I can see the train of thought, but I really don't think it was intended to be blackface.
FINALLYYYYYYYYYYYYY I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS MOMENT Interesting to note that Nomura says that Back Cover will only be an hour-long cinematic. Makes sense, though, as the plot in the game has only recently been really taking off. On the subject of Back Cover, it's worth it to note that the overlap between it and χ is going to be pretty sparse, as the Foretellers have only had a few key (heh) appearances in χ. (Back Cover also begs the question, now that I think about it, if there will be a "canonical" main χ character that belongs to a specific Union in the game.) TIME TO CHOOSE A UNION TO JOIN OH BOY (Also, just wanna say that the game's microtransactions only cover some exclusive cosmetic items afaik)

So it turns out what they meant by "never before seen TV footage" was the reveal trailer from the February Direct. Guess we'll have to wait for CoroCoro leaking to get news.
We already beat this to death in The Lounge. So I'm just leaving that link and this quote:

I DO I LOVE IT
The Jirachi event is live! No April Fools! You can partake in the event from the comfort of your home; Jirachi is being distributed worldwide through Nintendo Network. Just access Mystery Gift on your copy of X, Y, Omega Ruby, or Alpha Sapphire to download your gift from the internet.
Back Cover does follow the plot of χ [chi], just from a different perspective.
I wouldn't count on there being much Disney in Back Cover, as it follows the Foretellers; they likely didn't do a whole lot of exploring Disney worlds.
My Nintendo is now live, and Miitomo is available now on the App Store and the Play Store! - Some My Nintendo tips: Click the block at the bottom of the page to start a brief minigame that'll give you ten free Platinum Points. ...Y'know, since you bring up themes, the Gen I re-release hype has died by now; Charizard had a good run, but I need something new now...
Miss seeing you around, bro. :/
Does Aerith die?
Depends who you ask. According to some, all of them are reprehensible, horrific suppression of artistic integrity.
