They've already shown a vid of gameplay footage, so I doubt the release would be that far off. They must be at least a good bit into the production, if not half way. Everything hasn't been revealed, yet we've already been shown a new character (last month). I'd say early 2008, though that's just me.

Oh christ xD I used to be completely obsessed with it. I'd play it non-stop all the time since I got it at Xmas 2004.

I've got the normal one, University, Business and Pets. Also the Family Fun Stuff add-on.. thing.

I completely lost interest in it earlier this year. :/ Once I had them all on my puter, it went really slow. I didn't have the patience for the lagging and load times, and it got really boring. Is it actually possible to have EVERY expansion and add-on, and at the same time have a normal-running PC? xD

If there really is a God, hopefully he'll cease production of this monstrocity -_-'
