I can tell you've never been in an online relationship. It's not any more static than most teenage relationships. Heck, most relationships these days are centered around sex. Online, you don't have the physical temptations, so the relathionship can be built on an emotional and mental level before you ever even get a chance for the physical.
Please back this up with some evidence. I'm not claiming that I fully love DF. I know that I care about him a lot, but I'm reluctant to use the word love to mean anything more than the love one has for their friend. I'm just a bit annoyed that you totally dismiss the possibility.
Then that's a Seattle record, not a world record, silly.
New world record? o_O In my state, it was 110 a few weeks ago. And that's normal this time of year.
But they have to follow the rules. Cuz I said so. D:
But DF's the only one allowed to tickle torture me until I pass out. D:
Spoiler I'm scared. D:
*all too aware of this fact* Thanks for the vote, though. <3
You mean like, someone posts a pic, then a bunch of people edit it, then post their creations?
*made new thread since other was locked* I'm glad it got changed and all... but the new one sounds kinda... I don't even know how to describe it. "Destined for ballads"? Seriously? It should at least have an "is" before it. Don't mean to complain, but come on... Maybe "User should have songs written about them"? Same idea, better wording, imo.
I voted for you guys. Yeah, I'm not really sure what "..." is supposed to mean in this context...
I believe when he said 8, he meant on a hottness scale of 1-10. Could be wrong, but that makes the most sense.
Is it just me, or does the thread title make it sound like girlfriends are presents you get for Christmas? >_>
I was listening to this song on my iPod, and I figured it would be relevant to the discussion.
Hmm, every time I ask this question, people assume the internet is limited to text. They usually don't take into account webcams and voice chats. I agree with Yuna that good online relationships may be stronger than the ones that are basically all physical. The advantage of an online relationship is that the physical temptations aren't as strong, so there's more time to work on the mental and emotional bonds. Then again, I do understand that pure text relationships are risky, since it's much easier to lie through text than with a webcam and mic.
Countless times, whenever I mention anything about my boyfriend, people have told me that because it's on the internet, it can't possibly be real. Why not? Why does it seem so impossible that two people could actually have feelings for each other over the internet? I want to hear other people's opinions before I counter.
Too lazy to check his thread in the Departure Lobby? *sigh* During the school year, he was at his college dorm which had internet access. In the past, at home, he was able to access his neighbor's wifi and use that to get on. However, that's not an option for him anymore, so he has to find wifi hotspots to access the internet. He left because he figured he'd rather use his limited internet talking to me instead of lurking the forum.
~Link~ At least 14 votes for ASxDF, and I will be happy. I don't care if I win or not, I just have to beat her.
There's no definite age. It's really moreso if you're mentally and emotionally mature enough to actually understand it.
Actually, yes they can. *has lurked as a guest on my mom's computer*
