The Original Life Fiber connecting to Honnouji's dishes to broadcast the signal up to the space satellite was the initial plan, but due to Gamagori destroying the dishes, she was pretty much like "lol u think i can't improvise BITCHES AIN'T ****" and had Nui fuse with it to give it enough juice, then she fused with it & pleasured flew her way to the satellite.

I doubt she wanted to fuse with it in the first place considering she was adamant on no one ever touching it ever, but that's how I had interpreted it.

I do think they dropped the ball on consistently explaining things well, and dropped a lot of plot points like Nudist Beach entirely (though I laughed so hard at them by the end omg), Tsumugu's sister, and so on.

If they do movies I will watch the **** out of them. I loved the Gurren Lagann ones, even if they weren't as well held together as the show.

I will admit that the gamers revolution sounds a little cheesy to me, but this looks so fun. I love gameplay that let you fly and do balls off the wall stunts/parkour EVERYWHERE, so I am definitely gonna donate to the Kickstarter and see where it goes.

You don't know the main ambitions yet.

Based just on where you are now though (entering Ep. 17), pretty much at this point all you need to know is the Kiryuins serve Life Fibers and carry out the whims of the Original Life Fiber (aka Hugeass Yarn). Life Fibers are an alien race and were responsible for the evolution of humanity as we know it. They feed off the energy of humanity, and cover the subject to do so since bonding with the host kills them (why they're called "COVERS").

Nudist Beach is in direct opposition to this ploy and wants to destroy Life Fibers before they & the Kiryuins subjugate humanity. Dr. Matoi worked to develop Senketsu specifically for Ryuko so that she may be able to put an end to the Kiryuins' ambitions. Her position is a tad bit ambiguous since, while she and NB share the same goal of defeating the Kiryuins, Ryuko is friends with Senketsu, who is clothing, so she clashes with their alignment (especially Tsumugu's).

I can agree with the consistency. I've been thinking about the series & do see a number of problems it has (some plot point left hanging in the aether, black humor jokes in the first few episodes that were offensive, etc.) and I would have liked to see a more wholesome and mapped out plot. But at the same time, despite all that I still love it a lot.

The fanservice ended up being a major plot point in the show. :v It could have been given more time for an explanation, but they explain why it's relevant (which is more than some other animes do, lol).

though to be fair I think a good chunk of people are just joking when they say it, lol. people who claim it to be the god anime has been waiting for (and inversely, the scum of anime) need to cool their jets

I watched gameplay videos of the stuff shown at PAX East this weekend and Child of Light looked so good. I'm definitely going to pick it up, though if it costs too much I'm probably gonna wait till I save up more money since I am deadset on buying Transistor next month.

Not that I think of, though she certainly wasn't opposed to it. Mako nearly getting deepfried in one of the early episodes (and then dissected by the Bio club) come to mind, as well as when she tore up all the students right after Ragyo brainwashed them pre-time skip. She was a pretty solid "the ends will justify the means" character, so it just depends on how people feel about that line of thinking in accordance to what she did.

But yeah, she never went out of her way to kill anyone that wasn't Ragyo. Not counting Ryuko though since she always kinda started it with Satsuki...lol.

I'm interested as to how this was the first thing she thought of when hearing assimilation, lol.
