...you're complaining that they don't look the right age?

Anime is not the best thing to go to for realism.

There are continuations in which Bruce Banner is able to preserve his intellect while still in Hulk form. Neither character can be considered a dumbass, so that shouldn't even be mentioned.

Anyway, Hulk wins this with a single finger.

One does not simply dictate a ship. A ship must come naturally. It is not a movement started by unaffiliated parties; it is an intimate occurrence that is meant only for the involved members. And it can bloom, even on a battlefield.

    Thanks, I'll look into this.

Nope. Tried about 5 minutes of the English dub on the anime. Needless to say I stuck with the subtitles.

I believe it's actually "Der Nutella"

You always capitalize the noun. "Der" is used for a gender neutral word, which I believe brand names fall under.

"Das" is for masculine. "Die" is for feminine and most plural forms.

I just finished watching the 26 episode series of "Neon Genesis Evangelion." That is, the original anime, from 1995-1996.

Obviously, it's not a complete watch of the series, and I'd rather not go through the ridiculous hassle/cost of finding a DVD for the film (which I've heard has some translation errors anyway,) so I'd like an answer to this:

What subgroup has the "best" subtitled upload of "End of Evangelion", in terms of video/audio quality and accurate (read: not completely literal) translation? A simple name of a subgroup to look for would suffice.

(also, for anyone who wants to watch "Neon Genesis Evangelion," I recommend the 2D4U encode with subtitles handled by Bloat)

The colors, the roads, the water, the randomly changed mile markers, the stretched cinematics, lighting, shadows, man...it's like they went out of their way to give us a terrible experience.

Yes I know I've beaten this horse before but God damn it still pisses me off.

Dual monitor 1080p. I do not need 4K in my bedroom. Far too small for that.

Damn, and I still remember when you were a newbie here. It was cool chatting it up with you and seeing you progress, but yeah, personal stuff takes priority.

I hope that you can come back once your situation has gotten better :\

Ok, mixing genres I'll accept, but what else?

Some people have argued that it's anime because it has a consistent story, where I'll point to Venture Bros and Archer, and ask "are these anime?"

Some people have argued that it's anime because of the art style, where I'll point to The Boondocks and Ping Pong, and ask "which one is anime?"

Some people have argued that it's anime because its eastern themes and designs and world, where I'll point to Samurai Jack and ask "is this anime?"

If you think any of these values belongs to a specific medium, I just can't agree.

Just because a work is, say, a tribute to, or homage to, or inspired by, something, does not make that work that thing.

I'm right here with you in everything you've said. It infuriates me when people try to label Avatar and Korra as anime...they don't even understand the term. They just like the convenience of a label: the truth is that "anime" and "manga" only exist as terms because they were used for things from Japan, and thus should strictly be that way, in my beliefs at least. They aren't determinants of quality (or lack of, as some opponents of anime like to try yelling.) It's ridiculous that where something comes from (or even LOOKS LIKE it came from, in the case of Avatar and Korra) are what people consider before the actual substance of that work.

AND OF COURSE I FUCk UP A SPOILER AGAIN
