OK, there, I did something just because. heh
I accuse TsuFortississississimogamusH just because it's the thing to do and I have a hunch that I'm wrong or right and that I like to die anyway early since too many people know my name.
I'd play if it wasn't for the fact people can guess my name and i'm the first to die every time. heh
substituting me? lol
If you never asked the girl out officially, as in to be your girlfriend, she is not cheating on you. Dates do not mean anything unless you actually declare you are both going out with one another, whether you are kissing, hugging etc or make out. When the date is over, so is anything else unless you both make it official. That's the way it works. There is no betrayal. From the girl's perspective, because you never did ask her out and you two on dates kissed but mostly hugged etc, she may even have thought you were just being experimental with her and not serious or ready to commit to a relationship so well, that's all she would do with you. Some people here are seeing her as some betrayer and scamp but in the end, both of the two people involved did not make motions to have a relationship. Therefore, she may even have her own view on it that he's just not serious about things and moved on. In the end, what I would do is maybe try to talk to her and say you do care about her and would like to go out with her. The worst you can be told is 'no' because it's too late and she's actually going out with that other guy. I'd accept it with grace because sadly, this is what can happen if you take too long to ask. Shyness sucks because it can make you wait too long. If I actually -kissed- a girl, yeah, I'd assume we had something going on too, but the one mistake you made here is that you didn't say what you assumed. It's a sad lesson to learn that you have to be clear. That way if she had gone and done this, then you really could say that she deceived you. I understand the feelings you have though and hope you will feel better. If you can't get with her, there are other girls out there and I'm sure sometime you'll meet someone and know exactly what to do next time. Sorry this isn't much of a help but I do hope things go better for you. Hang in there.
Stereotypes are lame. However, they are based off an instinct that some people abuse and let go farther than it was more than likely intended to go. How are they derived off instinct? Labeling in itself is normal for us to do and rather intuitive. We do base first impressions off those we meet to know whether we should talk to a person, ignore a person, think the person is interesting, assume the person could be dangerous, etc. Certainly, based on past experiences, we are going to react differently to someone who is dressed in a business suit with a glass of wine in his hand versus someone who's on the street wearing hip hop clothing or biker attire and has a beer in hand. We're going to react to seeing a soldier in full get up differently than someone who is wearing tye-dye and sprouts peace signs over their clothing, or to someone who is wearing skulls, black clothes and has a chagrined look about him or her. These first impressions we get are normal and well sometimes they may even just spare you a lot of pain if you avoid a person who looks like they are going to be trouble. i.e. Should you go out with the girl at the bar who is flirting with all of these guys and clearly looks like she's promiscuous if you are the type of guy that would like a real relationship with a girl? Probably not. You're more than likely to be hurt, even if she is eying you and you know you might be able to get laid. There are all sorts of instinctive reactions we get from first impressions. However, it is also important to realize that these first impressions can be tainted by prejudice, or former bad experiences. This is where stereotyping comes in and carries on. A first impression is what it is. You can never know a person inside and out based on it, so if this impression carries on even after you've dealt with the person, conversed etc, you are pretty much limiting yourself and also wasting another person's time. i.e. Some guy who happens to be black and wears hip hop clothing is likely to be more than just his clothes and attitude he puts forth at first meeting. He could like a variety of stuff that some people would consider to be not right for where they've at first classed him. What if the guy doesn't like rap so much and instead likes metal? What if he doesn't want a 'thug' life and steers clear of drugs and gang stuff and likes many of the things you happen to such as the same music, video games, etc? Clothes only make the person as far as the first impression goes. After that, they aren't so important. I'm Native American and dye my hair with red streaks and have piercings and such. I wear black a lot and often was put into stereotypes of being a metal head or goth. However, I also love hip hop, rap, goth music, metal, broadway musicals, some classic music, and music of all genres, though not really into country at all. I play video games and love sports and being outdoors in nature too. I like to dance and go out with friends and have fun and also like to read and do things alone. I can dress up formally or just be my regular relaxed self, wearing t-shirts and baggy pants with sandals or sneakers. High School was annoying for me because people used to constantly try to stereotype me to a group and yet had the damndest time of it. However, once I figured out that I could just be myself, talk to who I wanted and who would talk to me, I made friends with many people who were not of a 'clique' or even if they were, they'd still want to hang out because I was 'different' and yet I was amiable. In school or hell, sometimes out of school, people lay on what they 'expect' you to be. Expectations go hand in hand with stereotyping. That's another thing to learn that well, instinct can save you on first impressions, but placing expectations on others without knowing them is just wrong after that point. If the person is amiable and seems sincere, why should I think he or she's out to get me just based on their appearance? Why do I think that some guy dressed in Texan sort of attire is a biased **** head? Why do I think that the guy with clear eyes and yet dressed in metal clothes has to be a stoner? Why is the person who looks to be in emo clothing suddenly depressed and needs psyche help even though she's laughing and playing around? The only way to kill off some expectations on people is to really start getting to know people more than just by that first impression and to -ask- them who they really are. Stereotypes don't really permit that as you've already gone to the length to place the person in a group and that group has -rules- to its membership. Of course, having said all that, there are some people out there who really strive to fit into stereotypes. i.e. if someone is wearing a swastika and shaves his head bald and has 'white supremacy' written on his notebooks, I think we can safely assume he wants to be a skinhead through and through and that he's pretty prejudiced against anything other than the Aryans. Some girls and boys in school really do try to push belonging to stereotypes so strongly in order to fit in they call what others do as stupid etc. Even though in secrecy, they too may do the same things. For these sorts of people, image is very important because without it, could they fit in? So, some people, we may just never get a chance to know other than what they present forth, which is to be so much a part of a clique and stereotype that it makes stereotypes valid for others to use. So, yeah, there's my take on stereotypes and I do feel that they are a waste of time in the end and cause more harm than good. However, some people are going to keep perpetuating them and other people are going to see reasons why they should still exist because of those people. The best the rest of us can do is see them for what they are and just be ourselves and let people know the real us if they are brave and real enough to cross their first impressions of us.
Hmm, have to see what a 'neo' death note game is now. xD
I'm relaxing before I go out to cause mayhem on unsuspecting people at work. xD
Well, can't say I'd change too much but some things I would based on some current issues today. It'd eliminate most arguing over some sensitive topics. In the end, if I was feeling kinda omnipotent, I suppose it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility that I'd do the following: 1. I'd make it so that pregnancy would only happen if both the male and female wanted a kid. Basically self-willed, so that no more 'unwanted' babies would happen and abortion would also be over for the most part. Making both people responsible means no one has the ability to screw the other person over either. Well, not as easily anyway. People can always find ways. 2. Make people slow aging dramatically around 25-40 some years of age so they can enjoy life more in their primes. They can also work for longer periods so that the system could be redesigned and children, elderly and injured could be treated better while also ensuring that those in their prime could have vacations and such since the majority of population then would be in this group. I'd also make it so that no more 'birth related' defects would happen and all people could have their chance to grow up healthy. 3. Make some more worlds that are capable of life support and other creatures etc because that'd be fun and people could colonize new places and have some adventure if they want. It'd also address over population and encourage creativity. 4. Make it so healthy foods taste better than junk food and that addiction to things such as food, drugs etc, becomes a thing of the past. Make 'healthy' cigarettes that won't stimulate cancer or annoy others. Make bubblegum chewers capable of learning to chew with their mouths closed. >.> Pet peeve totally. xD Make roofies and mickeys etc incapable of being used to affect people at all. Make it so people can declare when a 'buzz' is over on their own will so that they can sober up to drive, do tasks, go to work, etc not stoned or drunk. 5. Give some scientific way of improving energy without such a cost to the environment or to people's wallets. Drive oil companies into the ground, where the oil should stay. xD Grant those with creative ideas that could work for waste management, energies, etc a voice and that corporations can't just buy out the ideas and bury them. Make 'oops' accidents to those corporations that do this happen so that some of the ideas already out there could have a chance to be heard. Hate to manipulate people's hands in this stuff but at the same time, if people invent stuff that can help others, it seems wrong that we never see it. Basically, in the end, I wouldn't want to change much more than that, other than perhaps making some animals more resistant to things humans do so they don't die out, and stopping some horrible tragedies from happening like hurricanes, tsunamis and such. I believe taking out the 'challenge' to life entirely would be wrong and also handing people everything would also be wrong as well, to advance and evolve, we need some challenges and hardships. Also, to develop commonsense seems important so only through adversity do most people even see a reason for it. I think leaving cures for diseases and such in the hands of others and having a life/death cycle keeps us moving and well, maybe in its way, makes me at least appreciate life more while I have it. Of course though, if people went and did try horrible things like launching nukes or bio-chem weapons on others, I'd probably step in too because that just sucks. I'd not want to involve myself too much in some things as I wouldn't want to be a crazy power monger deity or something, but I'd want to allow things to be a bit easier in life and yet keep it from getting dull, and as life would advance, I'd not want to be the -reason- for it but more of a help, while regular people would do the advancing more so than I would. Last thing on that note, I'd definitely not want to be worshiped etc. I'd probably make each thing above happen through some 'mortal' way of invention so that it wouldn't seem like an outer force did it all. That way there wouldn't be silly fights over religion. w00t.
Doing fine. How are you?
I'm kind of torn on the issue since there are other healthier alternatives out there than to have vending machines for soda, chips, candy etc that I think should be in schools instead. I also don't really like it that so many schools seem to have all this corporation stuff up nowadays because of selling the foods. If people bring in stuff, that's their own concern but I can't say I'd rather see the option of kids buying junk food at school from machines etc gone. Maybe some 'healthier' potato chips, drinks like teas, gatorade, flavored waters, sport bars or something as replacements would be better. Teens do need some carbohydrates etc but not the 'bad' kind all the time. I don't see a way of really 'regulating' how much junk food people buy unless a live person sells it instead of it being in vending machines, which in most schools, no one would want to pay someone money to sell it. In my school, the only junk food we had were ice cream bars and potato chips now and then and we survived. We were allowed to bring in stuff we wanted to. I hate outright 'banning' of stuff, but I do think there should at least be some healthy alternatives because some people just spend all their money anymore on crap food for lunch.
I'd probably end it since the you say you won't be able to get the game for another month anyway. You have more of a chance to save up to purchase a new PSP and though you might have to wait to play the game for a little longer, you'll be compensated later. You can always get 'back games' as well so it won't hurt you too bad to wait a bit longer. It's not like Dissidia won't be out on shelves for some time. It's a very nice thing to do, to send your cousin the game stuff you have. I'm sure he greatly appreciates it. Quite a few people wouldn't even bother to do such a thing though the choice is there in front of them. If it wasn't for the fact, I know you could get the game Dissidia anytime after, I'd say to wait and get the game, play it, and then send the PSP and game after you were done. But since you are able to acquire the game later, it can work either way. Good luck to you and either way, you're really doing a good thing here.
No need for the Ghost Busters today. Darn.
No, I doubt it, since the area the rep comments are put in are just places to put words you want them to say. I doubt coding would work in those for that regard. "They're' is neutral so that is why it was used.
I think it makes sense though why people with various gods to believe in can accept that other people believe in other gods easier than the monotheistic believers. After all, many have various gods for various purposes, whether it's nature, expression of humanity, the seasons, the constellations, the elements etc. They can accept there are other deities they aren't familiar with kind of because of that open mentality. In the end though, there will always be people out there who will say 'my personal god' is not imaginary while yours is. In the end, the only thing to really accept and understand about these people is that 'My god is real, yours is not' because 'it is my personal god'. As some people here mentioned, it's what they feel and what they believe in. So, as simple as the answer may seem, that really is the only answer to justify the claims in the end. Someone's personal opinion outweighs other people's opinions, based on what they feel and what they've been taught and bought, hook, line and sinker.
Yeah, I do. I'm just zoning before work trying to get up and was trying to figure out what you meant. I had a duh moment. xD
Ah, was wondering. lol. Sorry about that.
In the end, I want it all. And I want it now.
heh, that's cool. They did do a good job on that pic. I've seen a few others where they weren't so well done.
How is she fake? I know a lot of girls who dye their hair and have piercings and tattoos etc and they are some of the most real people I know. >.> Though yeah, her arm looks weird.
