Another one of those things that may have been misstepped or mistranslated.It could be argued that a friend of Aqua/Ventus is a friend of his, or that their hearts were connected or whatever. It's just one of those things that slide by. Example; Donald and Goofy are chocked to find out that Yen Sid lives in the Mysterious tower in Kingdom Hearts 2, when in Birth by Sleep, they were clearly seen there with Mickey during his training.
