I read an interesting article a while ago about the Bechdel Test and how even if a film passes it, it still isn't necessarily indicative of a strong female character. The article put forward a proposed 'Mako Mori Test,' which I think is more fitting (if still lacking in some departments):
1. He's Native American. 2. I haven't played TLoU (yet), so I can't talk more than that question than I have. On FF12 though, I'd say Ashe is definitely the character we're meant to follow the closest and eventually becomes more of a heroic character after she starts to let go of her quest for absolute vengeance. 3. That's true. Although while it doesn't truly break from the mold, it does at least offer representation of another race & doesn't put her down to stereotypes, so it is a step in the right direction in my book, even if it's not a very large one.
Just started reading through the article and agreeing so far, but a couple minor nitpicks: Why is Delsin lumped with the 'white male protagonists' when he isn't white? TLoU spoilers?? Isn't Ellie the protagonist of TLoU & Jole is just the one we play as (similar to the Ashe/Vaan thing in FF12)? Using Mirror's Edge as an example for the 'fit busty female protag' isn't really apt to me since Faith 1). kinda has to be fit to do all the crazy parkour Runners are required to (and she also canonically trained for years to do it), and 2). she isn't really busty?
HEY GANG. Rather small notice, but I added an Idol prefix to the section and applied them to previous voting rounds. @Amethyst feel free to use it whenever you make any future Idol threads~ also i am sorry for all 19 alerts i gave you
Yeah, the bar and other info in the postbit is a just for now deal with the KHV8 style. Misty already explained everything else, so I doubt there's much for me to add on that front, haha. For the moment though, it is possible to show with just the number. I'm not entirely sure though how many would prefer having the bar or having the number, though I do think that the number could look neater (unless you have like...120000000 rep).
BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT A PREMIUM, ...why do i have no nickname for you But for real, technically you were never part of the Premium usergroup, so you are ineligible for that poll.
You join me in the corner where we cry for the rest of our days.
Yeah, it's a solid green bar all the way across. To tell how much someone has, you just have to hover your cursor over it.
Yeah, if you're using a Windows 8 computer, the Skype app pre-installed is awful; I downloaded the Skype for desktop after using the app version for a good 20 minutes, lol.

"CHERRY BERRY AND LLAVE 4 CUTEST REAL COUPLE #2014 HOLLA" BOY WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN WHY DID YOU TWO NOT TELL ME SO I COULD UPDATE MY SHIPPING...
It really depends on what you want/need the most. If your laptop isn't cutting it for you anymore, I think that should be your priority since you'll likely use that the most out of all your choices here. @Misty is your best bet for computer related questions and deals, lol. For PS Plus, Target has a nice deal running atm ($40). Headset wise, I use this and it's also $40. The sound quality is extremely clear and it's pretty easy to setup and use.
The only video ad she'll accept.
You can nominate someone for an award if they qualified between the end of last year's Awards and the start of the current Awards. :] e.g. Since Cat was a premium member and then got made staff, she is eligible for both Best Premium and the staff awards.
hail basilissa's fabulous muscles and let her guide you to the oceans of testosterone beyond the manliest man award
It's removed. ._. I don't see it in the list either (unless Jayn ninja edited it out).
Buy a PS4 Give it to me I play Grim Fandango Remaster we both win
That's what I'm hoping for as well. Amon fell apart from his initial appearance to the end, and Unalaq...it just felt like we didn't learn anything substantial about him; why/how did Vaatu contact him, where did he learn to be as spiritual as he was, and so on. He had the vibe of a well intentioned zealot at the beginning, but by the end he was just entirely morally wrong. I'm hoping that they do take time to explore the characters, their relationships, motivations, and all that. With the ATLA vibes it's giving off, I'm cautiously optimistic it will at least be better than the previous Books. People have been saying LOK should move on from the ATLA vibe and be more mature/whatever (an argument I never got because ATLA was very mature underneath some of the goofier aspects), but I think returning to their roots in some respects should be productive in helping to solidify LOK more and bringing it up closer to being what it should be as a proper successor to ATLA. Also THANK GOD IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S NOT A WATERBENDER FOR MAIN ANTAGONIST AGAIN.
I AM CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC FOR BOOK 3 even though I'll probably still like it even if I have as many problems with it as I have Books 1 & 2 also Lin being a good character again THANK GOD
