seeing as how he had a suitable strategy on how to knock down the numbers. Base had Thunder magic, which was powerful against airborne enemies, and Shapur had a great amount of power to assist him. Krowley had a mixture of the 2 styles of fighting.with tthat in mind, he locked on to his first target; an aeroplane that was circling Dumbo and Timothy. "Blizzard!" A shot of ice was fired into the heartless' jet engine, causing it to rock back and forth as if it was hit by an enemy plane. Being just that, Krowley flew in on his glider to knock the heartless out of the sky. He watched as it went into a downword spiral and evaporated once it hit the stadium floor.

Next, was an air soldier, same tactic, but easier to take down. With the heartless being held by the wings on his backside, the fragile flappers could be stopped with ease, making it fall fast than the aeroplane. With the same approach, Krowley circled around and cast another shot of ice. "Blizzard!" The frozen projectile hit the heartless on his left wing, freezing it and having it keep afloat by just the one flapping wing.Taking this to his advantage, he raced back toward the flying creature and shattered the frozen wing. The heartless was still just barely keeping afloat, but Krowley wanted to conserve his magic. He flew in for a few swerving hits before the heartless de-materialized. He kept at a routine pace, surrounding Dumbo to fend off any more threts that came flying by.

Krowley gained 20 EXP!

Many of the barflies eyed the party's table with great suspicion. As the group was now, they couldn't do anything that involved being found out. They were far too outnumbered for that. What they needed, was some sort of diversion, so they could apprehend the peg legged bat in private and see what he knows. At this time, he was just chugging down a pint of ale at the bar. He didn't seem to notice them, but Basil was never one to judge books by their cover. As the detective gazed around the room, one thing he could not ignore was the attendants that smelled of booze, smoke, and other disgusting sewer related smells. They were playing cards, joking around, and one was even puking in the corner. He knew what a rowdy establishment like this was missing, and was prepared to start it if he had to.

He began by first putting out his cigarette onto the already filled ashtray and threw it as hard as he could at the largest gentlemen he could spot. The small round object broke against the buff rat's forehead, having him turn around to show a shaggy fur face with an eye patch over his right eye.
Acting as if he was an innocent bystander, he pointed to the gentlemen behind him with his thumb and spoke out in a very gruff tone. "''E did it."
The intoxicated mouse overheard him and turned around in confusion. "Whadadoo?" His worms spewed from his mouth like word vomit. The large rat was not amused an gave the drunk mouse a swift uppercut.
It was at that moment, where the music stopped and several of the drunk customers stood out of their chairs. There was only a second of silence before a mouse yelled out; "Bar Fight!" Like a wave of fur, the mice, rats, and other swere creatures jumped into a mess of fighting. Punches were being thrown left and right, bottles broken, darts thrown, and even a few tables broke.
Basil calmly ducked everyones' heads down and signaled for Eon to sneak in so they could get closer to Fidget.

"Twice in one week. Most irregular." Mr. Blood was shown examining the profiles of the incarcerated students. He took great interest in each individual's file, staring closely with his dark crimson eyes. Madame Lumia sat anxiously in the seat across from him, unsure of his tactic in further punishment. When wlaking into his office, she had already been expected and upon arrival, he was already reviewing the students that were called out tot eh white room. Hoping to defend them, she spoke out. "The students were demonstrating their own self expression. Something that is clearly-"

"Madame please, you are worrying too much." The Blood that students feared was from his change in tone. Currently, he was speaking in a very calm and understanding matter, showing little to no signs of being upset. he fear he created was drawn from uncertainty. You never knew when he was going to become serious and deal a very harsh punishment. "You're students were not detained for expression, but for disobeying a clear by-law involving use of their powers and abilities. Just a slap on the wrist, really." He smiled kindly with his hands folded on his desk. "The students will be let out once they have payed their time in detention." Lumia glared through his fake smile was in no mood of beating around the bush.
"Oh, Cut the crap!" She stood up from her chair, infuriated from the lack of truth in his voice. "What are you hiding? What are you planning to do?" Her eyes were now directly matched with his. "Colette, I speak truthfully here in that it was a minor offense that-"
"In the twelve years I've taught here, there has never been 'just a slap on the wrist.. You have always dealt severe punishment to those who go past the line. What's changed?" The way she was speaking, it sounded like she wanted them to receive further punishment. All in all, she needed to see his work behind this conclusion. The facility barely ever drew a blind eye.

Folding the student files neatly, he stood up and walked over to the left wall of his office. There, stood several of his certificates in education, a few self portraits, and the school's logo. The object that he attended to was the school's logo, depicting the seven letters in "Strange."
"Do you know why we divide the students?" he asked, ignoring her previous question. She did the same, and simply stood silent as her response. "It's to isolate each class' aspect and train them more proficiently. It has worked well enough since the beginning of the school's foundation and continues to be it's defining trait." he answered.
Lumia was baffled and growing frustrated. He was ignoring her and continuing to go on about the school's foundation and caused.
"Year after year, they become more and more restless, eagerly wishing to escape into the unknown. But the unknown is a very harsh world, filled with confusion and misunderstanding. It is our duty-"
"I know the system, dammit! But what's changed!" She blurted out.

Blood calmly turned around to face the enraged woman and walked back up to her. "That's just it. Punishing them only fuels their spirits. A light slap dampens their rebellion and eventually calms them into routine. I have been told my tactics are... intimidating and are one of the reason's for this academy's attempted break outs."
She began to back away by a few centimeters, anticipating him. He mimicked her, by walking forward and placing a hand on her shoulder. "This year, I want them to be different. To want to be here instead of feeling forced. I'm trying to nurture their minds, not scar." He let out a reassuring smile. That only made her more afraid. This man was behind most all of the previous reformattings and all of a sudden, he cares for the students he cages? something was off. Everything from his calm voice, to his glowing pupils. She stared him down, knowing that he couldn't break her. "We both know that won't work with me..." she replied.
Taking his hand off her shoulder, he strutted back towards his desk, unaffected by her signs of hostility. "Believe what you will Colette, but I assure you my motive is genuine. I do what i do for the children." He sat back down and put away the folders into the second drawer of his desk, right above "Lex" and "Lance."

"Now if there's nothing else, I have some exam schedule's I need to prepare. The future is quite important to them." He pulled out a clipboard and began checking off columns, sending off the teacher with his hand.
Scorned, she began to walk out, defeated in her own way. But there was something she refused to leave without knowing. "Arthur didn't take to this, I take it." She would rather not know, but it wasn't about what she wanted. Since his small unscheduled history lesson the day prior, no one had seen or heard from him.
"Sadly, Mr. Daniels wasn't a strong believer in this institution's goal. He couldn't see the greater picture and unfortunately had to be let go. A sad sight it is, to see an educator walk out from opinionated differences." He revealed this all while refusing to take his eyes off the page. It was only to ask a final question did his eyes look back to her. "Do you share that opinion?"
Fearful for the retired teacher as well as her own, she replied with one of the hardest answers she had to give. "I just want to teach..."
"And a fine job you do of that." His eyes returned back to his spreadsheet. On her way out, he hummed a little tune until she was out of the room. Once she left, it was revealed that the sheet he was filling out, contained the names of the detention sent children. "Most Irregular..."

5:35 PM

At this time, most of the students had already been relieved of class and the detained students were sent back to their room. On the first floor's C-Hall, Coach Kreuger was sitting on the bench outside room 124. Being the facility's athletics instructor, he was very active and the only teach to casually wear shorts. He was laid back enough and had a certain likeability to his attitude.
Tapping his sneaker impatiently against the floor, he quickly rose at the sight of Lumia walking his way. "Hey, I thought you were gonna be a know show. I mean, I've been waiting since like three, and-"
Not stopping, she quickly handed him the sheet. "There's tomorrow's schedule." She was in no mood for idle chit chat. too much was on her mind. She left the man speechless for a few seconds, having him watch as she left him with the sheet log.
"...Okay! Seeya tomorrow Honeybuns!" He had no romantic affiliation with her, but he did like to flirt with her regularly. His smirked directed from her marching off, to the sheet she handed to him. It contained the log information for his class tomorrow along with a few performance evaluation forms. He sighed, but sat down to finish them quickly so it would be less of a hassle tomorrow. By the time he finished grazing past each name, he made his way to the bottom of the second page, which had a circled jumble of numbers.

20-9-13-5 9-19 18-21-14-14-9-14-7 15-21-20

Hoping it to be some sort of love code, he used the letter to number conversion process. A was one, B was two, and with that thought process, he quickly jotted down the code mentally. It spelled the following out to him;

T-I-M-E I-S R-U-N-N-I-N-G O-U-T
Giving off a gravely serious expression, he erased the numbers from the sheet, and walked off towards the faculty quarters...

The young woman introduces herself as Anna and asks if you you are interested in a new sword. Appreciative but declining, you instead ask if she could repair a sword for you. You claim it has great value to you and will pay whatever the cost. Gently handing the worn out sword to the girl, you ask how much the repair will cost. Accepting the heavy blade with ease, she analyzes it with intrigue and cautiousness.
"This thing's pretty worn out. When's the last time you got this repaired?"
Embarrassed that you you never have, you decided to stay quiet. Over the span of 10 years, that sword has only been used for the most deadly of battles, which now that you think about it, has accumulated to a pretty big sum.
"Well, whatever the case, renovations to this bad boy will cost an even 250 Silver."
Your eyebrows raise in astonishment. "It's very pricey, I know. But when you look at the damage done here, it's only a few swings away from breaking." Staring at the worn blade with a heavy heart, you cave into to the merchant's price. And so, in reaching off to the side of your belt, you open your money pouch to break out your preciously earned coin. With a quick count, you're traveling balance is 263 silver and 10 copper. You make his way through the town's market complex. Not a lot had changed since your last visit over 10 years ago. You are now in your young 20s, and eager to see what his majesty has in store for you. Living as a mercenary, a king would grant you a high price for such an urgent matter. But alas, this situation was different. The king of Celeste was the father of your best friend, and the best friend of your father. He was as close to an uncle as you could remember.
Strolling down the wave of people, a woman calls out to you.
"Hey, you with the blue hair!"
You turn your head to find the young woman waving her hands at you. "Your sword's pretty bent outta shape! Wanna buy a new one?" Not the mentioned it, your sword was very rusted from your previous encounters. But this was your fallen father's sword. No amount of money could replace a sentimental thing like that.
You walk over to the merchant to see if she can at least fix it for you. With each step closer, the woman seems rather short, and couldn't be older than her late teens.

For some reason, a little of Children story ideas have popped into my mind now and again. The only writing project I have on this site is
The NightWalkers, and I really should update that eventually...
Another small project is Kismet, which works like those "Choose your own adventure" stories that Jayn and What? post in the Fun and Games section. It was meant to be in the Writer's Nook as it is a pretty long story in mind, but I think this is the more suitable route.

When I recall the events from the first game, the most nostalgic scene to me, is near the end of the game. Th Billy Zane cut in particular. A lot of the first game is pretty memorable for me, namely the riku battles, but the ending scenes were what ended it off nicely enough to warrant the sequels that followed.

Ansem: It is futile. The Keyblade alone cannot seal the door to darkness. Kingdom Hearts! Fill me with the power of darkness...

Base waved the hazy fog out of his breathing space, "How exactly am I your brother?" he asked. "My most sincere apologies my dear fellow. I didn't mean to make a fuss. Just a way I like to greet some new friends is all!" The crow smiled and gave a small wink. He seamed friendly enough as to not trying to stop are prolong their efforts. He was just another relaxed denizen of this world.
The party looked high above at the sleeping duo. "...How did he get up there?" Shapur asked. A good question that was. How did an elephant and mouse end up atop a high tightrope pole? The last they saw dumbo, who was positively zombified in his own illusions of the pink elephants jumping everywhere. Just knowing that the incident wasn't very long ago made Krowley twinge. "We have to get him down from there, I thank you, friend. May we know your name?" Shapur continued on. He took one quick puff before replying. "Name's Jim Crow, friend. And it is most delightful to make your acquaintance." Removing the bowler hat from the top of his head, he gave a respectful bow. At least he has some class, he thought to himself. "Pleasure," Krowley replied. e looked back up at the Dumbo's high location which seemed further and further away each time he looked up. Logically, he would suggest flying up there on the keyblade glider, but he didn't want to take the risk. Of course, this was a circus, and Jim didn't seem to mind a lot of things he'd seen. Thankfully, he didn't have to decide. "So you want I should wake those fellas up? They could be dead! Of course dead people don't snore... Or do they?" Jim Crow was now on a train of thought that was probably better left derailed. "We would a appreciate that a lot actually."
"Okay boys, leave it to me!" Putting out his cigar butt, he spread his wings and took flight. Higher and higher he went, eventually reaching the sprawled elephant and his mouse companion. Landing, he zoomed on their faces with intrigue. Using his winged feathers like fingers, he poked the little mouse first. Timothy startled at the poke and immediately awoke. He rubbed his eyes in disbelief, as if he'd been sleeping the entire time. "Ooh! Those Pink elephants."
"Pink Elephants! Well hear him talk! Hahaha!" Jim Crow let loose a wild holler of a laugh.

"Yeah, haha..." Krowley added. Even hearing some one else say it didn't make it any less baffling. Timothy blinked his eyes repeatedly, attempting to make heads or tails of the situation. "What's so funny? Ah, just go on and fly up a tree where you belong..." Jim Crow looked back down and shrugged at the party. He then went back to the mouse, who was dozing off again. "Uh, say, look here brother rat-"
Timothy stood to his feet in disapproval. "Brother Rat?! I ain't your brother and I ain't no rat, see?!" He seemed to be as uncomfortable as Base was, when he asked the question. "Uh-huh... And I suppose you and no elephant ain't up in no high wire either?"

"No! No me and no elephant ain't up in no-" Timothy took a frightened pause. "Highwire?" He tilted his head down to find the even more miniscule group of keybladers.
"D-D-Dumbo! Wake up! Wake up Dumbo!" The dazed elephant slowly lifted his eyelids. He was calm, and no longer had an entranced look on his face. He just looked like a child waking up from a nap.

[IMG][IMG][IMG]

This was all ruined when a flying heartless appeared only a meter away from his face. Timothy, fearing the elephant might panic and fall, quickly closed shielded Dumbo's eyes with his ears. "Sleep! go to sleep Dumbo!" Jim Crow, too, jumped up in surprise at the group of heartless air soldiers and aeroplanes. "Now what kind of act are these fellas in?" One of the aeroplanes attempted to swipe at him. Thankfully, the crow ducked just in time. "Hey now, what kind of a crazy greetin' is that?!"
Though they were small, the scene of heartless emerging, could be seen from below. "Heartless!" Krowley cried out. He manifested his keyblade into a glider and took off without a second thought.

~MISSION START~ IV. High Wire Frenzy

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Do you want one of us to wait out here while you get ready, Dr. Dawson?" Aden asked. "This place looks unpleasant, and if Ratigan's henchmen frequent it, then it's sure to be plenty more dangerous." At this time, the Doctor had just finished putting on his disguise with a sour look on his face. "No no, that's quite alright lad. Olivia was my responsibility, and therefore, I must follow Basil in his pursuit..." Sucking in his gut, he swung open the doors and followed alongside basil, trying to seem as menacing as a short and stout mouse could. The group found a table to station themselves at until they could spot Fidget, which hopefully wouldn't be long now.

In the outer rim of the establishment, Ratigan now had both Flavershams at his disposal. Olivia was held captive in a human sized bottle, while her father was hard at work, being blackmailed into finishing. With the girl, Ratigan could "motivate" the toymaker to finish more quickly, and finish his part in the rat's scheme. "Let me out! Let me out" Olivia cried. "My dear, please, your father is trying to work, and to be frank, you are beginning to irritate me." His emphasis one the word irritate screeched in a loud force. As if he was holding back a large amount of rage. Fidget was standing with Ratigan, reviewing over their plans. "All ready boss!" His scruff voice declared. "Hmm, hmm, hmm... Excellent. Once the device is complete, we can set off and put our plan into motion and-"
"No you won't!" Olivia interjected. "Basil will stop you, just like he always does!"
Ratigan paused and played along to humor her, "Oh no, Fidget! Not Basil! He's going to stop us!"
"Hehehe! Yeah, he gonna stop us again! Just like he always does! Then he gonna take us to jail, hehe. then he gonna come to jail and gloat and-" Annoyed, Ratigan covered Fidget's overactive mouth with his spare hand. "I wouldn't count on our friend Basil. You see, I've taken into account his actions, and will be sure to put an IMMEDIATE stop to them. Hmmm hmmm, yes..." the rat revealed an evil grin, causing the girl to shrink into her coat from uncertainty.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A noise was heard from the opposing side of the door to Cinderella's room. "Uh-oh! Some one coming! Get down, get down!" Jaq urged. The party hid as instructed, whereas Cinderella was the one to enter the room. Watching from the floorboards, they saw walk straight up to the window sill, exhausted from another hard day's work. "Oh, well... What's a royal ball? After all, I suppose it would be frightfully dull and boring...and completely...completely wonderful." Sighing, the young woman stared at the castle, thinking of all the fantasy and wonder she would have on such a night. "Cinderelly!" Jaq yelled out. She turned around to find the group of four, stationed below, smiling as they opened the partition to reveal her newly finished dress. "Is... Is that my dress?" she asked, stunned. Is that my dress?"
"Yup! Now Cinderelly can go to the ball! Meet and dance with prince!"
"Why, it's...it's such a surprise..." All day long, she had been working, and came back to find her dream dress. She was almost in tears at how thankful she was. "Hurry! Time to go, Cinderella!"
"Oh, thank you... Thank all of you!" She revealed a big smile, extending to the very corners of her cheeks.
"Nadda be thankful fo'. Thasa what friends do" He turned to the group, to commandeer them to the next line of business. "Lesa go find Runa, so Cinderelly can change for the big ball!" Giddy as Cinderella was, he pushed all the keybladers through the mouse ole, shortly following them.
Once they had left, Cinderella simply stood for a moment and hugged her finished dress, feeling so warm and good inside.

From the inner walls, Jaq proceeded to bounce around the mansion's innards. "I hope Cinderelly's dream comes true.. You guys gotta dream?" he asked to pass time.

I actually recently watched a review on one of their songs, and he made a pretty valid point on what makes them unappealing. My distaste for them are summed up here.
Also, whenever that "You don't know you're beautiful" song plays, I keep thinking it's going to transition into "Summer Nights" from Grease... Not a reason that I dislike them, just another thing that bothers me about them.

As noble as their efforts were, the net would not budge. The strong material was too constricted for the tiny mouse hands and teeth. Unfortunately, only human sized hands could untie the net, but seeing as how fang was unarmed at gunpoint, the party was in very deep distress.
"It looks like Lady luck has finally decided to smile on me. Everything's going my way..." McLeach let loose an evil grin to at the discontented woman.
"Just like a man. Give him a gun, and he thinks he's a god."
"You only only brought this on yourself little missy. Ain't my fault you grew a conscience." Fang's teeth clenched at the mention of the poacher calling her 'missy.' She was running out of options. The only thing working in her favor was the man's constant gloating. "So what's it gonna be woman? The gun or the gators?" He tilted his gun below, to where the river was rushing violently. They were over a hundred feet high, easy, and one of the gaters was seen shewing on Fang's Lance. It was made of a very strong alloy, stronger than the net in fact. As a capable and potent fighter, she could rip it from the creatures jaws. First thing she had to do was get away from McLeach. This also meant she had to temporarily leave the entrapped boy and eagle. Looking down over the edge, she carefully examined the rocks before replying.
"Give me a minute." With a quick smirk, she jumped off the cliff, diving foot-first and leaping around the unstable cliff side.
"Why you little!" McLeach let out a gunshot. His eyes tried to follow her movement, but he was at an inappropriate angle. Naturally, he would have forgotten her, but if she escaped and got a hold of the local authorities, he would be imprisoned for poaching and kidnapping. "You ain't gettin' away from me that easy, sister..." Stalking the cliff side, he went around to try and get a better shot. "I'll be back for you my little goldmine, hehe." Since he was without fang's aerobic ability, he was struggling to get down south. He eventually took the trail to avoid further struggle. From off screen, he yelled out an order to his pet goanna. "Joanna! Make sure they don't move!"
The slithering reptile chuckled and mocked the net from afar. The eagle screeched in rebuttal, still trying to escape. "It's okay girl," Cody comforted. "We'll get out of here, the other mice will help us!" Jake joined in on trying to tame the large bird. "Yeah, if anyone can help us, it's the newbies!" Jumping onto Cody's shoulder he quickly added "Nice bluff, kid..."
Having her small attention span, Joanna had spotted the party and licked her mouth with her insatiably long tongue. Just before she crept too close, she suddenly ran off in fear, yelling very muffled and distorted croaks. She slithered back into the truck and used her claw to press the lock. It turns out that the heartless from earlier had returned. All this time, they were feeding off the mother's love for her eggs and slowly trailing her to the nest.
"Watch your back mates!" Jake cried out.

The entire party had now made their way back to Cinderlla's room. After all the trouble in getting materials, they had frightened off the cat and were ready to see the finished results of their labor. "Rassa big thanks!" Jaq announced. Using his tiny mouse hands, he pushed one of the boards from the foldable dressing room to reveal her finished dress. It was very lovely pink florescent dress. Complimenting the color, was a layer of white underneath and was also a base for the shoulder straps. Along the bottom and at the chest, pink bows were tied. And finally, though it couldn't be seen by their viewpoint, the white buttons were used at the back of the dress to close it up. The materials they had collected were represented beautifully before them along the candle sill.

"Cinderelly gonna love it!" Jaq exclaimed. "Etree, Kelkel, Runa and Steer are good friends!" He smiled and sighed, exhausted by the fruits of his own labor. One mouse putting together a giant dress had knocked most of the wind out of him.

~MISSION COMPLETE~

After the speedy ride, Dawson felt rather light-headed. He began to stagger back and forth, only to trip over himself and fall on his belly. "Oh come now Dawson, it wasn't-" Basil paused a moment and covered his mouth with his fist, as if trying to prevent an upchuck. "That bad..." Helping the poor Doctor up, the 5 of them stood in the shadows of the pub. Along the sewer gate that went into the river, there was a small wooden ship for a door that read; "Rat Trap." Which ironically enough, was the name of the bar. "Somewhere behind that door is Fidget. We find him, we find Ratigan."
"Y-yes. But uh, aren't we a little overdressed for such a low classed establishment?" Basil gave a light chuckle. "Oh honestly Dawson, it's like you think I'm new at this." Basil took off his coat and reversed it, revealing a sailor captain's attire. The same with his deer hunting cap. Very odd how he had it abruptly prepared like that, but it was definitely a time saver. "And a little something for the doctor," Basil reached into the reversed side pocket and took out a small red and white striped shirt, along with a first mate's cap. "This will do perfectly." he smiled, lighting a cigarette to complete his image.

"Perfect?! Perfectly ridiculous! If this is my attire, I'd hate to see what you plan on making them wear." Dawson was not one to complain, but he truly disliked the ruffian outfit. Being in the Queen's regiment gave him a sense of duty and dignity that Basil seemed to have knocked out him since their meeting.
"Oh, I don't have anything for the lads. Only so much pocket room." Basil patted his pockets to show that he had no other cloths to share. "Besides, they're clothes are already ridiculous," he laughed as he nudged Dawson. "Join as when you're ready Dawson. Hope the clothes fit!" Basil lifted his sailor color and proceeded to enter the bar, motioning with his head for the rest to follow.
"I-I shall do no such thing! Basil! Basil!-" The detective had already entered the place, leaving Dawson, alone, outside to pout in disgust at the clothes he was given.
"Perfectly ridiculous..."

"I am far from a duck, my brother," the crow exclaimed. He stopped pecking at the circus's floor popcorn to peer up at the small figures addressing him.
"Well, looky here, looky here. Why this is most irregular." The crow in question, wore a studded blue vest, that came with a striped pink shirt underneath. On his head, he had a small brown bowler hat, with a cigar equipped in his left hand hand. The cigar was most likely, also discarded by some one from the audience. Flapping his wings to get closer to their level, he ended up blowing them back into the tent. Base, Krowley, and Shapur were swept back into the tent just as they had reached the peek of the barrel. Still upbeat, the crow tilted his head in awe. "Now I've seen a lot of things, but small humans are definitely a first." He smiled and patted the group on their backs with his wing. "Haha, welcome to the circus, my brothers! What's your act?"

As overwhelmingly eccentric as he was, he could use this crow to their advantage. He sounded like he had been very experienced in the layout of the circus. With his help, the small elephant should be found in no time. "Well, we don't have, but if we could just ask if you've seen a few friends we've lost... See the first on is a baby elephant-"
"This little elephant got big ears? Like a wingspan?"
"Uhh- Yeah." As mean as it was to point out, it was a very key feature. "He got a little hat with a circus mouse in it?" Once again, Krowley was left astounded. "Yeah that's pretty much the key description."
"That them?" The smooth talking crow pointed to the top of a tight rope where dumbo was lying on his back, sleeping, along with Timothy.
"Dumbo!" he called out.
"How they got a bitty little elephant up there, I will never know. Kind of a weird act if you ask me."
Krowley looked back at the crow. "Why didn't you help him out?!" Krowley persisted
"Like a said, thought it was an act." He stopped to take a quick puff of the cigar. "Just the other day, I done seen a man swallow ten swords!"

Like where in the skeleton do you start; the name, back story, personality or someplace else?
Do they come easy or does it take some time to think of something?

When creating a character, their backstory is the first thing that comes to mind. Once I have a character's origins, his personality and appearance slowly follow. Both are affect from the character's lifestyle. The name is always the last thing I work on. I'm not great with names, and I try to pick something that makes the character unique as well as reflect them.

Do you have pretty much everything about them laid out from the start or do things come to mind as you go?

Depending on the theme or story of the roleplay, my character's appearance and personality may very. For the sake of character development, I may put things in reserve for an opportune moment later on down the road, but I usually make a quick basis and will alter anything that needs to be fixed to suit the fictional world. One thing I always take too much time on is an appearance for the character. I'm like this way with MMOs as well, trying to find a perfect character face to fit my character's description.

Also wondering what things you like to see in the skeleton and what things you don't like seeing.

I'm not a big fan of the "Biography" tag. I do love character development, but I wish for most characters to start off meeting each other on a blank slate. Reactions and reveals are very good plot movers and develop no only the character, but to those affected around them. Gender tag might seem a bit useless if you have a character portrait and name. In fact, maybe it's really A girl passing herself off as a man, but if that tag is there, it kind of conflicts the character creation process.

"Tag them, and move out," the commander instructed. With each officer vigorously holding the students' wrists, they proceeded to bring them to the room's exit. With the Rendium's exposure, most of the class had grown lightheaded from the mere light that was shown in the distance. Lex needed to blink several times just to return his peripheral vision. Everything happened in such a short time span. What began as self expression, quickly turned into detainment. It was almost as if he was still watching a performance, and the scene had just taken a very abrupt turn. The scene with the thought police coming in and arresting students for expressing their individuality in a most befitting matter. He almost wished it were just all an act though. In his few years attending the facility, moments like this happened every other week, finding itself more occasional to happen on important exam weeks. What really surprised him, was why HE started the trend for this year's exams. To just openly call out and question everything they were told not to worry about, was very out of character for him. But now, as he watched the other classmates being detained, he couldn't help but sympathize. Yes, he saw this on a constant basis, and yes, there was fear to be taken away and not knowing your punishment, and yet his humanity couldn't help it. As much as he blended in beforehand, he had made himself stand out just as the subjugated students before him had done today.

He sat idly by in his seat, watching the 6 students being escorted off. Frida was out first, very weakened from a close range encounter. Samuel and Alice followed, both being brought out by 2 more summoned troopers, each restraining their hands and keeping a close range to their side belt, should another exposured dose need to be administered. Nix and Aiden were next, proving to be the most physically adept, but also the more strain to overwhelm. And finally, Anya was escorted carefully from her recently healed state. From her gruesome performance, she left a large pool of blood on the stage and was lucky that most of her healing was complete before they let loose the green rock. He looked onto them with a very neutral, yet understanding expression. He didn't really know how to react, just that it all felt wrong. Were they really this dangerous? Lately, school felt more and more like a prison then a safe haven. Thinking out of line got you in trouble. Demonstrating your unique ability got you in trouble. The only thing to keep you afloat in this odd world was to subdue your power and save it for when the administration deemed it acceptable. Everything felt like more of a strain then actually knowing the harsh reality that lied beyond the school walls. Getting the white room was the most lenient and bearable punishment, where as rehabilitation treatment was downright scary. Students that had been registered for a complete attitude adjustment came back as obedient and emotionless citizens. Just that morning he had seen Edward, the R-Class student who was called down for his acidic vandalism the first day of exams. Edward, who was known for his punk rock appearance and butchering of the English language, on that morning was the complete opposite. It was only a passing on Lex's way to the Drama Studio, but something about his hollowed eyes and zombie-like complexion made him very uncomfortable. Nothing unique about him anymore. Albeit, it was a bit annoying to hear from him, but it was a major standout, one that was quickly remedied. He always suspected Blood's hand in most of the student's substantial transformations, but would never call him out on it. If not for his small stone lens technique from the previous day, Lex too could have just as easily ended up just like Edward. Slowly declining in his individuality.

With all six of the multi-classed students now out of the room, the classroom was silent for seconds, only interrupted by the 'End of day' bell. As with their initial reaction to any security force shown, they shoved it off and were just thankful that it was someone else instead of themselves being pulled out. Lex followed in the fashion of leaving, always philosophizing on his place in the world, along with that of the others. Graduation was something that often put him on edge. Everything put him on edge, but his fate after school is what made him uneasy. Uneasy. Not fearful. He couldn't afford to show fear...

Often being the last in his class to leave he grabbed his canvas and handed it to the distraught Lumia, still in disarray over not being able to defend her students. Calmly handing his final project to her, he was going to reluctantly walk out of the classroom, when the teacher spoke. "Peace amongst chaos." Lex paused and turned 125 degrees to face Madame Lumia. "I'm sorry?" he questioned.

"A rorschach image is a pinnacle psychiatric technique used to determine the mental process of the human brain. a maelstrom of possibility all residing in blotched ink, that when examined by a 5 year old, make no sense. A hand print is meant to symbolize peace and unity. Positivity, tolerance and hope through it, excluding no individual." Her facial expression remained the same during her explanation. She just stood their, analyzing his work while Lex listened to her explain his project better than he ever could. "I guess," he replied modestly. She looked up to him through her rose tinted glasses and gave off a weak, but genuine smile. "Good work." Placing his work on the ground, she left the classroom behind him and close the door, heading off in the direction of the main office. He couldn't help but watch until she was out of view. A woman walking towards an uncertain fate. She might as well be walking into a dark room.

Meanwhile, the enforcing guards had just arrived at the white room with all six students on hand. Handling without care, they simply shoved them into the room, like a prisoner into a cell. "Allotted time is 60 minutes. Any excess action will result in further detainment." Their commands were always blunt and to the point, making it seem like the security didn't even have emotion. Not bothering with any more idle time, they quickly sealed the door, and had two regulation postmen standing at the door.
