I have to go to class soon, but I defs agree with both Laurence and Anixe here. I WILL HAVE MORE TO POST but a very condensed version of that is that as long as you give it a shot & not let your opinion sway because of good or bad things you've heard, that should be enough. I hate when people say "how can you not like x" and have been making a lot of effort to try to avoid saying it myself. You're entitled to your own opinion of something, and while other people may disagree, as long as you aren't parading it around as sheer, infallible fact (not you specifically but just people in general), you're fine.

And that time is finally here!

As you can probably tell from our new green recruits, we have started to begin interviews, meaning that this open round of applications is now CLOSED. As always, applications remain open for Premium members.

We have already begun messaging people for interviews, and have already conducted a few as we speak! If you haven't heard back about an interview, don't begin to roll about in dejection just yet! Depending on how these interviews go, we may approach more people as time goes on, so continue to bear with us as we try to reach the final stretch. As per tradition, once final decisions have been made, the Admins will be dispatching out messages to those who will unfortunately not be receiving an interview for this round. But don't get discouraged -- there's always the next opportunity, and maintaining your dedication and drive is a positive!

For real though, I always considered her the true MC to FF12. When she ended up joining the party, her actions/decisions ended up being what drove everyone forward, and Vaan (and also Penelo) seemed to be much more of a foil to her if anything. Mainly in that they were both commoners & had given up on their revenge while she was very much the opposite, lol.

Agreed. It's very difficult considering everyone has a different spectrum of stuff they can take before reaching a breaking point.

Though I always considered people that take constructive, well intentioned, polite criticism as being an attack as being oversensitive. Similarly, people who automatically, indiscriminately flip out on someone if they said something that was kinda bad/not the most informed opinion.

Like I said though, it also varies on the person. Although I would probably not be a fan of them if they did the above /shot

The problem with the situation, as is presented through the tweet, is that we don't know how often mean things were said and what both parties were doing. It's one thing if the kid is being absolutely obnoxious about the backpack and the franchise, and then some people say rather mean spirited things to him and he starts to bawl about it. In that case, both parties need something said to them, and the kid especially needs to hear that if he's going to be incredibly obnoxious and in people's faces with what he does, he should expect some backlash and make some stride to tone it down.

It's another thing if the kid is just wearing the backpack and happens to like the show, and these people are going very much out of their way to start stuff with him. If you're being the former, that's one of the few times where I could see the "grow a thicker skin" argument to be something to abide by. In the latter, that's just excusing people to be horrible to someone who's not even doing anything wrong.
