To be fair, Cam Clarke got better and the animation really improved his delivery to the player. He really needs mo-cap .____.
The GC version has better graphics, the same voice actors as the rest of the series, and absolutely more ridiculous cutscenes (snake jumps on a missile ). It also plays like MGS2 with the environments of MGS1, so you're more capable. Not only that, you have a full health bar from the start of the game instead of needing to beat bosses to expand your health. It's hard to say which version Koji finds canon- cutscenes from both games appear in flashbacks in MGS4, and the GC version has the same same voice actors as MGS4's returning characters. However, MGS1 is alluded to more than Twin Snakes. Short answer? Play both. Play MGS1 on easy/normal, then play Twin Snakes on hard. You'll get both experiences and can decide for yourself.
I bought every available item from not-Nabbit by the third dungeon. Rupees are not hard to find. It's also the weakest entry in this series from my perspective. I got the master sword in my first sitting with it and the whole experience felt like a rushed, tour of A Link to the Past. Same.

I corrected you to say that people enjoy it and it's your taste. Incidentally, your precious Kojima has even said it's "not a bad game" and "holds to the Metal Gear spirit" but he calls it "crap" because he didn't like the writing. Uh lots of people. A lot of YouTube reviewers especially. I hate ProJared, but even he enjoyed Snake's Revenge. Snake's Revenge is a good game and people shame it like it's broken or not fun because it's not canon. People who've short of been rediscovering it have grown fond of it. It's grown into a min-cult idol. So yeah, to answer your question: Lots of people in their right minds think Snake's Revenge is good. It is. Worst bits are the sidescrolling sections.

Like, you have all the power in the world to keep up with it but because you're keeping up with other things you can't keep up with this one topic that may interest you? Maybe I don't have good enough DL speed to watch Korra and I was waiting for the DVD releases. Maybe I have work. Maybe I have a child to raise. Not a moot point at all. In fact, it's the entire point of why spoilers are naughty. You can't just throw obligations and context on people's lives while ruining something they may want to see.
