Nervanquasar. even as children he was such a buzzkilling pain. admittedly, you were pretty harsh on him, never allowing him to play with you and Gilbarn. He was aforementioned in the past as "The Nerve." you were such a jerk as a kid...

"Which can be discussed furing the next alliance meeting with the other nations. But for now i ask you, as a citizen and brother, to please save politics for a more suitable time." Gilbarn replied.

Nervanquasar was not amused. His brother's ignorance only made him sneer. "If you were not always worried about what the people think, these problems would be resolved. It's always a delay with you. Your next move is obvious, if you weren't so blinded by-"
"That is enough Nerve!" The King abruptly shouted. Only after the loud aftermath of his echo did he realize he called him by his childhood name. "I mean, Nervanquasar..." Only upsetting him, more, the somber prince angrily threw back his royal cape as he headed off towards the throne room exit. Captain Strato kept his palms firmly on his sword to block the exit. "Move dog..." he grunted with disrespect.
"Sorry, you're not my king." Strato teased.
"Captain, enough. Let my brother vacate and clear his mind."
"Would need an aeromancer to clear that much fog..." he mumbled as he moved. Before doing just that, Nerve looked back to Angelo, and then his brother. "I do hope the oncoming threat waits for a more suitable time as well. If not... well that doesn't look good on you, does it?" With those words, he left the room with no looking back, leaving the room silent until Gilbarn spoke again.

"Apologies for my brother. He has been... uneasy since the death of our father." You nod in confirmation and get to the point of why you were brought here.
"Ahh yes... Well as you just heard, the leaders of the the three great nations will meet for a summit to deal with issues that need to be brought to light. During this time, I cannot leave the country and as Captain of the Royal Guard, Strato cannot leave my side. Which is unfortunate for the task I wish to accomplish." It sounds important. Go on a life changing journey important. You continue to listen.
"As you are no doubt aware, a dark presence has begun to loom over the world."
You were not aware.
"I'm sure you must have been quite attentive with all the chatter going on in the kingdom."
You were not attentive.
"They say it is the return of the dark lord. Twenty years ago, my father faced that same threat. and with the recent anomalies in the kingdom, it is just as the scribes had written. Animals are fleeing, water is being contaminated, and now I hear there are spies in our midst. I have no one to trust in this land but Strato, and-."
Before he could continue, Strat was pushed from behind to show a young, beautiful woman. It was a perfect image with her hair flowing through the nonexistent wind and whatnot. It would have been a momentous moment had she not opened her mouth and screeched; "WHERE IS HE!?"

Yes, you had two friends growing up. The first was Gilbarn, Prince of the kingdom, and the second was this girl; born in the Khan kingdom, her family moved to Celeste when she was just an infant. When not in the castle, you and Gilbarn played with her in the village. You recall all the fights you lost against her, but you try to forget that you lost every single one... When you left without a word, she felt abandoned, but resumed her duties in keeping the family Item shop alive. She's stubborn and fairly strong for a girl of her small size.

Dumbo landed from his aerial flight safe and sound with Timothy babbling on and on about the most recent battle. "Did you see that! It was stupendous! Spectacular! That jugglin' garbage'll think twice before messin' with us again!" Unaware that the heartless had already evaporated, he began shaking his fists at the exit of the circus tent. "Ya hear that! That's what you get when you mess with the circus!" Twitching his nose, he waddled back to the elephant and patted the bottom of his front left foot. "Ya did good Dumbo. Ya mom would be proud!"

With the magical barrier taken away with the heartless, Relena and Jim Crow quickly came into the center of the stadium. The pitter patter of the young girl's dance shoes were heard around the acoustic increasing area. Runnig back up to the party, she knelt down to bring herself to their eye level. "Are you guys okay?"
Timothy tipped his nose high. "T'was nuthin'." Minutes ago, he was scared out of his little mouse mind, but being raised in the circus gave him a very accelerated sense of accomplishment. Once you could do something once, there was always a feeling of victory from then on knowing you could repeat it. Timothy was a prime example of this.

Relena sighed just knowing they were okay. she took her hand and began to pet dumbo above his head and just behind his small yellow hat. dumbo smiled in reply, wrapping his trunk around her wrist as she did so. Jim crow was watching from one of the bleachers he had roosted on. "Them boys is okay..." he quietly told himself. One thing to note about the circus, was that all the performers were like family towards one another. As a crow from the area the traveling circus had come to visit, he never really had that feeling of family. There were some other crows he would joke and tease around with, but lately he hadn't seen them. seeing dumbo, Timothy and Relena comfort and support each other made him think of his good friends and all the good times they had.

"The elehpant. He can fly?!" The Ringmaster had cowardly come out of from behind the bleachers where Jim crow was nesting. He couldn't understand the animals like Relena or the rest of the wielders, but he didn't have to hear what was going on. The spectacle he had just seen was enough amusement for him. He had completely forgotten about the heartless juggler and had his eyes fixated on his next attraction; Dumbo, the world's smallest flying elephant! With that money making idea in mind, he walked briskly towards the elephant. "You.. I'm a gonna make you a star in this business. I can a see it now!-" The ringmaster was holding his bald head in content with all the posters and fame that could come with an attraction like Dumbo. "Oh, so now you realize the kid's potential? Why I oughtta-" Before timothy could tell him off, Relena,s free hand stopped him in an effort to see if she could try and swindle the Ringmaster into giving Dumbo what he wanted from the start. "Ummm, Mr. Ringmaster sir? Dumbo has some trouble flying on command. He's not fully trained." Everyone seemed confused since Dumbo was doing just fine a while ago. "What are you talking about? The little pachyderm just a flew not so long ago." The ringmaster argued. "That's because he was thinking of his mother, sir. He'll only fly in front of people if his mom is there with him." Now the mouse was starting to understand. If Dumbo could only perform with his mother present, the circus would have to bring her back and reunite the two. "The baby won't perform without his mama?" he asked intrigued. "That's right sir."
"Well what are we waiting for? I need to fill out the forms, get her under strict anger management so she doesn't go cuckoo on the civilians, but if it's to get this little guy to fly, how can I say no?" There was sympathy in his voice, but dollar signs in his eyes. "Relena, come. As the caretaker for little dumbo, there are a lot of things I want to know. Is he a super strong?" He began to ask a bunch of questions regarding Dumbo's abilities as he walked out of the main tent with her. they left the party with dumbo, Timothy and Jim Crow who had accomplished what they were hoping for. A wide smile was spread from cheek to cheek on the little elephant's face,

Cinderella was indeed heart broken. With Jaq and the others attempting to make her feel better, it seemed nothing was doing the trick. she continue to bawl her eyes out and feel sorry for herself. Honestly, who could blame her? Life had thrown obstacle after obstacle in her hardship filled life. Her family was always using and abusing her and no matter how bright and vigilant she was, nothing was rewarding her. Only the small animals like Jaq were there supporting her. She began to mumble things like "It's just no use... No use at all," under her hesitant voice. Jaq looked at his distressed friend with concern. "I can't believe. Not anymore..."
As she went on, small sparkles began to surface around the courtyard, As if small shimmer were gathering in front of Cinderella to form a sentient form. Now, an echoing voice was being heard, coming closer. "Strength of heart is important, but that's not all you need." Cinderella kept her head down and repeated. "There's nothing left to believe in."

"Nothing, my dear? Oh, now, you don't really mean that. The glimmers and twinkles that were [popping up everywhere were now joining to make the form of a kind, rotund, elderly woman. She wore a hooded lavender cloak, covering most of her body, and a pink bow just below her neck. She appeared on the bench where Cinderella was crying which was now shown as the distraught woman crying on the mystery lady's lap. "Oh... but I do. It's just no use."

"Nonsense! If you'd lost all your faith, I couldn't be here, and here I am." She picked up Cinderella's face wither her tender hands so that she could see for her own eyes. "Oh, come now, dry those tears. You can't go to the ball looking like that." She now picked her up to get a better look at Cinderella. "the ball? Oh, but I'm not-" The old woman interrupted with her own agenda in mind. "Oh of course you are. But we'll have to hurry, because even miracles take a little time." The woman's words made no sense but she didn't have anything to lose. At this point, she could only gain. "Now what were those magic words again?..." Cinderella was now piecing together something she never thought she'd get to see. A kindly old woman speaking of magic and miracles was from a story her father told her when she was young. Something she'd always believed in, but never seen. "Does that mean you're my fairy-"
"Godmother? Yes," she smiled in reply. A fairy Godmother didn't at all seem likely, but the ability to piece herself from thin air was impressive to at least see what she had to offer."Ahh yes, now I remember." Taking her thumb and index fingers, she made a declining line in front of her, allowing a thin wand to form. "Looka what she did! How she do that?!" Jaq whispered back, astounded.

"Bibbidy-Bobbidy-Boo!" Sparks flew from the end of her wand towards a pumpkin from the nearby vegetable patch. The pumpkin twitched and turned on it's side, rolling across the clearing until it was in front of them. the pumpkin's stump grew vines and with a few more shots from her wand, the pumpkin enlarged and was reformed as a beautiful, white, horse-drawn carriage, complete with driver and horses. Cinderella stood amazed at the spectacle.She waved her wand once more to Cinderella which turned her pink rags into a beautiful ball gown.

Some gameplay from IGN. It's beautiful, and it cares so much about the little things. It is truly immersive and there's just something about how realistic the developer made everything, that has me in anticipation. It's like what The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct could have been if the people actually cared.
