Underrated does cover that, yeah. It's not so much about rep/likes as it is how unnoticed they may be compared to others and stuff like that. Overrated is more for those who are talked about/brought up/referenced nonstop.

There is a reason and they do hint at & eventually flat out say it later on, though it's pretty rooted in the plot as to why the Kamui are as skimpy as they are. Also, and the creators mentioned this in a Newtype magezine I think, the show was originally supposed to be entirely a Battle Royale show, but they added in a plot and stuff after they got further along before the show aired. The writing is all over the place, and the show doesn't aim to hide that fact. Below said it best:

and even the characters acknowledge it after a while:

it's not a show you watch for story, haha. It's mainly for the action and also the characters (Satsuki the queen the bae etc.) It's sorta like how people react to Gurren Lagann: you could find some deeper meaning (GL as a coming of age story of a young boy to develop self confidence, KLK as a coming of age for a girl who tries to find a sense of family & belonging), but they also don't waste their breath in trying to get people to acknowledge those meanings either.

At their core, both of these shows are balls off the wall, hyped as hell, absurdly crazy unapologetic pieces of media. KLK does have some pleasant surprises with the character interactions, but I also know it' does not intend in any way whatsoever to say anything profound in the way of themes or anything. If that's not anyone's thing, that's cool, and if it fits you, you're in for a fun ride.

Of course there are also problems I have with Kill la Kill which Below touched on again:

and a few other jokes in the starting episodes (first 2 specifically) that were too much imo. There's also the that they don't show anyone react to in a realistic way for a while. I do have to give it credit though, as the male/female skimpyness ratio actually ends up fairly balanced throughout? And the female characters actually end up wearing more clothing than the dudes after a certain point (even with the Kamui on!), lmao.

All that said though, it's a good show to watch for a quick, non-mind straining fun time.

tl;dr: i should write a review of this show i am too invested in these half naked kids

There is an option to enable it, but it unfortunately would be too intensive because of the amount of members we have.

Hyugapooga speaks the truth. In the podcast episode threads (this is the latest one), there's a link to an application to be on the podcast, as well as a link to send in a topic (which would allow you to be the priority guest if that topic is chosen). Be warned that there is a pretty lengthy queue, so it could be a while before you do get on.

Hey everyone. As you know, during the User Awards last year, we decided to conduct the 'Worst Male/Female/etc.' categories on a self nomination basis; that is, you would only be nominated and put on the poll if you nominate yourself. This was done due to concerns regarding behavior & such during the year preceding last year's awards.

A few people, however, have come forward and said they would like these categories to revert back to how they used to be -- which was an open nomination basis.

As a result, this will be a poll to gauge which people would prefer to have.

    To describe the options briefly:

Self Nominations: You and you alone can only nominate yourself for the 'Worst' categories. You can rescind your nomination at any point of it does make you uncomfortable later on, preferably before the poll is made.

Open Nominations: Anyone can nominate you for the 'Worst ' categories. If you are nominated and end up lines to be in the poll, you will be contacted right after nominations are all tallied and have the option to remove yourself from the poll if you are uncomfortable with it.

Doesn't matter: Who cares??? If this does end up getting a majority of the votes, then I will take it as keeping self nominations as they aren't bothered by it.

Poll lasts till Saturday night. Vote on.

Yup, that's only fair to do. I'll make it in this forum tonight and it'll be open until suggestions close (Saturday night).

Yeah, they can opt out of other categories, but they typically (outside of the Art & Hottest Male/Female categories) don't know they've been nominated until after the poll is up. If general nominations are done again this year, I'd be letting them know long beforehand so they're aware, and also so that people don't vote for someone only for them to get removed from the poll/their vote to be lost (assuming removing someone from the poll doesn't let you vote again).

I could make it solely Prems, though that would also require a lot of tweaking on the way permissions are currently setup.

As I'm sure you've noticed from the member cards wigging out and Noteable Members not working for like 10 minutes, finally got the Prem tab to work! However, currently, it's only showing 20 Prems (S. Mods/Mods/Reporters included). I'm looking for a way to display all Premiums currently, so that should hopefully be up pretty soon.

Why are you letting people know of the plan to upload Admins' brains to the rest of staff. This is supposed to be a secret, goddammit.

Certainly one of the threads I'll never forget. For better or for worse (definitely for worse)

I had to journey through the mountains to find the river of the gods. With slow care only heard of in fiction, I had to embrace every inch, every particle of the water before I could arise anew, cleaner than all that came before me and ready to accept my role as the the leader of the new shower dynasty.

I ran into complications last night and then ended up closing the tab out. Have been doing some research to where I was going wrong, so it should be up soon (if not, then I make Misty to do it)

PROBABLY GETTING SLIGHTLY OFF TOPIC BUT

RPG is an all encompassing term for games where the player takes the role of a character in some setting. Since you meant turn based RPG's specifically, then the same bloatware thing I mentioned above applied when I played through Child of Light (tho I gave all of mine to Aurora).

I went back to check on this and found it. The initial comment seemed more in jest if anything, and then it ended up escalating from there as a couple people took it as a complaint and argued about that point. Other than that, which was handled relatively quickly, I do see your point. As I offered earlier:

And that still holds true. If there is a popular demand for it and we do decide to revert back to general nominations, I do hold that it would be only fair to let people know before the poll that they were nominated and can opt out if they choose to.

I wouldn't say I'm open to games as much as I'm willing to grow into them. FPS games put me off for a long while because I thought I would be absolute trash and wouldn't have much fun as opposed to playing a game in third person, but then I got Borderlands 2 off of PSN and a few people I have added there can tell you I play the **** out of it, lol.

Probably the one type of game I've tried a lot and haven't gotten into yet are MMOs. I've tried a couple browser ones, tried League, and while the interest is there for a bit, I always just end up losing interest and putting them down. It makes me feel kinda bad since FFXIV looks hella fun, but I could all too easily see myself bailing out after a few months and end up wasting money on the monthly sub for nothing.

I've never had any qualms with using them. Buying them for use is one thing; I never splurge for Proteins & the like in Pokemon since it feels kinda cheap (imo), but like SJ said, if the game is giving them to you for free, I figure it wants you to use them at some point.

I feel the same way. I tried to do this in KH2 a while back, but they just felt like bloatware after a while and I wanted to be rid of them.
